Crowne Plaza Hotel Los Angeles Commerce Casino – Commerce

For a Crowne Plaza it was well below standards expected. More of a casino with rooms and the whole place had a distinctly down market feel. Felt like a location for a 70's gangster movie. Location worked for us which is about the only good thing I could say about the hotel.

This hotel was everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful lobby, friendly staff, good food, comfy bed. Room temperature was good, room was quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The bell service people were the most helpful as well as the vallet, and I have them 5 stars. They helped me several times. The front desk not as much, but just go get a "person" and be willing to tip them when they deliver. I did have to ask for a fridge for my room, but they brought me one no problem. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, but not luxury. […] Furniture was of average quality and worn in some places in lobby and room, but still fine (just not "luxury" casino like). I really liked that they had a free shuttle service w in 10 mile radius. Wish I had known that up front, but I used it day 3 and 4 and it was so much better than me going to crowded convention center and fighting crazy CA drivers bringing the heat behind my rental cars a#% lol, and saved me on parking (15-20 bucks at convention center and hard to find!!). The drivers were very nice to work with and accommodating. I liked the location of the hotel just off the hwy. price was very good as well. Wake up service and room service if desired (I did w half pot of coffee lol), and they also have Starbucks coffee in rooms single servings for free. Valet guys extremely friendly and helpful. I did not gamble but the ATMs w low fee (only 2 bucks) was another nice bonus. If I did gamble, the lights there were quite bright...I would want some better "mood lighting" like I'm accustomed to in Reno and Vegas;) Lesa meira

A hybrid between a Vegas strip hotel and a suburban Ramada Inn - garishness on a budget. The Chinese/pan-Asian restaurant in the lobby is to be avoided at all cost, Based on textures and favors and presentation, one could safely assume that the only equipment to be found in the kitchen is a freezer and a microwave. The hotel staff in general (front […] desk, valet, etc.) are helpful, most pleasant and cordial. Rooms are basic, but clean and far more subtle than the decor of the lobby and "casino." A walk though the casino could send even the perkiest person into a state of depression. Shady looking charcters appear to be extras from Hollywood movie about opium den regulars. Lesa meira

as soon as i walked in i was greeted at the front desk. check in process was fast. I liked that there was bars located in the hotel and they had a nice restaurant where i enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. Every worker was friendly and nice.

Hotel looks pretty old style, restaurants are expensive because I was at Treausre Island in Las Vegas one day before and compare menu and prices, one to one ( not buffet ) is expensive than there, Valet parking are not friendly if you don´t accept to use it, the parking lot is far and behind the building so when you arrive and park in front at the front […] desk to register in, the valet people want that you dont take too much time to move your car or if your in the middle of other cars the take a lot of time to attend you, discusting Lesa meira

Went to this Hotel because of its proximity to the Citadel shopping center. Hotel is a bit tacky,and totally catering for gamblers. No poker mcahines, just poker tables. Room was a bit dated, but clean and of normal hotel room size. Ammenities were a bit ordinary, room service discgraceful and expensive even for a hotel of this quality. Wouldnt stay […] again. Hotel room was very nice, but the location is hard to find and self parking is terrible, you have park a mile away because all the spaces are taken up by gamblers for the casino.

Stayed one night with my husband. I definitely would NOT recommend this hotel to someone with kids, simply because there's nothing to do for them, and nothing around the hotel. And if you don't like poker or blackjack, you will be bored here. As far as the rooms and staff and food, that was fine. I booked a ONE king size bed room and got a two FULL bed room. I went to fix it at the desk and he proceeded to tell me I didn't book a king size, I checked my reservations online and I DID book a king. My stay at your hotel went well for the most part. However, I didn't find nearby parking and was told that self-parking would be too far and inconvenient, so I didn't like this. Basically my friends and I book 2 rooms. The hotel gave us rooms side to side where there is a door we can open to get through to the other room. We reserved this hotel at the last minute after checking into an apartment at Hollywood that fell well short of the advertised photos, so much so that we didn't care about (too much) about paying again for alternative accomodation. I had reviewed this Hotel before our trip and was aware of the parking issues, and that it is South of LA when we wanted […] to be just North, but overall i thought it was worth the extra inconvenience. The hotel is well kept, rooms are very clean and the beds are superb. For the price, we were very happy with it overall. Also, if you like discount shopping, the Citidel outlets are just up the road. Well it's a hotel/casino so there are thousands of gamblers in the casino--really thousands--and it's card room only. The refrigerator in my room was broken which is why I deducted the rating for condition or maintenance. Breakfast was terrific in the Manhattan Deli/Grill.

Compimentary breakfast and lunch! Friendly and fast room service. Would definetly recommend it. We dined at one of their restaurants and saw a show there for free. It was great.

Had a nice stay for three days convenient to most of LA .Not place to walk around to explore the area nothing really around.Drive to the mall down the street to walk around. It's a very large Card room not really a casino per-se.Good food is there though

Hotel is in bad need of a remodel. Staff was just average. A lot of very casual service. Casino is depressing. Very cheaply done and uncomfortable environment. This hotel is only there for the locals to come gamble.

Room was immaculate, all hotel staff I had contact with were extremely courteous. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel itself is fine for one with a casino. The parking situation was not great if you want to park your own car. They have limited self parking and you have to compete with casino customers. On average if you park after 5 pm you will probably have to walk the distance of a footbal field to get to the casino/hotel. We were there for the Rose Bowl. The front desk was unbelievably helpful assisting us in routing the best way to get to the parade and Pasadena. Great location (the surrounding area isn't the greatest, but easy access to freeways and centrally located) - great price - would stay again.

convenient location for me. central area and able to move around for business. only complaint with the hotel is that they have all of their valet parking lots close to the hotel. so free parking is a pretty good hike away. they want you to valet. the furniture in the rooms is a little dated, but the hotel is clean, quiet, safe.

Expensive valet parking, and free parking, almost always full because (guess what!!) people gambling in the casino. Good stores near and freeway in front of it. Neighborhood, well, not looking so nice and safe.
