Frábært hótel í alla staði. Mjög kurteist og hjálpsamt starfsfólk, mjög hreint og snyrtilegt. Skipt um handklæði á hverjum degi.

Going to Bangkok as two semi-budget travelers, we didn't consider this as cheap, but as many hostels were of the same price range, we decided to take the hotel, mostly for the chance of a good bed, more security and proximity to Khao San Road. Apart from the WiFi being a bit shaky (but to same level as many other hotels in South East Asia) and dirty slippers in the bathroom, everything was pretty much sufficient to our standards. The bed was comfortable enough, the hotel staff was friendly and more than ready to help with anything, a convenience store was in the same street and also an Internet Cafe. No problem finding it coming from Khao San Road, going up the street from KSR (western end), the hotel being placed on the opposite bank of the next canal - merely a five minute walk. Only downside was, being a backpacker, we missed staying with all the other backpackers on Khao San Road, but returned anyway for a second stay a week later, equally as enjoyable.

"Grand President Bangkok"
First night I was in a standard room and it was too small and very uncomfortable. I upgraded to a deluxe the second night until my stay was over and it was acceptable. I really liked that the hotel provided free internet use in the lobby with 4 computers and they also had a self service laundry which was very convenient.

"First and Last time in this hotel"
I've booked 3 deluxe rooms online. Went to the hotel for check-in at 2pm. Waited for 30 mins (and a bit grumpy already why do it take that long), but only 2 rooms are available, and I was asked to wait for another 1 (i.e wait till 3.30pm) as one room is still not available. I was frustrated and requested to see the manager, as it's the hotel's problem […] not having rooms ready on time for guests to check-in.They should have a record on how many guests are expected that day, so there shouldn't be any reasons why the room is not ready past your check-in time. But another lady receptionist being more professional, upgraded the 1 room for us so that we don't have to wait for another hour. I came for vacation, and the hotel shouldn't be taking so long to ask their guests to wait (wasting our time). Not a good start for my vacation. I've requested all 3 rooms to be on the same floor, if not side by side. But all 3 rooms are on 3 different levels. Fine, I can live with that. I booked deluxe rooms, which are stated to be on Tower 1 (as stated online, as well as the hotel official website), but I was given Tower 3, which is across the street. I purposely paid extra money in order to stay in Tower 1, but I was told that deluxe rooms are also available at Tower 3, despite I told the receptionist that when I booked the room online, it states it's in Tower 1). If I would have known earlier (due to the incorrect information online, as well as on the hotel's official website), i would not pay extra, but get a standard room. Their so-called deulxe rooms look exactly like the standard room, as displayed on their hotel's official website. I felt so cheated. Even with the free wi-fi, signal was so poor in the room, meaning virtually no internet access. It was also very noisy in the room due to the pub next to the hotel downstairs. I came across this hotel through the positive reviews along side with the supposed great location. I had opted to stay for 2 nights and booked 2 rooms via online. Upon arrival, the feeling of jet lagged started to sink in and was hoping to have a quick rest in my room. However, my much needed rest was disrupted by the delayed check in. I had never […] experienced such a long delay in any hotels i have stayed. All i heard was, "just a moment sir". My request for king size bed was not available but the staff was kind enough to combine the 2 single beds together. I was put in tower 3 which was odd since it was across the road. But, I was glad that the staff members were absolute gem, they were very friendly and helpful. I was not expecting much from the room, I was satisfied with the condition except the walls or doors are not really sound proof; the constant door openings from other guests can be quite irritating at times. The check out process was taking as long as the check in process. I did not have much concern with this since I was having such amazing time in Bangkok and it was time for me to go. However, there is one issue I would like to address, I was told that the hotel "metered" taxis are available and fully reliable. I requested for the hotel to arrange a hotel taxi to the airport. Yes, he indeed was using meter. As far I remembered, upon arrival at the airport, the meter showed 215 baht + 45 baht (toll) and 25 baht for something else, but he mentioned to me pay him 500 baht now !! I was confused at that time but thankfully I had a thai friend next to me and me ended up paying 300 baht instead of 500 baht. Maybe the hotel should take a closer look on these supposedly very reliable hotel taxis. All in all, I had a great time in Bangkok and looking forward to my next visit. Exellent hotel with very freindly and a helpfull staff vibrant reception I must point out that i had left a very valuable pice of jewellry on the table and it was there tow days later thnks!! President Group as a whole dersrves the credit
"Grand President Hotel in Bangkok - Average Hotel"
The Grand President Hotel in Bangkok is a nice clean Hotel near most shopping and local attractions. However the 4 star rating is a bit extreme. They are a 3 star at best. Very difficult to locate for many taxi drivers and small entrance at front of hotel. Front desk service not very helpful in accomodating mistakes made on the hotel's part. Manager […] had to step in to resolve issue with room type not available and upgrade to next level to ensure customer satisfaction. Pool area not very clean and no towels available for customers poolside. Hotel restaurant food is only average with very expensive prices. Definately recommend to dine out at one of the local cafe's or nearby restaurants for better quality food and reasonable prices. Would not recommend this hotel to family or close friends. I'm sure they would be in for a big disappointment paying for a 4 star hotel and expecting the quality of service, food and accomodations that is the norm for a 4 star. Lesa meira

Arrogantes Rezeption personal. Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt keine Zeit, aber für Bar Kontrolle hatten Sie Zeit.
Ett helt ok hotell. Liten frukost. Vissa rum är väldigt kalla, även om man stänger av AC. De bättre rummen är de dyraste. De billigare är av äldre standard. Läget e kanon, inte för långt till något och sukhumvit roads lilla marknad har det mesta i mindre skala. Men, skulle själv valt att bo på The Ambassador hotell som ligger intill!

The hotel gives Value for Money, mostly as it has a good rate. Nice top floor outside pool area. Rooms has somewhat old standard
