"Clean, convenient, and good breakfast"
We stayed here very briefly on our way up the coast, but it was worth it. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the continental breakfast was quite a spread--complete with waffles! Would definitely stay again on a coastal trip.
The place was comfortable and clean. The main downside is it is a bit dated.

"Great overnight hotel that's pet friendly"
We were given a beautiful room even upon arrival for overnight with pets. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. - great shower. Double queen had lots of room for three of us and two dogs. Some roadside and neighboring room noise heard but overall we had a quiet night. Don't be late for breakfast - by 9:30 on a Sunday it's mostly gone.

"Close to the racetrack"
Went to see the races and the hotel was 5min from the track Great rooms, clean and comfortable at a good price. Not to far from Pismo..

We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The check-in staff person was personable and helpful. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel. Good sized room, too.
"WOW! Supersized bathroom!"
We stayed in this hotel on the way to Santa Barbara. At first it looked like a standard motel but inside - what a treat. Upgraded room and HUGE upgraded bathroom which I didn't see in many 4 and 5 stars hotels. Good breakfast too. This was a star (hotel) surprise of our trip.
Good service, no problems. Very clean and pet friendly. Bed a little hard. Would not go into surrounding neighborhoods in the dark, however. Recommend for adults with pets. Would not take children to this area.

"Very nice room; but ..."
Great room with excellent bathroom facilities; but the beds ... very high and so very hard. I woke up with a pain in the shoulder; wife with back pains. Some people like beds beyond firm; we don't.

"HUGE room, friendly staff"
We were staying one night on our way through town on AIDS LifeCycle and were delighted to see signage posted on the hotel's billboard and in the reception area welcoming riders. They were the only hotel along the route to do this and it went a long way in making us feel welcomed. The reception staff was friendly enough and we got to our room just fine, […] even checking in a bit early since my husband finished his ride before 3. The room itself was enormous, with a bathroom complete with dressing table, closet, separate loo and double sinks. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We didn't use the pool, but it looked a bit small and gated off near the parking lot. Nothing to write home about. We had dinner at The Swiss, which was fantastic, particularly given our expectations. Think steaks and comfort food favorites (we had a jalapeno mac and cheese that was out of this world) in enormous portions. We didn't even get close to finishing our meals. All in all, this is a good place to stay if traveling through Santa Maria. Lesa meira
"Not bad at all"
This is one of the nicer Best Westerns I've stayed in. Clean rooms, felt recently remodeled. Nice large bathrooms. Very courteous staff but not overly chatty. Was able to get in and out with no issues. Would stay there again! NO PET DEPOSIT! Take your small doggies w/ you!

"May 2011 stay"
Hotel was a great place to stay and be close to downtown, with lots of restaurants close by, and easy access. Hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast bar was great. Specialty coffees were also available. Rooms were very comfortable and cheerfully decorated. This was a great get-away for business. "Excellence with a few small caveats"
The rooms are VERY nice-especially the generous sized bath. The staff was unbelievable--willing to take time to try to fix the expresso machine in the breakfast area, direct us to a great dinner, etc. Negatives: Not a very good area, and nowhere nearby to get a good cup of coffee.

"Pleasantly surpised."
I generally do not like staying at Best Western hotels, but this stay was a good one. I booked a room that had a king bed and queen sofa sleeper. When I checked into the room, it only had a king bed. I called the front desk and they immediately offered to move us or to provide a roll-away. Staff was very accommodating. "Recommend the hotel"
We have stayed at this hotel before, and they are always very friendly. The rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning of waffles, bagels, and cereal is a good way to start the day.

"Best Western in Santa Maria, CA - pet friendly"
Upon arriving a little early to the hotel, the reception staff immediately called room service and got them to finish up our room, so that we may check in and not have to wait in the lobby or our car. In addiiton, we were provided the necessary information about the facilities for people as well as our dog. Staff were friendly and courteous and willing […] to do whatever was necessary to make our stay pleasant. The room was open and roomy, despite having 2 adults and 1 large dog in the room. I especially liked the bathroom setup. The bathroom area had the toilet separate from the shower/tub and sink area. There was even a separate vanity area, which was very convenient, while we were getting ready. The breakfast continental breakfast provided a amble selection of fresh pastries/bagels, etc. I would recommend anyone traveling with or without a dog to stay there. Lesa meira

"Nice Hotel"
Check in and out was very simple and efficient. Was not charged for phone calls from my room. Hotel was well maintained and clean. Purpose of my trip was a conference at the hotel and refreshments were provided for meeting. Breakfast provided was good.

Excellent Hotel for a night or two stop over, big clean rooms, average breakfast but not bad as included in the price.
"Best Best Western"
We do not usually stay at Best Western hotels. This one, however, was the best Best Western we have ever experienced. The room was large, comfortable very clean and appeared newly furnished. The continental breakfast was nice for families traveling on a budget.

Bed was comfortable. Nice little refrigerator and microwave in room. Breakfast was great, better than just a little continental breakfast. Check in was nice with a cookie snack. Quentin told us about a dinner place close by and warned that I should get the small portions if it was on the menu. Boy, was he right! We had a great lunch the next day. "Great Place to stay for the Price!"
We stayed here for a weekend visit with family. When I first drove up I was not sure about the hotel. But once inside my room everything changed. The rooms look as if they have been recently renovated. Very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good. Not your everyday Pasteries and coffee. The staff was pretty friendly. "Great for the Money"
The best thing that I have to say is the rooms were bigger than normal. The bathroom is roomie. I loved the inside of the hotel the outside is not much to look at though. Also they have a free breakfast in the morning with actual food. no bacon and eggs but food. Possibly the best Hotel in Santa Maria. Conference rooms and a restaurant on site. Very reasonable price for what you get. including breakfast.
