Fínasta hótel á góðu verði og vel staðsett. Stutt að Times Square. Góður og vel útilátinn morgun matur og hreinlæti á herbergjunum mjög gott. Mæli með Best Western ef fólk vill hagstætt en gott hótel. Við vorum með tvö börn með okkur, 9 og 12 ára sem líkaði einnig vel :)

Hótelið er nálægt flugvellinum og er fínnt til að skella sér á yfir nótt, skoðaði ekkert hversu nálægt það var annari þjónustu.

"Mjög gott hótel á góðum stað"
Hótel Belleclair er gott hótel með góðri þjónustu. Staðsetningin er mjög góð þar sem stutt er í það helsta sem vert er að sjá. 10 mín. gangur í Central park og enn styttra á lista og sögusafnið í New York.Stutt frá Times Square og fullt af verslunum allt í kring. Á næsta horni við hótelið er matvöruverslun, kaffihús sem er opið allan sólarhringinn og […] apótek stutt frá. Stutt í subway lestirnar og leigubílar á hverju strái,frelsisstyttan og fleiri merkir staðir ekki langt frá.. Ég mæli hiklaust með þessu hóteli Lesa meira
"Took 15 min for adequately hot water, construction"
Extreme construction, room slightly dirty (in corners/chipping paint, etc), very dated bathroom and the hardest part was the cold, cold water shower I was forced to take because I couldn't wait to let the water warm up adequately. All staff were very nice.
"N ice room but thin walls"
I must admit, the hotel room looked very nice from the website and upon arrival, I was not disappointed. Nice sized room with hardwood floors, comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. However, the elevators we very cramped as it barely held 3 people each with one bag of luggage each. The hotel was pricey for the amenities. The air conditioner sounded like a landing helicopter all night. The hair dryer had one option: burn. There is no food service, only coffee and breakfast bars in the morning. All of the service people were extremely nice.
"spare but comfortable"
Location just off Broadway is very convenient, comfortable walk to Lincoln Center and ample restaurant choices in area, easy walk to Central Park. Room was sparely furnished: bare faux wood floors, no pictures or drapes, which was a little unsettling when we first arrived. However, king sized bed was comfortable, room was spacious for New York, comfortable […] chairs and desk. First morning we purchased a breakfast voucher for a nearby cafe, which we would not do again - inexpensive but very limited choices. Parking was an issue both coming and going - hotel has valet parking, but when we arrived there were no spaces anywhere near the hotel to unload, there was no bellman at the front door and my husband had to circle the block several times while I went into the hotel to find a bellman who eventually took charge of the car. When we left, in spite of being told it would take ten minutes to get the car, we waited an hour. We chose the hotel based on decent reviews and a good price, it would not be our first choice, but if the price were a bargain we would go back. Lesa meira

"Great hotel for short stay-clean, good location"
My husband and I needed a place to stay only for one night and near the highway to get uptown and this was the perfect location and hotel for that. The room was surprisingly big for 2 adults, was clean and very modern--the only downside was the washroom which was fine size wise but obvuously in need of a makeover to match the rest of the modern room. […] The lobby was under construction but dont need fancy place to sit as you are barely in the hotel. The Belleclaire is in the heart of the Upper West Side, so you can shop at Zabars, Citarella and other local favorites, and jog or walk in Central Park. Like most New Yorkers, you'll also be trading roominess and modernity for those conveniences. Old-style radiators are noisy, and bathrooms could use an update. "hot hot too hot"
the room was extremely hot -- our only option was to crank an AC unit to high that did not work. In the middle of the night, in a sweat, we called maintenance, who broke open the window. Room was too tiny to move around in, the "new" paint was patchy in places. It was dusty. The carpeting in the hall needed a good sweeping. Service was friendly and […] professional. "Nice (small) room in a good location with shower"
Nice bed, small room, the right price in the right location, pleasant staff, has most amenities one wishes. Parking is expensive. a large shower, but no tub in the basic room I rented.

Very clean, helpful staff, little noise, and safe location convenient to subway and Central Park. Comfortable beds, too. Excellent value.
"Under renovations"
This hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation. I was not informed of this when I booked. I was given an upgrade, which was appreciated. The room felt a bit dingy, there was no extra seating, no where to put belongings. The bathroom was tiled with a dark green tile, a closer look, and the mildew was evident. One day the beds were poorly made, […] and the next one of the beds wasn't made at all. There is alot of construction going on in the neighbourhood and it is very loud. Overall, I was disappointed with this hotel and would not go back. But I will certainly return to NYC! Lesa meira

I was disappointed about the lobby renovations but it didn't affect our stay - and the temporary guest lounge was nice. Our room had a strong alcohol/chemical smell when we first checked in but it went away by the time we returned to the room. The main complaint I had was with the window air-conditioning unit. "A gem under renovation"
The hotel accommodated us early, which was appreciated. Our first room had a double bed instead of a queen (which we had requested), but they moved us to a room with a king bed within 20 minutes. Unassuming location with the front entrance sort of hidden out of sight from the street. Comfortable walking distance to Central Park and the Museum of Natural History. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful! There was some construction going on in front when we first arrived so we asked for a room away from the noise and we were […] very accommodated to that request. We received a quite, lovely suite with a deluxe bathroom and separate living room area. All very spacious! Gorgeous furniture and comfortable kingsize bed, cushy linens and pillows, w/a fold out couch in the living area for our teen. The hotel offers a nice lounge suite with free newspapers, a computer (free access), light "eats" and drinks tea/coffee/ice water and a workout room. "Great location but uncomfortable"
We have stayed at the Belleclaire several times in the past, and had an adequate-sized room with functioning climate control and TV. This time, however, the air contioner was so noisy it was impossible to watch TV or carry on a conversation with it on. The sound on the TV dropped out, and this continued despite an attempt of hotel to fix it. The bathroom […] was so narrow, that it was very difficult for even one person to turn around in it. "great hotel"
We liked the hotel a lot. Stayed for fice days. Only problem was the lobby area under construction, and the temporary room for computers and coffee. But once this remodel is finished it will be very very nice. The staff was great.

"Street and Hotel Under construction - NOISY"
We've stayed in several hotels on the upper west side. This one is under construction at the moment (spring 2012) but the street noise on the Broadway is horrendous, couldn't sleep at all. The rooms are nice, reasonably big with comfortable bedding, but the bathroom wasn't very clean when we checked in and the noise from the street makes it extremely […] uncomfortable. Perhaps if they got better windows... Staff was not helpful, early checkin impossible, awkward setup with baggage storage and "guest lounge" on second floor - at this price per night I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel. "The Belleclair staff makes the differance!"
Room was clean & comfortable. Two blocks from the Metro made getting around easy. Lobby was under construction while there so it was a bit cramped but when that is completed I'm sure it will be nice & open As for the staff they were extremely nice & very helpful with out being over bearing or fake.

Our original room was too small for 2 people. The next morning we asked for, and received, an upgrade to a larger room at no additional charge. The only problem we experienced was a slow drain in the shower/tub. They had it unplugged within an hour. Great location, great staff and all in all good experience.

"Too Much Noise"
I was on the 2nd floor with a nice corner room overlooking Broadway. The windows did not close tight and the noise was like being right on the street below. Very difficult to sleep.
It is a renovated old hotel. The room we had was small but nice. The hotel lobby was under renovation and small. However, the staff was friendly and efficient. Its classics also gave me warming feelings it is also in a great neighbourhood, close to subway station. We enjoyed having breakfast and shopping in local stores.

Great neighbourhood, shame about the room. Dark, cramped, at the end of a winding corridor. We were disappointed and moved the next day. Did not measure up to the online hype. Renovations which we were not warned about, nowhere to even stop and unload luggage outside as scaffolders there and the opposite block being redeveloped as well. "Hotel Belleclaire, a good choice in New York"
We were concerned when we arrived at the Hotel Belleclaire as it was in the middle of a renovation. There was no lobby, only a check-in desk, and two elevators and one staircase were closed. They are doing a good job in spite of those challenges; for example, using a large suite as a guest lounge to make up for the lack of a lobby. Offering coffee pots […] in each room would be a huge improvement however. Staff were helpful and the room was small but nice. Location is excellent. I expect it will be one fine hotel after the renovations are done and well worth a future stay. Lesa meira
"Ok hotel"
Its an old building and it shows some. I had to change rooms because the wind was howling so loudly in the room and I dscovered the windows had been taped up to either keep them closed or less drafty. But its a great location, and outside a beautiful building and the price was good.

"Excellent location, but by no means perfect"
The location of this hotel was fabulous, but there are a few drawbacks. Our free internet access only worked intermittently, and when it did work, it was incredibly slow. The bathroom smelled musty throughout the whole stay even though the room was cleaned regularly. Our in room safe also did not work and when this problem was brought to the attention […] of the front desk, we were told they were sorry, but no effort was made to remedy this situation. Lesa meira
Everything was lovely - the bathroom was old, but clean. My biggest problem was that I was awoken at 8am by extremely loud banging that kept me awake and didn't allow me back to sleep. I was told that it was the heat. NOT happy about that!
"Hotel Belleclaire was a success again"
This was our second visit in 2 years with 2 teenaged girls. The location is perfect, the staff are helpful, the rooms are clean and in the back they are quiet. Our favourite diner Manhattan Diner is no longer there, but the great huge grocery store around the corner has terrific take-out foods. There's LOTS to eat and lots to do. Best location!

Lobby under renovation so very strong sawdust smell. Friendly service. Room smaller than I expected - no space to work at desk at all - its a very narrow piece of wood. Bed was fine. "Room was Way too Hot"
This hotel has a lot of potential- but needs some detail work - First off I would stay again - Great location - quiet so you can sleep - nice bed - good room condition (small room but this is NYC) - - However, The room was at least at 90 degrees when we went in and we could not get it cooled down - thankfully there was a window in the room (nice feature) […] and we kept it open the whole time.
