There was no smoking smell at all in the room and it was cleaned everyday with new towels! Satisfied but do not recomend to people with children since it is next to a busy club and restaurant street. Close to Myengdong (underground walk of about 5 mins). Close to subway station (about 3 minutes walk to station - also connected via the hotel underground). Very clean, the room was a bit cramp (we had the cheapest of the 5 room types they offer I think). If you need more space, 1 room size up is recommended. We mistakenly book a room for one instead of two occupants. After several emails, the hotel was kind enough to offer refund if we would like to cancel, but nothing else. That made us feel that they did not need a business with us. At checkin we thought they might surprise us with a more comfortable room but no luck there. Service from check in to check out was excellent. Staff at buffet breakfast coffee house was most helpful ,even gave us a map and talked us through with detailed instructions on how to get to attraction. The staff of the Plaza made this visit extremely pleasant for a first time visitor to Seoul, Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. "The Seoul Plaza: Design Excellence"
I've stayed at this hotel several times and also at the Westin Choson. The corridors in the Plaza are darker but I like the Plaza better. The design of the room makes it just about the prettiest I've ever stayed in and the facilities were uniformly excellent. I have one minor complaint. "Good Choice"
The Plaza is a very nice hotel in an excellent location and a very helpful staff. The rooms are very modern, but small. Breakfast and some other services are very expensive (40$ for breakfast). "Everything but personal service was perfect"

Clean modern rooms, excellent service by hotel staff, comfortable beds all make my stay in Seoul ver enjoyable. "Top notch hotel"
Great hotel. Perfect location for checking out Seoul. We upgraded to the Club level(18th floor) which has its own lounge staffed from 6:30AM-10:00PM. The staff there were extremely helpful and courteous. I actually can't say enough about the staff. The room was especially clean.
