I was very happy with my stay at the Hotel, the room was small but it was very clean with good service. The only problem I had was with the location, the hotel is within zone 1-3 so if you are staying for some time you might save yourself money by not having to buy zone 1-6 Metro tickets. However it is on the totally opposite side of the 1-3 zone related […] to the main attractions such as the Eiffel Tower. So prepare for spending some time in the Metro. The hotel is easy to find, but it is not very close to the Lyon station. The room was very small, and it was very noisy in the night, it was difficult to sleep, which I think it was no worth to pay such amount of money. However the staff was quite helpful.

The hotel is very conveniently located, it is very close to a metro station (less than 50 meters). This is really helpful in case you plan to explore Paris on your own. The size of the room is very small, and that is a little inconvenient. But overall, value for money.

Don't stay here! The staff were rude and offered us basically no assistance. We weren't even told there was a breakfast available until we checked out. The beds are awful (pillows are thin and offer no support, mattresses are worn through to the springs) and our room was hardly satisactory in cleanliness, we came back after a day out when our room had […] supposedly been cleaned to find what looked like urine on the toilet and floor. Rooms have no tea & coffee making facilities, are tiny and cramped (even for one person) and the 'free wifi' doesn't work once you get on level 7 apparently. Location was fantastic being right across from the underground and near plenty of food and shopping but that was literally the ONLY positive, the hotel itself was horrendous! Lesa meira

Stayed overnight on a hot August evening. The hot room was warm, the air condition did not seem to function (or be adequate to bring the room to an adequate temperature) and opening the window brought a lot of traffic noise.

the room I got was very small. there was a hole in one o the doors. It was very convenient there was a metro stop with in few steps of the hotel. a coffee shop right around the corner. It does not feel like a heavy tourist area.

Worn out carpet and tub. No Internet on 4th floor?! Really? This is the 21st century. Parking a hassle. 15 min walk to parking at train station. €22 per day. Nice staff. Awesome price!

The hotel was very accessible for attending a concert at Bercy. We had a room at the front of the hotel where it was extremely noisy the next morning with rush hour traffic.

The hotel is conveniently located beside a Metro stop and within walking distance of the Gare de Lyon. There weren't very many restaurants conveniently close. The rooms were very small but clean. It was very easy to get to downtown Paris from the hotel and the staff was very helpful in giving directions.

I can really recommend The Pavillion Bercy Gare De Lyon Hotel. We stayed for four nights and we were pleasently surprised of the comfort level of the room and the hotel in generel. The daily cleaning of the room was brilliant too. The price level was quite low for a double room and the room on the 5th floor had a nice view over Paris and over the small […] square by the hotel. And it had a small tv and a bathtub :) The hotel is seriously 25 meters from the metro station Dugommier so you can be at the vibrant Bastille Square in 10 minutes by metro. The Bercy area is also close to the wonderful Marais neighbourhood and the Oberkampf area. So don't worry about the location. There's also a lovely bakery/boulangerie 50 meters from the hotel. The only downside was that we were not informed about the fact that we had to pay a small city tax of a couple of euros when we checked out of the hotel. But luckily we had some euros left so it was no problem. Lastly we can recommend visiting Paris in the winter. Fewer tourists and more parisians ;) Lesa meira

Adequate, unexceptional - even a bit dreary. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom and I had to ask for it twice before it appeared. Its claims to be an Art Deco hotel are distinctly over-rated! I'd definitely be looking for an alternative hotel next time I'm in Paris; I've stayed in better 2* hotels.

Room was a bit small, but to be expected in Paris. Room was very clean, including bathroom. Balcony had reasonable view. I booked this hotel for its proximity to the Palais Omnisports, where I was attending an event. It's a 5 minute walk, or 1 Metro stop, to the arena. But the Metro station right outside the hotel doors ensured that the whole city is at your disposal! The area is more of a neighborhood than a big tourist destination, and that suited me just fine. Wifi […] is free but only available in the lobby - the lobby is very small but I was always able to grab a spot. Room was small but very comfortable - beds were nice and firm. No clock, which was strange. When I first arrived, the room smelled of a strange room deodorizor, but fortunately they did not use that during my stay. This hotel describes itself as close to Gare de Lyon - in fact it is close to Dugommier Metro Station which is great if you do not have luggage and fancy changing the Metro Line at least once from any of the Central points in Paris. Very noisy corner, with traffic at 3:00 AM on a warm night with no A-C. Had to open windows to be cool, then traffic was very loud. Limited services and limited access to Paris Center for the price. Won´t stay there again and won`t recommend this one.

The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Accommodations were nice, and like any other in Europe, small. The bathroom amenities were very nice except it was difficult to get 2 towels for 2 people staying in a 2 twin bed room. Breakfast was extra but a good service and convenient. This was a great place to stay as long as you can handle the small rooms with little space for cases. Well located with helpful staff and a good breakfast offered at a most reasonable cost.

This hotel seems to be selling rooms via Expedia, only to sell them again to higher paying guests, sending the Expedia clients to other, cheaper hotels. Other reviews say much the same thing, and I was almost expecting it before we arrived. For us, their excuse was that there was an electrical fault and my room was unavailable. They sent us further […] out of town to another hotel from the same chain - but minus a star or two. We refused to stay in that hotel at all, as the room was terrible, there were plumbing problems, and the room had just one bed - we had reserved two separate beds. We ended up going to another hotel well outside the city. So it took three cab rides (plus a long ride back the next morning to catch a train), lots of arguing, and plenty of anxiety to finally get a room for the night. We had paid for a hotel near Gare de Lyon, but ended up sleeping in the suburbs. Expedia should be more careful doing business with this chain of hotels. Lesa meira

Hotel service is one of the worst I have ever seen. It is really unbelievable! The maid who was supposed to do her work was very bad and lazy. Maintenance of the hotel is really very bad. I definetely would not recommend the Hotel.

This hotel was just a few blocks walk from the Gare de Lyon and it had a lovely little balcony. The room was clean and the bathroom modern. There were only two small pillows, no drinking glasses and no tissues in the room. We couldn't get the internet (for a charge) to work in the room but it worked in the lobby.

The room was small and simple but was clean and well maintained. The hotel is not near much but the neighborhood is nice and there is a subway stop literally right outside the door. Since I was in Paris to do business, my main problem was that the free wireless service does not work on the upper floors of the hotel. The staff found me a room on the first floor, but that room did not have a telephone for some reason, requiring another room change. Beyond that, it was fine. The hotel needs to invest in the wireless infrastructure […] so it extends to floors 3-8. I did get excellent response from the front desk staffer. This hotel is right next to the Dugommier metro station which made it so convenient to get around the city. It is located in a nice walking neighbourhood with quite a number of shops,restaurants and several grocery stores. We found the hotel to be quite satisfactory.As others have mentioned, the rooms are quite small but they were well kept and clean.The […] cost from the airport for a taxi was 46 Euros for 4 people which was competitive with the shuttles,and very convenient if you have very much luggage. The people working at the front desk were very helpful and could book a return shuttle to the airport as well as any number of different attraction tickets. If you are looking for a four star hotel at a two star price this probably not the hotel for you,however,if you are looking for a hotel at a moderate price which is conveniently located,is clean,cozy and has a helpful staff ,this is the ideal place to stay in Paris.We definitely would go back. It's right next to Dugommier metro station, which is very convenient. Don't be fooled into thinking it is right next to Paris Gare de Lyon, however, as we were initially. We were tired after our train ride and found the Hotel Pavillon to be so near the train station and also near the Metro. How great, because getting around Paris by Metro is so much fun! Also, the neighborhood restaurants were good and not "tourist trap food." Hotels in Paris are expensive but this stay was not!!

Our check-in went well and the front deskman was friendly. Unfortunately it was the last time we saw him. The room was very small but clean which is all you can ask for I guess for a cheap room in Paris. Very good location as a metro station is only 20m from the front door. Housekeeping was good. And that was even with one of us asking who speaks fluent Canadian French. Would stay again for price and ease of getting around, but certainly look around for something a little nicer and bigger. We booked this hotel because we wanted something cheap, clean and close to the Metro. That was exactly what we got. The hotel was adequate but certainly not fancy. We knew that when we booked. Our room was small but clean, and it had a balcony - a nice bonus. The mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was cleaned everyday and there wasn't a sign of […] mould anywhere. The shower pressure was great. The people at the front desk were courteous. The two downsides were that 1) the hotel didn't have a computer for us to use, as advertised. It was broken, they said, and it didn't look like anyone was going to fix it anytime soon. If you want internet access, you had to have your own computer and use Wi-Fi or go down the street (less than a block) to an internet cafe. 2) The TV was a pay TV. Not that we wanted to watch TV but it seemed a weird thing to charge for. 3) They also charge a hotel tax, which isn't included in the price. I don't know how many hotels do this. We had to pay the tax at check-out. The upsides were that 1) the neighbourhood is great with shops, a bakery (for pain chocolat), restaurants, internet cafe and a community market (on Fridays) just steps outside the door. 2) The entrance to Dugommier Metro station is less than 100 feet from the entrance. This is the Metro line that goes straight to the Eiffel Tower. 3) It was clean and felt safe. We would stay there again. Lesa meira

There is a fan in the room, no air-conditioning. Staff was very friendly. But the location is so local that finding things to do for a tourist is a bit more challenging. Far to travel to tourist sites so transportation cost is another concern. Might be able to find more convenient locations. But excellent value given the quality of the stay.

Well, we didn't cry, but we were frustrated. We are experienced (and humble) travelers that understand that there is a difference between American and European standards of hotel service. That being said, we don't expect anything more than a clean place to lay our heads. When the covers of the bed were pulled back, they revealed sheets that were unclean […] and a small bug. When new sheets were requested of the hotel desk, the clerk came upstairs to inspect the sheets and argued over whether we should also get a new top sheet and new pillowcases. We tried to explain that if the bottom sheet was not clean, chances were that none of the sheets had been changed. We were left with two new pillowcases and a new bottom sheet to change ourselves. After noticing that the supposedly "clean" sheets were also stained with blood, etc. we decided to leave well-enough alone. Regarding the sweat, this is not the best place to stay in the summer because there was only a tiny air unit - no AC. This is probably typical for Paris, though. It would have been nice to spend more time on our balcony, but it was filthy with both trash and dirt. The location was nice because the metro was literally right out the door, but expect a ride of at least 30 minutes to get to the Eiffel tower. Lesa meira

The hotel was a bit far away from everything but well connected by metro (around 30 minutes to Concorde at Champs Elysees) which you could consider a good thing because you were away from all the tourist madness and prices that come with it. Definitely try the kebab place close to the hotel for a midnight snack:) Hotel room was clean and nice and service […] was also very good except for one guy (the non-white guy to be politically correct) who was super rude. He had a deadly look on his face when we woke him up at 5am to get back to the hotel. We afraid about that already before because he had just ignored all of our questions before.
