Frábær staðsettning í göngufæri við helstu merkisstaði og söfn Wasingtons. Herbergin rúmgóð og hlíleg, Morgunverðarborðið eitt það allrabesta sem fyrir finnst í Bandaríkjunum. Starfsfólkið hjálplegt og yndislegt í alla staði. Mæli með þessu eindregið.

"Mæli með þessu Hoteli"Metið af Samúel JS frá "Reykjavík" þann 7. nóv. 2011
Gisti í eina nótt og herbergið var mjög stórt og vel útbúið, nánast eins og svíta! Gott stórt rúm og fínt bað/sturta, stór sturtuhaus. Góður klæðaskápur m straubretti og járni. Ísskápur og kaffivél. Skrifborð og stóll og tölvusamband gott. Setustofa með sófasetti og allt mjög rúmgott og snyrtilegt. Mæli hiklaust með þessu hóteli og mun leita eftir Hyatt Place ef ég þarf í framtíð. Verðið var mjög sanngjarnt.
Mögulegt er að gjalds verði krafist fyrir aukagesti. Slíkt fer eftir stefnu hvers hótels fyrir sig.
Krafist er skilríkja með mynd og kreditkorts eða innborgunar við innritun vegna tilfallandi gjalda.
Það fer eftir framboði hverju sinni hvort hægt sé að verða við séróskum og þær gætu haft í för með sér aukagjald. Ekki er hægt að tryggja að hægt sé að verða við viðkomandi óskum.

"Germantown Homestead long stay"
This pleasant, warm, hotel on outskirts of city centre is quiet and safe and nicely placed near to a bar/grille and a steakhouse. No pool heated or otherwise and no jacuzzi. Each unit has its own kitchenette and reverse cycle airconditioner. The laundry is low cost and well equipped, and the front desk staff are helpful. Cleaning/linen change is every […] 7 days which gave a wonderful feeling of privacy to each room as there was no one banging on the door to come in and clean. There are no central corridoors, as each of the rooms has an outward opening door in motel style. There is a bracing walk to shops and nearby restaurants. Guests without a car might find that they do need to think in advance about preparing their breakfast food as there is no hotel restaurant. Lesa meira

"Comfortable and Satisfied"
Ben who checked me in was polite, accommodating, and professional. The evening gentleman was also polite and accommodating. When I asked a maintenance worker for directions, the maintenance worker was polite. I enjoyed my stay....
"An efficiency apartment for the price of a regular"
I was very pleased with my stay. The place was in excellent condition with a nice bed and very clean. The price was less than local hotels but there was no compromise on quality. I thought that this was normally an extended stay type of establishment and that if I wanted one night there would be some compromise, but I was wrong. Bedsheets and bedcovers has cigeratte holes on them. We were given non smoking room but the room smelled of cigarettes.

The room was very clean, had a microwave, stove top, fridge, and pantry. Given the (very) modest price of the room, it was a great value, and and I would readily rent a room again from this hotel.

It was a good place to stay it close to a lot of amenities and transportation which was important for me. Making the booking online made it simpler to check in and out.

don't bother staying here. this establishment is a shelter for people that the local government needs to house. disorganized at the very least. first and last for me.

one-night stay during the U.S. Open ... Ben was very friendly @ check-in ... easy to get to location ,,, the room was very clean ... absolutely satisfied, I would say.

Contrary to other reviews we have seen about this hotel, we found the Homestead to be clean and cooperative. It was a good place to stay several years ago when we stayed there and it continues to be so. The location is great for seeing the sights but also for visiting our family in the area. Despite the fact that it was full to capacity due to a golf […] open occurring the same weekend we came, the service and cleanliness were excellent. Yes, the TV was not the newest and the tub had a chip on it but after all, this is not what we look for in a room. The air conditioning was very responsive to any changes in setting and all appliances & facilities worked well. The price, for an expensive area, was very reasonable. Was impossible to find, the front desk was hard to access, a few spots of what looked suspiciously like blood on the floor. I would have been more comfortable sleeping in my truck.

"Not worth the price."
When we walked into the lobby, there was no one there, only a sign saying they would return soon. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I finally called the reception desk and a clerk came after a couple of minutes. No elevators, a real problem if you are carrying luggage up a flight of stairs. The rooms were not worth the price we paid, they smelled […] like someone had been smoking (it was a non smoking room), the beds were really uncomfortable (hard and had valleys). At 10am, the maid came a knocking and demanded to know when we were checking out, check out was a 11am, felt that was a little bit weird. "Below average bedroom and bathroom conditions"
The shower head was not working properly. The bed was not comfortable and the comforter was torn. The TV in the bedroom is at least 15 years old. The location of the hotel is in a pretty safe neighborhood but the amenities of the hotel didn't meet my expectations at all. Although I stayed only for one night, it still bothered me.

"Not bad, but not great"
When we arrived, we were told that they were overbooked and we could not get the room we requested. They did have a room that was adequate. The room itself was old, the bathroom floor was not real clean around the edges, the fan didn't work well enough to keep the steam down. "OK just to spend the night"
This property is OK to spend one or two nights but there were no pots or pans for cooking (which I didn't need) or convenient way to wash dishes, so if that is what you want, don't stay here.

It's clean and comfortable, located right off of 270 and plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. It's a good value for the price. I've stayed here a few times for work in the area and will again.

"Great Hotel for Long Stay"
The hotel was very nice and the room inside was great. It's always a plus when staying somewhere at length to have a kitchen area inside. It was roomy and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing to stay in the Germantown/Gaithersburg, MD area. It was affordable compared to other hotels in the area which did not have a kitchenette. […] The only major complaint I have is the lack of a clear visual sign when driving toward the hotel. You can clearly see the large, tall Homestead sign in the distance, but when you drive closer to where the driveway entrance is, you end up driving past it because there is no smaller sign at the entrance. The only minor thing I could complain about is the cobwebs and dirt in the stairways. Other than those two things, I would gladly stay there again. Also, there is a movie theater at walking distance as well as convenience stores, restaurants, fast food drive throughs, and other great places such as Panera and Coldstone Creamery all right down the street. "Its cheap but not free"
I wouldnt have wasted my time here writing this review had it been any decent stay ... guys its cheap but not free, its not worth the money that I spent ... room service, reception desk .. they dont have basic courtsey even ... pots and pans were as if never cleaned before ... when I called desk, they said they would send someone to replace it but that […] never happened ... forget about it .. I am just too frustrated about it ... may be you need to try it to see how much of frustrating it could be .. good luck Lesa meira

"Glad to be there"
I really enjoyed this hotel. I'd stay there again and would tell others of this hotel. The Staff was helpful and very kind. Location was great. Area was quiet and safe. Fridge and microwave came in very handy. My only dissatisfaction with the room was the rug was a bit to dirty- so bring your slippers!!!

Comparing price to everything, this was by far the greatest value in the DC metro area. If you are the type of person looking for a lot of amenities for your dollars, then this would not be the hotel for you. However, it is in easy driving distance of a metro park and ride, and the room was clean. Nice to have a full kitchen too, if you don't want to […] drop a bunch of money in DC on food. Is it a 5 star stay, no, as there is no maid service, and you have to pay a one time 5$ fee to use the wireless network, but overall, we had absolutely no problems and this will be where we stay on our bi-yearly jaunts to DC. "Cheaper Hotel with kitchen"
Good location for my needs, but there were insects in the room, maybe because of the nearby wood/trees. Internet is extra $4.99 per stay (not per night). No shampoo/conditional provided, just cheap bath soap bars. No dishwasher or liquid dish detergent. No breakfast. I got a good deal, stay 3 nights and the 4th night was free, plus additional 10% […] off. Lesa meira
