My experience at the Lorraine was absolutely horrible! The pictures on the website did not compare to the hotel, I believe they were photo shopped. The bathrooms are horrible old rusted and out of date. There was a different staff member at the front desk every night. There was blood and stains on our so called fresh sheets. we put the sign on the door […] for them to service our room and when we arrived back at the hotel we noticed they made our beds with the same old sheets and pillow cases that had our lipstick stains all over them, they just flipped the pillow on the other side. When i asked for them to place us in the best room of the hotel, i was told it was being "painted". i dont believe it exists!!! The location is on 26th street and most of the interactions are down by 6-14th street so it's a healthy walk away. At the end of the day DO NOT STAY here you will not be pleased. Friendly receptionists. Free breakfast. Free coffee and jiuces all day. Convenience store in the corner. Bicycle station in front of hotel. Beach one block away.

I chose the hotel because of all ad’s and positive comments, such us: airport transfer, free Wi-Fi, breakfast included etc. If you speak Spanish, and if you like lots of noises from staff, guests (mostly kid’s) and don’t care about the rating-star’s, then you’re at the right place

The size of the room and the bathroom was OK. There was not even 1 chair in the room. Safe on the floor is very disturbing for an older adult. We could not fill the sink, so it was impossible to make light wash of shirt or socks. Breakfast was served to late - starting 7:30 is far to late, and most of the times it wasn't ready even at that time. Cleanliness […] - We found it OK, but we heard some others complaining. A 5 night stay that I would pay to do again. Real close to the beach, bike rentals are near by, and the weather was great!

Breakfast was horrible, a shack of breads and flakes Okay in terms of location, 2 blocks away from the beach but kind of far to walk to the south beach(10 blocks) The hotel overall lacks any ambience if compared to the room tariff They claim to give free internet everywhere, but the connection was intermittent even in the sole desktop lying in the lobby […] for public use. Over all suitable if used for sleeping only. Bed sheets had stains as did the towels. You can hear people in the next room load and clear not to mention the upstairs and hallway as well. Best part of the stay is that the beach is at your door step and you are not far from shops and eats and night life.

Staff not very friendly or helpful. Rooms nice only had one lift which meant often a long wait. Free breakfast a bonus. Location good a few minutes walk from beach. Free beach towels.

It was just for one day but it all I need to say that I won't stay in that hotel no more. First impression is the best impression. Is not what expected for what they charge me, I would not stay there again I would rather stay in a Motel 6 for the next time.

I guess what you pay for here is position, and it is virtually on South Beach. But the hotel needs quite a bit of refurbishment. Cooking facitlites were in situ, but no pots and pans to cook with! Some very basic models were provided when requested. Towels were provided to take down to the beach.

AC wasn't affective and a budget hotel. In case traveling during summer season, would advice not to stay in this hotel. only positive aspect is the included continental breakfast. no hotel parking, have to use the nearest public parking @ 27th street, public parking rate is dollar an hour and from 8am-6pm after that its free.

At first I was disappointed when I saw the exterior of the hotel. But when I saw the entrance its far better than the outlook. The room was also good, clean and bathroom was clean also. We had a fridge, TV (i think it didnt work, since I was not interested to watch, I didnt care), and I microwave oven. The main problem is this hotel has no parking, […] you have to park in a public parking and walk back to the hotel. The price is good. And the breakfast is good. And it is very close to the beach. We love these. In addition, we can cook there. But the room looks not so clean.

Paid for a room upgrade with balcony and king bed - they had none available so I was offered one of only two "remodeled" rooms. Nice new contemporary furnishings but far from remodeled. No balcony but I could see a glimpse of the ocean from the window. Parking was limited in the public (pay to park) lot a block away with no courtesy drop off / front […] entrance parking at time of check in. Limited services and basic overall. Lesa meira

I'll start in order! Podehali we to the hotel late in the evening and the Parking was a problem - the administrator said that nearby there is Parking, when I arrived at the Parking lot where there was no free seats. After driving through the area of the hotel is about 30 minutes (for Parking) I went back to the hotel and "a MIRACLE!!!" there is available […] space. Parking near the hotel Parking from 6 pm to 8 am for free, from 8 am to 6 pm $ 1/hour. Went in the room - in the room smell stale air conditioning total (without temperature regulation). We lived three (family) but sets of towels left two, and after, and in General only one beach towel (one of the two ... not to mention three of the prescribed). Free Breakfast is not very good: yogurt, cereal with milk, rolls, cheese, butter, jam, tea, coffee, juice, fruit. One thing that pleased us - close to the beach. "Kitchen" (if it is possible to say) was ... it was a nook in the living room with a sink, an electric plate. The dishes again it was only for two persons. Would not recommend this hotel if you want to comfortably settle down (even if you need a hotel just for sleeping). Believe me!!!! Lesa meira

The hotel had some simple problems such as the faucet for hot water in the bathroom did not work and if you shave you know how inconvenient that can be. I reported it on day one but nothing was done.

Older hotel the place was a clean as it could be I slept wrapped in my beach towel instead of under the sheets......

This a decent hotel with a good location. It would only be worth staying here if your in Miami to party it up. It's a hotel to sleep and shower up. The rooms were nice cool temperature which was great.

The Lorraine hotel was the nastiest hotel I ever seen. The hotel does not even look like a hotel. My friends, and I booked the hotel for 1 night because we were coming off of a cruise, and the stay was horrible. The water in the room was not hot, the hotel didn't even have a ramp for us to wheel our luggage, do we had to carry our luggage up the steps. […] There was no one there to help us. The women at the front desk was really nice and helpful. But the room was horrible. The location was ok. It was at the end of south beach going into north beach. So the location was not bad. The curtains in the hotel had holes in them. And the room had a funny odor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price of the hotel, you can get a nicer hotel. Lesa meira

We chose this hotel because it was affordable for the location, being north of South Beach and right on Miami Beach. We walked everywhere from the hotel and used the Airport Flyer ($2.35 each way) to get there to and from the hotel. We also used the .25 SoBeach bus that runs from Washington Ave south and loops up Alton Rd. Location and affordability […] was our number 1 priority and we got it! The rooms are clean with updated furniture and decor. The hotel itself is old, and the doors are thin. Some people were complaining about hearing the tv or guests in other rooms, but we didn't have that issue. Free internet in the lobby. Staff were friendly. Breakfast composed of coffee, juice, yogurt, breads, croissants, cereals, bagels and chocolate bread. No free parking though, our friends found it hard to find parking in the area without feeding a meter every few hours. Lesa meira

This place does not have a thermostat in any rooms- They just have one for the entire building!!!! Talk about being uncomfortable! The Staff was very nice I must say, and the place was clean.

The hotel is good. Location is very good, just less than one minute can walk to the seaside. The hotel doesn't provide free parking. And the Wifi is very slow. Finanlly, I think this hotel is good.

This hotel is all about location. There are no amenities. The internet only works in the lobby--not in the room--and barely at all in the lobby. The lock box did not work--the cleaning person had to come to unlock it. Pubic hairs everywhere. No view. One tiny, and I mean TINY elevator that had a time based deodorizer. Breakfast was less than convenience […] store variety. And the food was reused daily. No restaurant. No pool. No amenities. Nothing for kids to do. The dishes looked like they were from the thrift store. No coffee-maker in room. Many corners cut everywhere. The coffee and juice in the lobby was less than appetizing. No gift shop. No bar. Nada. Nice little hotel near Lincoln Road area and beach right away. Rooms don't have rugs they have tile instead, that's cleaner!

this hotel is very convenient, central to every thing, shopping, transport, bus stop, the beach, the staff is reasonably pleasant, the dinning area can be expanded, breakfast can be better, eggs or and cheese should be added, with some fruits. cleanliness and trust is good at this hotel. A fridge is also provided. But i think a microwave should be included […] in every hotel room, (come on this is a very cheap item nowadays). please provide this to your customers. however i don't have a problem staying here again or encouraging others. The Hotel experience was overall good. Staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean but the door of the bathroom was not closing properly and so we had to slam it to close it ...:-( The bathroom was clean but definitely need an upgrade- The mattress had a plastic protection under the sheet so it was also noisy when you were in bed and moving or tossing […] ;-) This is little minor things but sometimes they do make a difference :-) The most important the hotel was clean and we really appreciated the fact that they did not charge us for the 3rd person in the room !! For the price we were paying, for this location, I was impressed with the location of the hotel and the quality of service. The lobby was great and very clean. Nora was a the front desk and she was wonderful and full of recommendations. She knew the bus schedule and recommended places to visit. The elevator was small but very functional. You could tell […] the hotel was an older hotel but it was very clean. The room was appropriate and we were thrilled with the little stove, sink, and fridge that was in our room. The floor in our room was tile and the hallways were wood - this worked great for all the sand. It would have been good if the room had a little brush and dust pan to sweep up the sand we brought in as there wasn't a place outside to wash our feet when we came off the beach. We were glad to be on the southern end of Miami Beach and close to South Beach. Miami Beach was accessible right behind the hotel as was the boardwalk.
