"Close to the sports/concert venue"
The hotel was inviting, well staffed with extremely helpful friendly people. It was my first experience at a Wingate and I will definitely look for the same on future trips.
The bathroom drain in the tub had a horrible sewar smell. The bed were very comfortable with great soft pillows. I wish the desk was located close to the window and not in the middle of the room. The chair at the desk was too big and you had to climb over the bed to get by if someone was sitting at the desk.
"Much more than I expected"
I have not stayed in a Wingate before and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing but the pillows have a bit to be desired. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and was happy to move us when we asked for a different room based on location.

"Wingate by Wyndham-Jacksonville So. (FL)"
We stayed 2 nights, and were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We chose it because of the great price, and we had stayed at a Wyndham several years ago, and was very happy with it. This hotel really lives up to it's name. The bed was SO comfortable! and the cover was soft, not scratchy like most hotel bedspreads. The room was very clean, and it […] had all of the comforts of home. The free WI-FI was simple to connect to. We wished we could have booked a longer stay. We've already told our family & friends about it, and they are going to stay there next time they visit the area. I can't understand why it has a 3 star rating! It's at the TOP of my list. Lesa meira
"Nice Hotel - Poor Service"
Nice, clean room. Terrible service. No one at desk to check me in or out. Had to wait and finally went around corner to find someone in the sales room to check in my info. When I checked out, the attendant was asleep in the lounge, once again had to go find somebody.

"Great Stay-Expected for Price"
Was actually suprised at the great stay I had for the price I paid. The location was great once we figured out where we were and how to get around the side streets of the hotel. We were actually pretty close to great places to eat. Not alot of shopping in the area at all and the area of the hotel is a commercial/industrial area so you have to travel […] out to get to the shopping districts, but I was there for a Doctor's visit at the Mayo Clinic so it wasn't a pleasure trip, but the Hotel was very nice. The had a great breakfast every morning filled with waffles, eggs, potatoes, packages of grits, tea, coffee, etc. Danishs and toast. The pool for those that like to swim was clean and the hotel itself was very clean. The rooms were very nice and very spacious. I was extremely surprised at how nice the rooms were for that price. I just knew i was goint to get some run down room, but we didn't and the staff had a smile on each and every day. I would stay again if i was in the Jax area. Lesa meira

It was very comfortable place to stay in and convieniant to I-95 a time saving location if your planning to go toward Miami.

I can't tell you how many times I got lost in this neighborhood trying to drive there. If you book this hotel call and get directions and hope you don't get the person I got on the phone. The hot tub was the reason we booked this hotel and it was not hot. We decided to go in it anyway and the woman kicked us out and said it was "out of order". We're […] the ones who complained about it? How is it out of order when we just want to sit in lukewarm water. My guess is that it doesn't work and they just pretend it does to book more rooms. "pricey & look for roaches"
We travel for work & work outside, so the hot tub was a welcoming reward each evening. The breakfast was okay, served it's purpose. Our room was on the 2nd floor & the hallway reaked of body odor. Front staff was a bit snippy at times. I reported & gave a live German roach I found in our tub to a morning desk person, but a manager never responded to […] the problem, so I just kept everything off the floor & killed them as i saw them. "peace and quiet"
I wanted an out of the way hotel to rest up before running the Jacksonville Marathon. For that purpose, the hotel was perfect. No large gatherings of people, low occupancy, very very quiet. The hotel was clean. No frills. But served my purpose perfectly.

There was absolutely nothing I would have changed about my stay at Wingate. The hotel is well-situated near I-95 and Route 1, as well as plenty of eateries. You cannot go wrong staying at this facility.

We love this hotel. The staff is always helpful and smiling. The rooms are always clean & I wish I could take the bed home with me!!! It is very comfortable. This is our hotel if choice when we come to Jacksonville. It is close to the Mayo clinic, shopping and restaurants.

Hotel was recently renovated w/curved shower curtain rod, granite counter in bath and flat screen TV. Our 2 night stay was comfortable and up to expectations..

"Excellent choice for Jacksonville stay..."
We used this hotel on our recent visit to Mayo Clinic. They have an on-demand shuttle that takes you door to door. The hotel is excellent. It's very quite and clean. The local NFL football team had a game while we were there. I thought we would have lots of noise. That was not the case.

"Hotel maintenance"
The hotel is in a great location and is well maintained for cleanliness. Beds are very comfortable. Machanical maintenance is a bit lacking, but upon reporting a very loose faucet on the bathroom vanity deck, it was repaired the next day. It should have been caught and reported by the cleaning staff after the last guest. Bath tub drain was not secured, […] and was removable, another maintenance issue. "Easy location for beach and restaurants"
Although it is not on the beach this hotel is an easy ride to the beach via Butler Blvd. and very reasonable. Close to restaurants and St. John's Center. Fresh hot breakfast too.

"Very nice place"
Flat Screen T.V. Nice breakfast, Big Clean rooms and great location. Walk to Cracker Barrel for Dinner or other restaurants very close by. Plus the tech center actually works well which I have found MOST hotels have the worst Internet connections. Usually VERY slow to respond to keystrokes and actions. Would stay again for business or vacation.

I recently stayed four nights at this hotel. It is conveneient to all areas of JAX and was quiet, clean, and provided a good value. Breakfast was a bit skimpy, but allowed a quick start to your destination. I will be staying there again in about three to four weeks. Room was very clean and comfortable, with no ambient noise.
