The internet was not working during our entire 6 day stay, the breakfast was very expensive. Window was stuck shut in room and no air conditioning so was very stifling ! Staff could tell you some directions around town. Was fairly close to Notre Dame and Seine. Would not stay there again.

At £220 a day does not come with Breakfast! Also not enough housekeeping staff. The room was not done even by 4 PM on Sunday and finally done only on close follow up with the staff at reception. The surroundling area was very good though.

We found the hotel and our room spacious and comfortable, and excellent in value. It was very convenient and in walking distance to many points of interest, as well as shops and the Metro. The staff were attentive and helpful. Thank you.

Everything was just fantastic. Clean and comfortable. Close to the center island and notre dame. 2 min walking distance to metro. Although hotel.com says all taxes and fees included, you still have to pay city tax after your stay. I paid about 11 euros (~$15 USD) when I checked out for staying 3 nights for 2 people.

My third time there and will stay again. The rooms are European small, but so what? Great location, nice and helpful staff and I like the functional bathroom. I would recommend to my friends.

but then if you say NO, I booked here and want to be here, they find you a room ! I asked for a refund, so they found me a room quickly at the hotel, a very small one, but clean. I won't book there anymore. For the same price the Hotel Saint Gregoire is the most wonderfull one, they make you feel at home.

Helpful and friendly receptionist and room cleaning staff. Receptionist was multi lingual and spoke English but was happy to help me as I tried out my broken French. Villa Pantheon is a central location for left bank attractions such as The Cluny Museum, Luxembourg Gardens, The Pantheon, Boulevards St Mitchell and St Germain and a short walk to the […] quays in one direction and Rue Mouffetard in the other. Rooms not large but adequate. Wi fi access was slow at times but overall ok allowing skype and internet access from the room. TheTV channels were limited and peculiarly had BBC World Service, CNN, Chinese, Italian and Spanish but no French channels. Two good cafes one next door to hotel the other (Brasserie Balzar) at end of street-particularly good for breakfast. Note for evening meal Brasserie Balzar is very popular with Parisians and appears good value-but you need to book. We didn't so couldn't get a table! The standard room was a bit small, but that is all I can criticise in what is a very handily-located hotel. We were within easy walking distance of the Pantheon, Notre Dame, Museum of the Middle Ages etc. The staff were very pleasant and spoke plenty of English when my French failed me.

One of the better hotels in the area. Not too expensive and nice room. Have stayed a few times. Can be noisy in the morning. Would recommend to friends and family.

The room was very dark, and on the first floor, we could hear toilets flushing all day and all night...so although the location is fine, would not return.

Room was large by Paris standards and in a good location, but was dreadfully dreary. Almost no light in the room. No light outside our door (ground level entry, so we viewed it as unsafe), peeling wall paper and shower in need of repair. Very clean, despite the dreariness. Staff gave confusing message about the airport service. First two we spoke to […] gave us a firm price of 60 Euro, but third person, with whom we confirmed the night before told us we were just getting a regular cab, with no price guarantee. When we protested, he called "his colleague" who he said confirmed we were told we were just getting a cab, basically calling us liars. This hotel is not a 4 stars according to usual standards. It should be rated 3 stars, The bathroom is very small. This room would have been just correct for 1 person, not for the 2 of us. The location is good for people who want to visit the Notre-Dame area.

The Hotel was in a very good location in the heart of the Latin Quarter, the hotel employees were very nice and friendley, rooms were small but must hotels in Paris are, well worth for the money we paid.

decent cheap option. If you are looking for a clean bed and bathroom in great location, this is it. My expectations were just that and they were fulfilled.

Great place to stay. Only problem I had was that the internet was extremely slow. I complained, but nothing was done. The place was clean and the staff were nice.

Good central position in the 5th. Close to metro. Typical small Parisian rooms but decor really, really outdated. We wanted to relax by the bar after a hard day's wandering around the streets, but there were no staff available to serve us, so ended up in our - small - room with champagne glasses supplied by the staff drinking from the mini-bar!

We knew that hotel rooms in Paris are small, however in a 4 star rated room we expected more. In Expedias website it states that the hotel can arrange for taxi from CDG. They did not, nor is the price EURO 50 correct. Depending on the Taxi and traffic it is 60-70 EUR. The bed cover in our room was so faded so it looked dirty. The furniture are scuffed […] and worn. The first day we had two hand towles and two bath towles, the second day and the rest of our stay they only gave us one hand towle. Size of room for Paris was great although the bed was very hard. Perfect location however hotel had a very old musty smell. Window needed to stay open.

Very helpful front desk staff, excellent location and great value for the money. Close to several Metro stops, as well as to many of the major sites of interest. My second visit to this hotel, and I'd return again next time I am in Paris.

I would go back to Villa Pantheon again. Great location in the Latin Quarter; near excellent cafes and underground stops, and a pleasant walk to Notre Dame and the Seine. Rue des Ecole is relatively quiet and not as 'touristy' as other streets in the neighborhood. Our hotel room was smallish but not unpleasantly so, with a nicely-appointed, relatively […] spacious bathroom. Pluses-overall cleanliness, exellent room air-conditioning, friendly and helpful front-desk staff. Minuses--room door-key difficult to use; one large bed instead of the expected one double and one single bed; lobby and small bar in need of redecorating, same with the dark-green room decor. We did not avail of the hotel breakfast. Overall, we would return to VP next time we go to Paris. This is a good hotel choice for a family or for folks seeking a safe, tranquil Paris vacation. The staff were friendly and spoke passable English. A few minor quibbles: 1. While cleanly, the shower head was calcified and just poured water out instead of spraying. 2. The elevator made an odd groaning noise that could be heard in our room (which was next to the elevator). It did not disturb our sleep. 3. The hotel is in a good location, clean, but dated. There was a mix up in our reservation that I had made 6 months ago. They had to move us to another hotel for the first night, then back to this one for the remainer of the stay. That was rather inconvinent. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

As is Paris, the room was tiny. Nice boutique hotel. A bit soured by the front desk collecting 10 euros for taxes that I thought were paid for in advance through Hotels.com. Very disappointed in that! The location is terrific for all the Paris sights.

Understaffs. The three nights we stayed there I only saw 2 hotel staffs. However, these two staffs were accommodating, they helped us when our luggage was missing. I felt was lonely inside the hotel lobby. It doesn't enliven my well being about the hotel surroundings. No internet access. This was our second time at this hotel. We love it! The location is great, the beds are very comfortable, nice and quiet neighborhood. It is on the left bank and you can walk to the Louve and Notre Dame very easily. In general the hotel was average but for paris standards + location gets 4 stars. Biggest jnock is quality of linens and pillow. Room and bathroom were a good size compared to mostEU and definitely paris hotels. Location was great for visiting sites, metro, RER, dinner, cafes and atmosphere

Villa Pantheon was perfect in every way. The staff is so kind and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I will definitely be staying at Villa Pantheon the next time I am in Paris.

I want to say nice things and forgive them for the experience they put us through but I cannot. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was damage to our room and no other room was available. For one night, we were transferred, with taxis paid to and back, to the Normandy Hotel, north of the Louvre in the 1st arrt. All I can say is that our one night […] stay in the Normandy was the absolute worst hotel experience I am able to recall. Cracked paint and stains on the walls, broken tiles in the bathroom, a double bed and box spring on the floor, broken a/c, warm fridge, and just general filth. I would not stay here again even if it were free. The Villan Pantheon tried to make it up to us with an upgrade from a classic to deluxe room, but I find this situation unforgiveable, as in all my years I have never been re-located from a booked hotel. We enjoyed our remaining three nights at the Pantheon but will forever be haunted by our Normandy Hotel stay. I can only assume they are sister hotels in some way. Very simply, if you need to re-locates guests for any reason, why not simply book them into one of the three or four other hotels on the same block. Quite honestly, a very poor management decision.
