If this is a palace the front desk certainly does not treat you like a king. They are rude and arrogant and not the least bit helpful. The month was October and it was a really warm day and there was no way to get them to turn on the AC as it had been shut off to the entire hotel in September. This is not an inexpensive hotel but the accommodations are cut rate.

Our 3 night stay at the Palace was an incredible value by Roman standards. as clean as a whistle and as quiet as a church the experience was very pleasant indeed. Robert H. Santa Monica, CA

My husband and I stood here for 2 days. We found the lobby, outside eating area and breakfast room to be modern and trendy. The room itself was fine. Unfortunately, we forgot to request a non-smoking room so we had to deal with the smell of cigarettes. We also had a problem with the AC which was leaking water from the ceiling right in the entrance to our room. We called to report the problem and they came up quickly to fix it. We noticed the next day that they were fixing a few rooms next to us who seemed to be having the same problem. Also wished that they had an iron in the room but they did have a hair dryer, Q-tips, slippers, nail file, shower cap, safe, and bidet. Although we faced these small problems, I must say that the staff was really helpful and sweet. They were quick to help with the bags and assisted us with all of our questions about tours, affordable transportation, internet and just about any question you could think of. They never seemed bothered and went above and beyond to help us. They provide free breakfast (buffet) every morning which includes eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, fruits, yogurt, well just about anything you could think of. It was walking distance to the Vatican, Spanish Steps and many other attractions. The surrounding area was a bit dead but it is walking distance to places with more action. We did find some really nice local restaurant spots by the hotel with great prices and friendly service. Seems like we were one of the few tourist there so we were able to get a real Italian experience. I would stay again and definitely recommend it to those who want to be walking distance to everything and don't want to pay too much for their stay.

This was the second to last stop for my boyfriend and I on a three week trip throughout Europe (so we had some basis for comparison by this point). After some minor reservation hassle we got to our room, which was okay but definitely not up to the almost 5 star quality described on hotels.com. The carpet was threadbare, the TV was old, the toilet and other fixtures in the bathroom looked old, but it was bearable. However, the real shock came when I took a shower the next morning. Above the shower there was some sort of hole (looked like a light maybe used to be there?) with plastic sticking out and what looked like mold. It was DISGUSTING, to the point I didn't want to stand under it while showering for fear of what would fall on me. I called the front desk (twice) who finally sent up a "technician." The technician proceeded to tell me that the hole thing was "normal," and the stuff clinging to the plastic and inside the hole was not mold but rather "dust and hair." I told him that I've stayed at dozens of hotels and that most certainly was not normal, and asked whether it could be covered. He said yes, left, and never came back. Additionally, the internet was painfully slow and priced higher than every other hotel we had stayed at. On the positive side, the location of the hotel is great, the neighborhood was safe and the free breakfast in the morning was nice.

This hotel was lovely! The staff were professional and nice. Very helpful. Clean, comfortable, I would stay there again. The only thing that was missing was a swimming pool! I booked a triple, and had a friend who was in the area stop by the hotel to visit, they were very strict about not allowing a 4th person up into the rooms. Overall, great stay! I would def return.

Full breakfast served, hot cooked plates, cold cuts, cereals, breads, fruits, yogurts, juices - didn't need to have lunch during our whole stay! Really close to the Cast St. Angelo and Vatican, walking distance to most other attractions.

We very happy with all aspects of this hotel. The rooms were very modern, well maintained and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and offerred more than the typical Italian "sweets", inluding hot foods, cerals, yogurts, fruit. There is a very nice room top terrance with many comforable sofa to enjoy the sunshine!! Location is an enjoyable 10 minute walk from the city center, so you can avoid the city noise during the night. Hotel staff are all speaking English.

Beautiful hotel but mainly for bussines people, not really for leisure. The hotel was very clean, perfect cleaning service, nice intercontinental breakfast, the front desk very kind. Hotel is very close to Rome's atractions.

Excellent location to see most of the significant historical landmarks within easy walking distance.

Hotels.com provided an excellent means to hone in on the hotel we needed. Five adult males, traveling on business in Europe - decided to visit Rome for pleasure while there. Hotel staff was neither friendly nor rude but they were helpful in all cases. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent (Vatican side of the Tiber). Cabs and guides knew exactly where it was located. Only in the hotel five hours each day so we never took advantage of exercise room, TVs, other amenities, etc. but they were available. Short, easy walk to the Spanish Square, Trevi Fountain, Vatican and shopping district. We also walked to the Forum and Colosseum (but that was a much longer trek). When in Rome you MUST visit Hostaria Antica Roma Restaurant - Paolo is the owner and has a 2000 year old recipe for lasagna that was the best I've ever tasted (no tomato sauce). Talk to him about Harley's and the Italian Hogs. Rome is incredible but take a side trip to Florence to view "David" - it will move you.

The pirces are too higher for what they offer. The hotel is quite close from the Vatican and the Castel Angelo. The hotel staf is not very friendly in general. Large breakfast table but you don't have any eggs, pancakes... only brwad, cereals, some fruts and ham.

Ho soggiornato quattro notti per una breve vacanza e sono rimasto davvero soddisfattissimo: un hotel moderno, elegante, pulitissimo, silenzioso e con un eccellente servizio ad un passo sia da via del Corso che da Castel S. Angelo.

800-900 meter nærmere Navona hadde vært helt perfekt, lange meterer når føttene er slitne... men hotellet var bra. Servicen, frokost, rom og takterrasse supert.

+ Meets 4-star standards. Near to Vatican - 10 min - and Piazza del Popolo - 5 min - walking distance. - Poor noise isolation btw. the rooms. Only extended continental breakfast.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen (zentral, aber in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse), die Zimmer sind modern möbliert, hell und sauber. Der Frühstücksraum ebenfalls gross und hell. Das Frühstücksbuffet zwar nicht opulent, doch allemal ausreichend. Wenn man nicht unbedingt eine romantische Unterkunft sucht, ist dieses eher zum Business-Typ zu zählende Hotel eine sehr gute und zuverlässige Wahl.
