We (2 adults + 1 child) stayed here 3 days before our cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia) and 1 day after. Very pleased with the hotel and would come again. Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms clean, tidy and spacious, high ceiling and interior oozes old classy charm. Free quite fast wi-fi internet for hotel guests. Good central location, close to Terminal station, 15-20 min walk to most of the famous sights. Breakfast buffet quite good and the coffee machine, although automatic, makes an almost perfect cappuchino... for us a BIG PLUS. Some nice restaurants in the vicinity like the Gallo Matto, 5 minutes walk down on Cavour. Just a little minus: Bed mattresses a bit hard for my taste, but slept well anyway.

Pros: - Great location (Colosseum, super market and good restaurants) - Friendly and very helpful staff. - Clean rooms - Computer with internet access in each room. Cons: The only cons that I can think of are: - Very little floor space to store luggage (Minor problem) - Breakfast was only a croissant and a water/cafe at a bakery near by. Would be great if there were some fruits as well. But this hotel is perfect for a couple that are looking for a relatively cheap hotel in a great location! I would recommend this hotel to any couple and if I go back to Rome I would use this hotel again.

Location was pretty good near the city center, about 10 min. bus ride. Staff was very helpful and kind. The room was very nice but the air conditioning was poor. Free internet connection, but it did not work in the room though.

"Corot Hotel in Rome, close to Metro Terminal"
The Corot Hotel is an older, quaint European hotel. It has all the necessities, not many luxuries. The hotel staff is extremely nice and helpful; that and the breakfast is their big plus. The included breakfast buffet is very good, fresh, and abundant. The hotel advertises free wi-fi but I never could get a password in order to enter, so that was inconvenient. "Really Must Improve"
This hotel is extremely convenient to the Termini / Rail Station and perhaps, with guaranteed access to many people, this is why there is no evidence of effort to upgrade the facilities or focus on the quality of service to residents. By far the best breakfast included in a 3 star hotel. Everything was fresh from the granola cereal to the fruit bowl to the pastries...I could have stayed the entire morning just to eat! The room was small but clean but it faced a noisy street. Luckily we pack a fan for white noise.
"50yds from Termini. Terrible Condition."
After 2 weeks in Italy, this was both the most expensive and the worst lodging we experienced. I selected it because it was one of the more expensive rooms within a few hundred yards of Termini, and we had to catch a train to the airport early the next morning. For convenience to the train station, it could not be better, because Hotel Corot is ~50m […] north of the west exit from the station. However, the staff was unwilling to give my wife and myself a double bed, and became rude upon my request (although I was absolutely understanding and both asked and received the answer as politely as possible). . . . and I speak Italian, so I was not a typical "rude and demanding tourist." Further, the toilet would not flush until I adjusted the flushing mechanism (the front desk again refused to help or even take a look at the problem). Finally, the sheets were filthy. There was lint in the sheets, and hair on the pillows. European hotel rooms are never as spacious or surgically hygienic as their North American counterparts, but this was a true disappointment. I've stayed in cleaner hostels. Breakfast was also a disappointment. Conclusion: If you need to stay right next to Termini, save your money and stay in one of the other innumerable hotels within a block of the station. WE choos the hotel because it is only 2 minuts walk from the station. The standard is as expected for a 3 star hotel. Small but clean room. The bed was al itle to hard, but we asked and got extra mattresses.

The hotel was very close to the station and the staff speaks good english. However, the rooms are very basic and small. "Corot hotel - near all transport requirments"
Staying at the Corot was a result of all the previous comments I'd read on Hotels Dot Com and it was a stroke of genius. Travel through Rome is easiest by the Metro with either a single trip or a day trip Roma Pass 4 Euros pp. (covers as much bus & metro travel you can do for the day till midnight). So it is reasonable to expect that a hotel near the […] Termini railway station is going to be a real plus - and it is. Any time you need to catch transport, you are 5 minutes max away from the hub. The hotel itself is 3 star, so you expect 3 star - basic but all you really need. The only confusing thing about the hotel is that at some previous time the building appears to have been split into 2 separate hotels and you do need to access the correct management desk up steps to your right but clearly labelled. The breakfast buffet really sets you up for the day - very comprehensive and with pleasant staff. We cannot speak highly enough of the assistance we received - and given with a pleasant smile. We left our Laptop with them sometimes as it would not fit in the room safe. It was entirely secure - a comforting thought during a day of heavy siteseeing. "Great location for metro"
We stayed at this hotel following a cruise as a stay over before the airport. It is 1 minute walk with luggage to the train station. Some people may be nervous about the neighborhood, but we had no problems and felt safe even at night. They have a typical european breakfast of toast and pastries, juice, coffee and tea. The only negitive for us was even on the non smoking floor, there was a strong smell of smoke. We had to sleep with the window open. "Definitely not a three star hotel"
I was disappointed in the Hotel Corot because it was not as nice as other three star hotels I had stayed in that were in the same area. Room was incredibly small (even for Rome), and mold on the walls was disconcerting to say the least. The price was the same as other three stars, but the value wasn't there.
"Convenient for Catching Next Day Flight"
The Hotel is average. The room is clean. The morning buffet is nice. We stayed one night at the hotel so that we could be near the Termini and catch the train or cab to the airport for a morning flight out of Rome. We arrived at the Hotel in the late morning and they let us check in, which was good. Also Honeymooners should look elsewhere for nicer and more romantic experience. I stayed at Corot Hotel in Rome for 6 nights. It's better than I expected. This hotel offers rooms with reasonable price and it's super close (just down 1/2 the block or less than 2 minutes walk) to the Roma Termini which is a main station in Rome where you can catch a train to other cities (Pisa, Venice, etc) of Italy or you can catch underground train (subway) to other parts of Rome (coloseum, Vatican, etc). You can also catch hop-on/hop-off sightseeing buses there (different companies for you to choose). The staff is very helpful. They offer free WiFi connection in the lobby (I saw the sign but I didn't try it as I didn't bring my laptop). They were able to give me a room at about 12:30pm (we arrived there at about 10:30am). The hotel has a small cafe but I didn't try the breakfast/food there. The rooms are typically small as most Europe hotel rooms but good enough for 2 people. The bed is about king size (they put 2 standard beds together). The room is clean and simple. The matress is hard but ok comfortable. Decoration is not modern and nothing much to talk about but as long as it's clean, I don't care as I only use the room to rest at night. I do not like the brown blanket on the bed though and I didn't use it (it's hot in May when I was there). Tile floor is clean. The frige in the room didn't feel that cold to me. 駅から近くてとても便利です。窓を閉めると通り側の部屋でも意外と静か。朝食はコールドビュッフェですが、コルネットは種類も多く、甘くて美味しいです。カプチーノも頼むと淹れてくれます。設備は古めですが、不足はないレベルでした。

ローマに夕方着き、しかも翌朝出発するため、とにかく駅近という理由で選びました。ホテルの周りは確かにあまり環境はよくありませんが、駅からとにかく近く本当に便利でした。 広い部屋ではありませんでしたが、バスタブもついていたし、WIFIも無料でしたし、１泊するのには十分でした。

When I was looking for a hotel in Rome, I must say that things were not looking good for me. The only ones that I found that looked wothwhile were too expensive or in places with no good connection to public transportation. Nevertheless, I've seen this place, near Termini station, at a good price and with some good reviews. I must say that the hotel […] lived to the hype and I totally loved it. Very near Termini (just 100m away) and subsequently buses, metro and trains. Very friendly staff, free Wi-Fi, awesome room (it even had a hydromassage tub) and a decent breakfast. Just been there for a night, but if I ever return to Rome I will definitely book it. Quando estava à procura de um hotel em Roma, devo dizer que as coisas não estavam a correr de feição. Os únicos que eu encontrava e que pareciam interessantes ou eram muito caros ou em estavam locais com más ligações aos transportes públicos. No entanto, encontrei este lugar, perto da estação Termini, a um bom preço e com algumas boas críticas. Devo dizer que o hotel esteve à altura das minhas expectativas. Muito perto de Termini (a apenas 100m de distância) e subsequentemente de autocarros, metro e comboios. Pessoal muito simpático, acesso Wi-Fi, quarto fantástico (tinha uma banheira de hidromassagem!!!!) e um pequeno-almoço decente. Olimme yhden yön kyseisessä hotellissa, ja valitsimme sen sijainnin takia, mahdollisimman läheltä rautatieasemaa. Hotelli olikin erittäin hyvällä paikalla ja helppo löytää. Saimme hyvää palvelua, huone tullessa tosi viileä, ilmastoinnin sai pyynnöstä pois. Aamiainen ok. Huone oli siisti, "tavallinen" ja hyvä muutaman yön majoitukseen. 로마 중앙역 앞에는 수 많은 호텔이 있습니다. 코로호텔도 이중의 하나인 호텔이었습니다. 전반적으로 시설은 무난하고 이탈리아의 호텔치고는 가격대비 좋았습니다. 중앙역에서 걸어서 5분이면 도착할 수 있고, 직원들도 나름 친절한 편이니 별 무리없이 숙박이 가능하리라 봅니다.

Dit hotel is perfect gelegen ten opzichte van station, metro en bus. Voor transfer naar de vliegvelden van Rome kan het niet beter. Naar de ingang van het station is het 150 meter, en de speciale bus-express van/naar zowel vliegveld Fiumicino als vliegveld Ciampino stopt om de hoek. Toch nog relatief weinig straatgeluiden, omdat het hotel in een zijstraat […] van de drukke stationsstraat ligt. De kamers zijn (zoals alle hotels in Rome) compact, maar niet krap. De badkamer is erg netjes. Het ontbijt (buffet) is voor italiaanse begrippen uitgebreid te noemen. Kortom: perfect hotel voor een stedentrip Rome, en tegen een prima prijs-/kwaliteitverhouding.
