Kom skemmtilega á óvart, ég átti ekki von á miklu en fékk allt sem ég þurfti, heimilislegt og hreinlegt lítið hótel með góðu starfsfólki. Og það spillti ekki fyrir að hafa fjölbreitt og skemmtilegt mannlíf í næsta nágrenni við hótelið ég mun ekki hika við að nota þetta hótel aftur þegar ég heimsæki Toronto aftur.
Staðsetning:
The Fairmont Royal York er viðskiptavænt hótel í Toronto. Roy Thomson Hall, Metro Toronto ráðstefnumiðstöðin og Air Canada miðstöð eru í göngufæri. Ráðhús Toronto og Nathans Philips Square eru einnig í nágrenninu.
Kostir hótels:
Á The Fairmont Royal York eru líkamsræktarstöð, innisundlaug, heitur pottur og eimbað. Þetta 4-stjörnu hótel inniheldur viðskiptaþjónustu, þ. á m. viðskiptamiðstöð, fundarherbergi fyrir smærri hópa, and eðalvagna- eða leigubílaþjónusta. "Great Stay"
I didn't know much about Toronto, but was told that the Fairmont was a nice place to stay. I had a great time, the staff were very helpful, and the location was perfect for the full downtown experience. The receptionist took the time to give me a tourist map along with a map that highlighted the many underground tunnels. The hotel itself is also very […] nice incorporating the 1920's art deco style along with all the modern conveniences. My wife and I joked that it reminded us of the hotel in Ghost Busters. The service was excellent. The condition of the room was needing some repairs. The room was overpriced for what it was.
"Missing in-room coffee"
Everything was good except that there was no coffee pot in the room so I had to get dressed in order to get my first cup of coffee
"Road work & Construction"
How long will this take the only thing inconvience was that you cannot get to the parking garage hope that this do not take long
We are located across the street from Union Station where a revitalization project is currently underway. While there are some lane closures in the area surrounding the hotel, our valet entrance remains fully accessible during this time. We update the driving directions on our website in accordance with this project and additional information can be obtained through the TTC's website.

"great hotel , dissapointing rooms"
hotel and services were great but the room was extremely out of date and small. have stayed at several hotels in the area with much nicer and larger rooms for far less. Wont be going back again
"Cramped rooms without any sound barriers"
The rooms are tiny. The neighbours were up all night yelling and swearing and their noise kept us up all night. Then in the morning the neighbours on the other side of us were making noises we could hear EVERYTHING! Have stayed there before, and knew rooms were small, but the noise was unbearable. "Fairmont Royal York Toronto -"
The location is a bit removed from most attractions, but it is fairly central, and the posh atmosphere is enjoyable. In terms of proximity, it is a quick cab ride or drive to most places you may wish to visit (it is near the public transit system as well.) The hotel is quite comfortable, though the rooms are not particularly large. My only real complaint […] is that it was difficult to find parking on my own. I would have had the valet do it but the lineup was enormous and they weren't moving particularly quickly. Lesa meira
"Very Accomodating"
Great hotel, treated with class, and the best pizza hut I've ever had. Upon checkout, Valet parking was 20 minutes late, but they were busy. Not the best 4 star hotel but close thanks to its great service.

"Showing its Age"
Great Location - some stand out service but it is starting to show its age and I am starting to prefer modern and sleek to old and grand. The location is outstanding and the hotel has a special place in my heart so I will return but would always recommend with that caveat

For a hotel that has a perception as being prestigious, the quality of the room didn't leave me with that impression

We had an overnight stay. The room was quiet, comfortable bed, nicely updated. Check-in was quick and simple. Valet service took less than 5 minutes. The Fairmont met our expectations. We would stay there on our next trip.

We were not aware that the hotel was under rennovations, the pool and hot tub were unavailable for use although they offered use of a pool and hot tub at near by locatins not as cnvenient as on site. Room was clear however hair dryer and tv wre broken. Staff was very courteous and repaired tv right away and replaced hair dryer. Hotel valet parking was […] expensive guess that is the cost of things in Toronto. Hotel has great access to Air Canada Centre and underground to Eaton Centre and other shopping. Lesa meira
To maximize the value of the health club and fitness centre experience, we close this area for a few weeks each year to conduct preventative maintenance, deep cleaning and an overall “refresh”. We are so sorry for the inconvenience this caused. The pool is now open with no planned closures in the immediate future. Stayed at the Royal York mainly because of it's proximity to the ACC. We were in town to catch the game. the hotel is somewhat dated in areas but it was good value for the money. Parking location and getting to and from the lot leaves a bit to be desired.

The staff had greeted as very well, the room was clean, the new year set up of making sure their were no parties or strangers entering upstairs was fair. the curtains in the room are the only complaint that they don't close fully so in the morning the light shines through.

Located in a great part of down-town Toronto...an endless list of entertainment possibilities. The hotel was beautiful, but the room was very small! My son-15 y/o-and I were very disappointed that the fitness facility was off limits to him!!! We won't be back.
Unfortunately only guests aged 16+ are able to utilize our fitness room and we apologize for your feeling of disappointment with this policy. We value our young guests and this is strictly a precautionary measure. Patrons of all ages are welcome to use our pool, however guests under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Love the hotel, always have. But room that I was given was less of a joy to the previous ones. Bathroom being the size it was was a dissapointment. A staff lounged on a side table which I passed a comment to her that it wasn't a chair. I maybe should have kept my mouth shut but after she stood up and I passed. I turned around to her sitting back on […] it. I felt the class of the hotel I was thrown out the window at that moment. I know New Years is a busy season and staff is overworked but standards still need to be met. The Fairmount Royal York should achieve them all the time. Unfortunately not this time. Lesa meira

Absolutely horrible showering experience in the room. No water pressure at all. I should have showered in the health club facilities. Besides that, decent hotel with a nice health club.

Returning guest. Friendly employees. Peaceful and classy hotel. Very accommodating. Close to many main shopping centers and restaurants. If you like renaissance style this is the place for you.

This was my first time staying at the Royal York. The hotel itself was very nice, clean and good value. My only critisizm would be the Hotel employee coming to check the mini bar after I was already checked in and in the room.

"comfort and style"
an excellent location across from the train/go station. walking distance to many fine restaurants and bars in the area. staff were friendly and helpful.
"Nightmare Before Christmas"
Booked a Deluxe Room and nothing could be further from reality. Handles hanging off the door, torn wallpaper repaired with tape, a 12 inch deep closet, dripping shower, and a tv that did not work. The response to a complaint to the front desk- have a free breakfast! They did not care and a subsequent apology and offer of a free night at such an arrogant […] hotel did not help. I suspect the reality was that the hotel was full because of Christmas parties and my wife and I were in an overflow room awaiting renovation. They hoped we would not complain and if we did, that we would accept their insincere offer of a free meal and go away. As I said in my complaint to the hotel directly, I have had better stays at motels during hockey tournaments with my son and for a lot less money. Lesa meira

We are thankful that this reviewer voiced concern while in-house and followed up with us directly, enabling us to address the condition of this guestroom as well as our shortfall in service.
