BEST WESTERN CHICKASHA – Chickasha

Straight out of the '70s. Loved my room opening to the large indoor pool area. Wish the AC had worked though. And remember, you can still smoke indoors in Oklahoma. Plan accordingly. I'd stay there again.

We had three rooms for 2 nights. The AC didn't work in one, and although they tried many times to fix it, the equipment was old and it wasn't going to work. They gave us another room after we asked. Many of the rooms open to the enclosed pool area and while this is convenient it's loud. It's old and in need of a renovation, which we were told is in […] the works. Breakfast was fine, but tended to not be very hot because they use those covers that stay open. Front desk employees were very nice. Tthere's a McDonald's and Pizza Hut within 50 yards and Walmart is next door. Lesa meira

When arrving to the hotel and going in our room the bathroom sink was dirty there was also hair in the bathtub. The sink barely had any water pressure. We turned on the a/c and left for three hours to come back and find the room still hot, I picked up the phone to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. I walked downstairs and reported the a/c […] problem. A service man showed up shortly after and checked the filter and made sure I had the thermostat set correctly, he came back with a new filter and a fan and said he would be back that he had to check out the a/c unit after 1 1/2 hours we gave up and he never came back and upon checking out the front desk made no apologies. The lobby area when walking in to the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke, the hotel did not look like the pictures on the website. We were very unsatisified with this hotel. Lesa meira

The hotel is very nice very clean breakfast was better then most but not wonderful. It was a very nice clean place and had a great pool and hottub.

We stayed at this room for a baseball tournament nearby. Total we had 12 rooms rented. The room I stayed in was unbearably hot. We went to the store and bought 2 fans just to make it tolerable. The first night in the room we could not get it below 85*. When we reported it to the hotel front desk 3 times the maintenance man told us it was just an old […] hotel and an old a/c unit and there is nothing he could do about it. The fridge went out in the room. There was fast food trash and food under the edge of the bed. All in all I would have rather stayed elsewhere and drove further for a more comfortable room. We stayed at this hotel while visiting family. It was the only hotel in the area that had a vacancy. I booked a smoking room, as that is all that was available. When we went into the room, it absolutely reeked of cigarettes. The curtains and bedding had cigarette burns all throughout. The walls were dirty and stained. The counter in the bathroom was […] dirty, and there was a dead bug on it. The nightstand was dirty with something sticky on it, like someone had left a drink there that had spilled. The arm chair sitting in the corner was damp (possibly from the AC unit). I am sure the AC had not been cleaned in quite sometime, as the smell coming from it was ridiculous. The bathroom door stuck, and I got locked inside. Luckily, my husband was able to get me out. There was a hole in the bathroom door that looked like someone had punched it with their fist. I asked for a different room, but there were none available. It was very late when we got there with two small kids, so we had no other option but to tough it out. Though one of the front desk clerks wasn't too bright, the main management was helpful and efficient. This Best Western has many special touches: nice amenities in its pool area, a friendly (though smoky) "lounge" and great bartender, better equipped rooms with complimentary water. The breakfast is pretty bad if you want any fiber at all (no fruit or […] even Raisin Bran or hard boiled eggs--standard in most places). Nonetheless, we (a multi-generational adult family group) liked the town and the Chickasha Best Western and were glad we stayed there. And we had a good meal at Napoli's, right down 4th street (at that point, we needed vegetables more than bar b que, the local specialty). Lesa meira

My 3 sons and I stayed at this BW for three nights at the end of Feb, 2011. Our stay was most pleasant, no complaints. The boys enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub and game room. A laundry room was available and we made use of it to dry their swim trunks between dips in the pool. Towels were provided poolside so our bath towels from the room didn't have […] to be used for that purpose. The hotel is located at a major intersection in Chickasha, with a Super Walmart, Walgreen's and McDonald's within walking distance. The complimentary free breakfast each morning was a real treat....bacon, sausage, waffles, scrambled eggs, gravy, cereal w/milk, fruit, pastries, grits and a variety of juices.
