Friendly, helpful staff that was gracious and great, but the condition and out of date accommodations of the hotel were enough that I would not go back.

I thought my stay was fine including the breakfast I had at the hotel.I thought the parking was high(15.00 overnight) and I purchased some sodas from the desk that was a little over priced(2 16 oz bottles for about 5.50).Everything seemed to be in walking distance and the staff were nice also.

Nice and spacious. Has a sofa in the room. Very roomy. Had a refrigerator and microwave that looked fairly new and lightly used. They had great customer service. Great Stay. And let me not forget to mention how clean everything was. I would stay there again.

So when we checked in we did not immediately go to our room. We went to a show. When we came back the keys did not work I was accused of having them too close to my phone. Well the keys did not work because it was an OCCUPIED room. Thank GOD we did not get shot or anything. Not bad. I could walk to city center and they provide a free shuttle into downtown and they picked you up at night. There was also a free trolley that went close by. A little quite at night but I would consider staying there again now that I am a little more familiar with town.

It was a nice hotel. Clean lobby, friendly staff.... but our room was not very clean (there was hair in the sink and on the pillows).

Expensive and did not include parking, which was a surprise. Also, they knew 4 people would be in the room, but provided only 3 sets of towels. There was only 1 bar of soap. No shampoo.the staff was friendly, but not overly concerned with making it a wonderful experience.

Front desk was friendly and first visit to downtown Charlotte--the hotel seemed pretty central to downtown attractions. We were there just one night. Room was okay but a little small for price. Could have used a refrigerator. Had nice Crowne Plaza perks such as bedding. Didn't try food since we had to leave early next morning.

Thank you to Shirley T for straightening out the room arrangement upon our arrival. The hotel is what you would expect from a Crown Plaza. The Exec King Suite was perfect w/the fridge and microwave and sofa sleeper for our needs.

We had a great stay. With the exception of one or two ambulances, the stay was suprisingly quiet for downtown Charlotte. Head's up-there is an additional $15 parking charge but our car was safe throughout the night and the next day. Parking garage was directly connected to hotel which made us feel safer! The staff at this hotel are very rude. A security guard came to our room twice warning us that we were being too loud, yet there were only 5 people in our room and all we were doing was talking. The second time the security guard came he said, "if i have to come up here again then you will not like the end result and you will be kicked out of the hotel." […] We found this very rude, and for those reading this review, the people in our room were all adults that had been to an educational conference in Charlotte. My adult daughter and I arrived at 5:00 am on 12/17/12 after a 12 hour drive with a uhaul towing a car. We were exhausted and the night clerk was wonderful! I couldn't clear the parking garage so he generously helped us move it and get to where it needed to be. I didn't have cash to tip him or his name so please let me know how to get it to him. Older hotel; the room was a little dated and there were spider webs in the corners and I thought the room was a bit expensive and parking cost $15 for one night. The staff was awesome!

Overall, we were satisfied with the hotel. The shuttle service was a great feature that allowed us to save some money on cab fare. The walk to Epicenter is reasonable (about 10 minutes). The only complain was that the walls were quite thin, and we could hear the guests next door. Otherwise, everything was very good.

Overall I ma very happy with my saty. Felt the rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful in making my stay comfortable. Was provided information about downtown activities and they also offered a shuttle service to the Panther Stadium. The staff were knowledgable and very courteous and pleasant. The rooms were clean and the hotel and grounds were well maintained. The walls were quite thin but at night the hotel was quiet. Excellent location for sporting events and closeness to restaurants and entertainment.

Denied early checkin....Denied check in because of mistake regarding credit card charges; finally allowed checkin after hassel at front desk...Food from previous guest in room...Check out person was much better & said there should have been no hassel at all...

Even though the hotel was a bit older and perhaps out of date asthetically, I recieved great service and was comfortable my entire stay. The employees were friendly and helpful. Through Expedia, I booked a room on the top floor because I wanted the refrigerator and microwave. On this floor, the coffee makers were Keurig brand, which are nice, but I believe that the standard rooms have lesser quality machines. I chose this hotel because of location - very close to the aquatic center. However, it is many blocks from all the […] restaurants and museums. Walkable, yes, but not much action nearby. We were extremely pleased with our accomocations. There are a few things I would say could have made our stay a little better. The lobby looked so stark and empty. It needs more furniture, plants, large screen TV, etc to make it more welcoming and comfortable. I did not care for the Keurig coffee maker in the room. Each time it gave me a less than hot […] cup of weak coffee. I would have liked to see a coffee maker in the lobby also. The service at the front desk from Mario was exceptional though!!! I chose this Hotel due to a special rate that was offered. It was not worth anymore than that. This hotel needed some updating. It was clean, but due to how old everything was, much of it was it had the appearance of being dirty. The furniture was falling apart. Minor detail, but there was conditioner but no shampoo. The internet service was very fast. […] Overall, it was not a bad stay. If I had paid the standard rate, on site parking cost and the cost of the meals I would have been upset. On the downside -- The Crowne Plaza is located several blocks from the uptown activity, so if you're not fond of walking, you might want to be closer. The pool is located right off the street, far from the sight of staff or anyone helpful if there's a problem, and nobody used it while we were there. The walls are, indeed, quite thin. There's a deli […] and great little restaurant with good pizza (and breakfast) across the street, but they're both closed on the weekend, so if you don't want your early Saturday morning Joe from the hotel, you're in for a stroll to Starbucks several blocks away uptown. There were stains on things -- the radio (!), some of the sheets -- but otherwise the place was pretty clean and clearly comfortable. On the positive side -- the onsite restaurant was very good, very friendly, very relaxed, even when we stopped by late in the evening near closing time. The staff was helpful and, again, friendly; housekeeping was eager to provide us with extras if we needed them. The overall environment was attractive, relaxed, comfortable.
