This hotel is great!. The rooms were large and due to the weather well heated ( but also had air con ) but as the weather was well below 0....heating was used. Bar process good, and in a superb location. Check Point Charlie only 500 odd yards away and the underground 700 yards...I found this an excellent value for money place to stay - Weekend visit […] - but also an excellent base for longer trips as main railway station easily accessible as well. This was an amazing room. Great staff. Easy to get to the places I needed to be. Incredible value. I would encourage more people to travel off-season to take advantage of great rooms at reasonable prices.

Excellent location for all sights, cafe's, bars and restaurants within easy walking . Booked the hop on hop off sight seeing bus through the hotel which was well worth the money, (we usually use these in city breaks finding them very informative and highlighting the sights we would like to visit) after using this service found that all the historical […] sights were well within walking distance. Found that the bar in the hotel was not over priced, we did not book the breakfast when we booked the hotel only used it the last day, the local cafe's were very good! Super Hotel, A great hotel, with a great location and the best part of the hotel would be the excellent service of the Hotel Staff Always friendly and ready yo help in what ever way they can. They are quite knowledgeable about the tourist spots, the local transportation system. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Good breakfast and evening treats on front desk and bar area. On St. Nicholas Day a large chocolate Santa was outside each door. Very nice touch!

staff were very happy and helpful, as well as english speaking. the hotel is in easy reach of all major tourist attractions. the rooms are large and clean. only a short taxi ride from the airport. overall we could not fault this hotel.

The cleanliness of the whole hotel was outstanding; the comfort exceptional and the staff could not have been more helpful. Could not fault this hotel at all. The breakfast options were second to none - scrumptious - also the hours from 0630 to 1030 during the week was very helpful.

What a wonderful 4-day stay! Cannot say enough about the location, near access to all transport; the courteous service of the staff; the room facility itself, first class and ever so spotlessly clean; and the most fantastic breakfast buffet. Great hotel. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite upon arrival, which was excellent. It was huge! The staff were extremely nice. The bar was very convenient for us, and the bartender offered us several excellent suggestions for both dining and nightlife. The breakfast buffet was huge if a bit pricey (18 euros). The hotel is located at a convenient location. The room is clean and comfortable. The front desk people are friendly. We stayed on Residenz side for three nights, we felt our room was the home away from home.. We did not take the breakfast offer, there are plenty places where you can have your stomach be taken care of.

The location was good with easy access to a number of sites althought the street itself was a bit desolate at night. The hotel staff were terrific--very, very helpful with suggestions and directions. The breakfast buffett was first rate with staff constantly tidying up and replenishing. The selection was excellent. Our room for three was great with […] a separate area for the third fold away bed. This made it a great choice for a family because aftera day with kids it is nice to be able to spread out a bit. I would recommend the hotel highly as good value. Lesa meira

We spent four nights at the Mercure Hotel and Residenz Check Point Charlie. What a fantastic experience this was. The location is so quiet, yet only a 2-3 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Check Point Charlie and tour buses. The hotel is so clean and rooms so spacious with 14-15 ft high ceilings. The quality of breakfasts was outstanding (inclusive […] in our price). The choices were fabulous. The hotel staff were all excellent and most helpful and spoke perfect English. It was a great shame that they did not have a restaurant to have an evening meal. However, there were quite a few good places to eat in streets adjacent to the hotel. If you want to have a stay to remember in Berlin, this hotel is the place to stay. Lesa meira

Friendly staff and nice decor. Excellent breakfast and very clean rooms.Close to U-Bahn station for getting around City. Only complaint is the construction site opposite the hotel which generated noise from 06:30 to 18:00hrs every day. ( Temporary problem). Would stay at Hotel again regardless.

Service, cleaniness and location are acceptable. But I need to walk through the stair up to my room on 8th floor, which I don't expect from the hotel at this level.

Decent room but on the downside our bedding and towels wasn't changed in the 7 days we stayed & the cigarette machine didn't work we was assured it would be sorted by the receptionist that it would be sorted but in fact it wasnt and it cost 10 euros for a packet of cigarettes.......disappointing overall

Good location, great breakfast but the add-ons were a bit much. I prefer a hotel with breakfast & parking included. It is a stone's throw from Check Pt Charlie.

Good location, we were on a WW2 roadtrip and stayed here on the first and last night. Good location and room was fine. Free wifi in our package. We did book for 3 people and although the room was huge, we only had a double and a sofa bed. We bought a sleeping bag anyway and after a few beers, didn't really care :-)

Very good. Only issues were the electronic key for my room consistently would not work, requiring multiple trips from room to lobby. Also, the coffee machine was not cleaned and prepared each day. Room was excellent, as was location.

This is a good hotel located very close to Checkpoint Charlie and Friedrichstrasse. There are a few restaurants located within a close walking distance, and it is a short walk to the Stadtmitte U-Bahn station. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly, although we were incorrectly informed about breakfast timings (the check-in desk only told us about […] weekend timings, as so we missed breakfast on Monday, assuming it would run until later on too!). However, the breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of options. I would stay here again if I return to Berlin and would recommend it to friends and family. Lesa meira

We had an apartment style room which was just perfect. Kitchen and lounge area down stairs and bedroom which was huge up stairs. Breakfast was also very good.

The hotel is very clean. I like the location because it is not too near all the touristy places, which keeps down the noise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The internet costs 9 euros for twenty-four hours, but it was so slow that I could not even watch youtube videos online. No restaurant.

The room was spacious and quiet, very modern. Loved the blue suede chairs to relax in after days in the city. Shower and washroom spotless and well presented. Reception and hotel front immaculate and staff were pleasant and helpful.

This was a really great deal. Very centrally located to many tourist attractions, historical locations, and restaurants. Also, walking distance to Berlin's metro system. Only con is that there is no free Wi-Fi offered in the hotel, not even in the lobby.

This hotel is great. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet with hot food (rather than just "Continental" offerings -- mine was included with reservation). Very clean and quiet. Great location to subway, and a quick walk to many sites. The only complaint I had was the lack of towels. I travelled alone, and there was only one set of towels... a bit skimpy... […] but other than that, a great stay and I would stay there again when visiting Berlin. Lesa meira

We were very impressed with our room, it was very spacious and airy and bed so comfortable we slept in later than planned. We would stay here again.
