Nice room and pool. Staff called the room 15 minutes after arriving to make sure everything was fine. We had a nice room with balcony overlooking pool. Free shuttle service every half hour to duval st area and back til 10:45. Some across street is a publix, dollar tree, and Pizza Hut. A block from dunkin donuts. Starbucks in lobby. Good stay. Brief. It is located with about a five min drive outside the main core. A bit to far to walk. But there is a free shuttle that leaves every 30 mins

Our check in time was guaranteed to be 3:00PM but the room was not ready until 3:50PM. The desk clerk offered us a free drink at the bar and completmentary bkst. She went above and beyond to make up for the delay. The room was spotless!! We have stayed at higher priced hotels and the rooms were not nearly as clean.

Worker and Manager were rude. The place looked, smell and felt like a motel . Beds are hard . One of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a very long time.

besides the nightmare road construction in front of the hotel , there was so much noise coming from the pool area that it was impossible to sleep. Attempted to speak to the activities coordinator / concierge in the lobby BUT that was a total waste of time. the so called concierge person just sat behind his desk and watched television on his itablet […] and never looked up the answer my question. that individual needs to be replaced immediately and sent to another profession Lesa meira

The people working the front desk were so rude. They made the visit very unpleasant. Everything else was great but the workers need to be more polite. The shuttle driver kept refusing a ride until we got other workers to come out and make him go because the schedule clearly said the last shuttle was at 11pm. Not satisfied with the service.

Not as nice as you would expect when booking a room in a Marriott. The room desperately needed a dehumidifier, as it had that very funky humid feel like you would expect at a cheaper Florida hotel. While technically the hotel did have a "waterfront", it was only about 20 feet wide of water on an inlet, so to advertise this place as a waterfront hotel […] is a bit of false advertising. The pool seemed nice though and they did have a convenient shuttle to downtown so it's not the worst you could do in Key West. Lesa meira

We went in september and it was a quite and relaxing experience. They have a nice pool, outdoor seating with pleasent views throughout the hotel and a convenient and friendly breakfast bar. The rooms were spacious and we especially liked the double sink feature, one inside the bathroom and one outside. Staff was friendly. The hotel is a good value, by Key West standards, if you find a low rate. Our room and the lobby were clean and comfortable. The rooms definitely could use some TLC, but overall they were accomodating and had cold AC, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. The pool was nice and clean as well. The hotel […] is not in old town and requires a short drive to get there, but the shuttle takes care of that and runs back and forth every half hour until 10:45pm. The hotel is across the main street from a few strip malls so on the front side of the hotel you do notice much traffic and construction (while we were in town at least), but to the rear it's very quiet and peaceful with a nice small boardwalk. Like all "beaches" in Key West, the "beach front" area is not very nice but gives you another place to lay out in if that's your thing. Keep in mind that during our stay there were no resort fees or other additional charges like many other Key West hotels are starting to charge in addition to their base rate. Couldn't open the patio door. The linen smell is too strong for our noses. Hotel entrance and the gas stations, road repairs, and pizza hut are eyesore. Nothing to do with the hotel though. Disappointed, the pool area an workout room were excellent, the room was fine. The road construction, the beggers as we entered our room and the highway noise that permeated through the room made for no rest or comfort.

The beds were amazingly comfortable. Air conditioning was awesome. The only issue that concerned us was the awkward cleaning schedule and the upkeep in linens. Our linens weren't returned after the first cleaning and then we answered the door at 4:30 while we we're getting ready to go out with the maid wanting to clean our room. But those two things […] were truly minor. The office staff, the Starbucks lady and the lady at the Tipsy Pelican were all very helpful and hospitable in their service. The complimentary shuttle that took us downtown was a great way to get where we wanted to be. The drivers were very knowledgeable and always on time. Lesa meira

The hotel was clean & relatively updated; however, (although I read in other reviews) the room door opens to an exterior walkway vs. an interior hallway as most Marriott properties. The traffic noise was apparent when sitting in the living room and there was no weather stripping around the door jam to muffle the road noise or weatherproof the room. […] One of the A/C units was not working properly, but I did not spend much time in the room, so I did not complain to the front desk. I did feel as though I was treated as a 2nd class traveler since I reserved the room thru Expedia vs. normally using my Marriott Rewards account...the front desk offered me an umbrella to use, then charged my account for it before I checked out (they promptly reversed the charge when I returned the umbrella...however, as a Marriott Rewards member, I doubt I would've been charged...who knows?). Overall the hotel was nice even though there was no lagniappe I'm accustomed to receiving as a Marriott Rewards member. On a final note, the hotel manager needs to do a better job of scheduling maintenance...on Saturday morning @ 0700 my wife was awakened by coconuts falling on the ground and roof from maintenance workers chopping at the trees. I understand the work was done for guest protection, but does it have to be done @ 0700 on a Saturday? Usually travelers to a recreation location (like Key West) like to relax and sleep in. Old Hotel - Good, bad, or ugly? The hotel had been upgraded...good decor, beds, linens, TV...the pool was great...really clean, nice trees, the staff were friendly & helpful. The problem was sleeping there. There is no soundproofing on the outside door which faces a major thoroughfare...loud motorcycles most of the night and the airconditioning system […] is really outdated. You set the air to a comfortable temperature to use a light cover, and wake up in a pool of sweat because it cuts off during the night, then back on, then back off, then back on....Why not spend money on upgrading what really makes a difference?? This is a nice cute hotel with a beautiful view. The staff are very friendly and helpfu, even thought the hotel was far from the center of the town , they had a shuttle every half hour from 8am until midnight which was a great deal since the parking is an issue in those areas. In general it was a good experience.

I must say the hotel was nice but changes in staff could make this place better. My first impression was bad; I arrived to register and was quickly expose to an intense argument between staff and a guest. Before I can finish checking in the cops were called. The young lady helping was even very nervous and embrass of the situation, she apologize repeatly. […] The show was not necessary and not well controlled. The next day the staff that served us breakfast looked angry and the lady that worked with me in getting my bill had no customer skills what's so ever. In summary this hotel which was recommended by HOTEL and is not one I will visit again. Not a good experience for our first time staying over in the keys especially for Mother Days. Lesa meira

Beautiful hotel with nice pool, hot tub and small beach area. The only negative things we encountered were a few ants in our room and the cleaning staff seemed to hang out in the hallway near our room during the day. The free shuttle to Duvall Street was great. We loved Key West and hope to visit again soon!

Got out of the shower, walked to one end of the room to the other and my feet were filthy black from the carpet. furniture was dirty. Had to put towel over couch to stay clean. Must say staff was very nice. Also we had 4 large pieces of heavy luggage. our room was on second floor, and guess what?? NO ELEAVATORS!!!!!!! Had titkie bar by pool, but no […] drinks allowed at pool side. room air conditioners very loud. No central air. Everything was out dated,and worn out. For the price we paid, we expected alot more! Away from the action in Key West, on busy noisy HWY 1. This place is essentially a glorified Motel. If you stay here make sure your room is not on the HWY side. Too expensive for what you get. Would never stay here again.

I want to stay somewhere close to the main attractions in Key West, but not want to paid the high prices for greatest hotes and still want the Luxury and cleanest of a Fancy hotel. Great place to stay. I am a Travel Agent and have a best time, without parking extra for parking or trasportation to the main attractions. I will stay again if come back […] to the key for few days. We really enjoyed this Courtyard! Recently we stayed in another one in Orland and it did not hold a candle to this one. The hotel was clean, had nice ammenities, and most importantly, the staff went out of their way to be nice! All in all, a most pleasurable stay!

This Courtyard hotel is not up to standards when compared to other Courtyard hotels I have stayed at before. The hotel was an old motel that had been refurbished. The rooms had exterior doors and there were no elevators! I lugged my 50 lb bag up to the second floor...I wasn't too thrilled with that! The interior of the room was very large but the beds […] were typical hotel quality beds instead of the upgraded beds that most of the Marriot Courtyard Hotels have now. If I had been familiar with Key West I would have picked a hotel near Duval Street and probably found one much better for the same price or even less. Overall, this was not a good experience. Got there a little early so room wasn't quite ready, but staff at desk was so friendly and invited me to use the pool, internet or otherwise make me comfortable until they called me. The staff gets high regards here, especially the front desk and I speak of several of them I encountered. Greeted me, smiled and always helpful. The concierge was just […] as pleasant and so was the tiki bartender at pool. Although this hotel is a "waterfront" hotel, don't be fooled, it basically is surrounded by a lagoon and a small man-made beach that has a not so pleasant smell. But the decks around it and the sunset view and breeze are excellent and I didn't stay at this hotel to be on the "waterfront." This hotel is a clean, quiet, well-kept, comfortable hotel with a very reasonable price. You cannot beat the hotel shuttle to and from downtown attractions and their pool is heated and very enjoyable. I will return to this hotel! Lesa meira
