Not the best location of all unless you want to be next to the airport. Good hotel in general though a little old infrastructure.

For a Holiday Inn, this was not a great example. We had to haul baggage up flights of stairs since there was no lift. The room was dirty with hair in the shower and a bad smell in the room. The beds were uncomfortable. I rarely leave poor reviews, but I would not consider this hotel in the future.

It was okay, the only issue is NO free wifi and also poor connectivity of cell phones from the room. Rest all are good.

The Hotel is about 3 miles from Manchester Airport with an hourly shuttle £5.00 / person. The room was clean and tidy but very small (about 10foot square) with a 7foot square bathroom. There is a small TV with limited service. I asked for a local map but none was available not even one located on a wall. The Restaurant and Bar were pleasant and reasonable […] in price. A very last minute short stay. Booked just 1 hour before arrival. Excellent check in, clean and comfortable room. Would stay again for more than one night if necessary!

All the staff at this hotel are very helpfull and polite. Nothing it seems is too much trouble for them. Some of the rooms a a tad on the small side, but hey your only sleeping there. The the gym is so well equiped on its different floors, I've stayed in 5 stars that cant match it. The pool, sauna and steam rooms are brilliant. Definatly reccomend this […] hotel. Lesa meira

The staff were certainly friendly and professional. I onlu had one meal, but it was well prepared. Room was very clean, but really small. Trouser press was inside the small wardrobe, so difficult to use. Sound insulation was not good. Overall, good - but let down by the small room and noise insulation. After a long flight it was really nice to settle into the Holiday Inn Manchester Airport. My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before official check in times, however they were able to check us in right away into our room. There was no shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. This was not mentioned on the reservation. The toll free number of the hotel was not attainable because we had a foreign phone. Needs complete renovation - some of the starways and hallways smell of mould or damp. My room was tiny. Check-in took forever and the queue stretched outside the door. Staff in the fitness centre had a bad attitude. Overall - like travelling back in time 20 years

This hotel is not forthcoming in disclosing that they have discontinued shuttle service from the airport. Instead they call a taxi and charge the guest. More importantly they were disorganized about the pick up arrangements and I ended up waiting over two hours for a 2 mile ride to the hotel. Think twice about staying at this place. The staff were not at all helpful or knowledgeable, even when my wife became very unwell during our stay. Our room was small and somewhat dilapidated but clean and functional.

From booking to bedroom, the experience through Expedia and Holiday Inn was as it should be. Everything was in place from catching the plane to arriving at the Holiday Inn. The Inn itself is in a rural location near the Airport with good facilities, friendly and helpful staff. I would certainly return there if I needed to be in the area again.

When our flight was cancelled we had no hesitation in checking in to this hotel for a second unplanned night. We particularly enjoyed the leisure facilities (pool and gym ) and the bar eating facilities.
