My stay at the hotel was excellent. The room (820) was quite suitable and well-equipped for the stay. Requests (for additional blankets, and information) were immediately met. Friendly & knowledgeable desk staff and check-in done efficiently. I was taking some back stairs to and from the parking lot. it was inconvenient and scary. This hotel is in the perfect location and the complimentary breakfast is awesome! The upkeep is varied, i.e. the carpeting needs to be changed throughout the hotel. "Well worth the extra few bucks"
We stood here for the wedding to attend a wedding nearby. It was a bit pricer than the other hotels but well worth the few extra bucks. "Good location and some convenient perks."
Staff nice. Maintenance staff were the friendliest. Older rooms, nothing bad, just needs overall upgrades. Great hotel for families. Food in am good and sometimes dinner was even provided. This hotel has potential, but is really dated. The outside of the building looks new, and the lobby areas look nice, but the rooms are filled with old furniture. The couches in the rooms aren't comfortable and there was an odd smell in the room. The bath products they supply aren't a very high quality either, and don't smell good either. The breakfast […] and dinner is a step below Taco Bell for the most part. The WiFi never worked well for me so I used a mobile hotspot from my cell phone for the duration of my stay. Pleasantly surprised by the convenience of public transportation to Fordham University. It was only 2 1/2 blocks from the hotel in New Rochelle to the Metro North train station, and 4 stops later drop off was right at the university. The hotel desk employees were very helpful and recommended a great Italian restaurant within walking distance of the […] hotel. The only negative was that internet service was unavailable one day when we were trying to check in for flight home and to print boarding passes. Full breakfast was very nice with lots of variety. "Non smoking hotel smells like smoke"
The last time I stayed at this location was two years ago and it was a very nice hotel back then. Now, it's shocking how awful it is. Rooms smell like cigarette smoke, the beds are very uncomfortable, the carpets look like they need a good cleaning, and the bed sheets looked unwashed. I'm extremely disappointed and I will never recommend this hotel […] to anyone. The rooms were large and well appointed but the hotel is at the entrance to an urban mall and when we arrived at 9:30 on a Saturday night, the neighborhood was swarming with crowds of kids (probably just rowdy and harmless, but probably intimidating to small children). You have to leave your car out front and get a ticket to go into the parking garage […] and use your room key to operate the elevator.
