"Pleasant outing in Fredericksburg"
The price was great; the room very clean and comfortable; the breakfast was very good; the staff was friendly. Only negative comments are about the carpet in the dining area which needs to be replaced and the hinge on the front door which is in need of repair.

"hotel in fredericksburg texas"
my girlfriend and i went to fredericksburg fir 3 nights to shop and eat and visit enchanted rock. this hotel was great bc it was on main street but at the end of street, so wasnt in the way of the crowds and traffic. the shops and restaurants on main street were only a 3 min drive. easy to to get in and out of hotel to shop or walk, nice view of hill […] country mountains from room. check in was really quick and easy, lady at check in was really nice and helpful. bed was way more comfortable then expected,fridge came in handy for drinks. overall rating was extremely satisfied and would stay here again and recommend this hotel to everybody. regualr price may sound pricy but when stay 3 nights or more, save 25% and was affordable. 10 out of 10 Lesa meira

"HOWARD JOHNSON - FREDERICKSBURG"
The front desk staff were exceptionally nice and helpful from the minute we got there until we left two days later. Rooms were clean and ready for our arrival. Thanks for a great stay!
We checked in, in the early part of the day and were given a room right next to the check in/ reception desk we heard the phone ringing and well as the elevator and loud people all night! Needless to say we didn't get a good nights sleep!

We had a wedding to attend during the very busy Wine festival and most of the rooms in town were booked. The room was very clean and quiet. We were concerned that being on the highway side of the hotel but it was not noisy at all. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.
Overall....good. Walls/Floors need more noise insulation.
"Very nice hotel"
I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless and cozy. The location is great, too. It's just about a 3-minute drive from the visitor's center parking lot (depending on the amount of foot traffic you have to navigate around). I can't comment on the free breakfast since I didn't partake, […] but it certainly smelled good. (Hey, it's free!) This is definitely where I will stay the next time I visit Fredericksburg. "A little worn out"
Wallpaper coming off walls in bathroom, rust around drain in bathroom sink, things that could easily be maintained for better appearance. Everything just a bit worn out.

Stayed 2 nights. Was very nice. I have compliance about the hotel. It was next to a road but never heard cars passing by. Great hotel give it a 5 for overall rating.Would stay many more nights.

"Howard Johnson Fredericksburg-Hill Country"
Yes, I would recommend this hotel. It is located on the edge of the towns main street and stores for shopping but it was still a very nice hotel and clean rooms. The towels and sheets smelled clean. It smells like they use bleach to clean those items and I like that idea. It had some road noise but not as bad as the kids next door yelling and running […] up and down the hallway until 1:00 am. Where's the parents? Thank goodness it only lasted for about 30 mins. Otherwise all was quiet and a very good stay. And another plus.....they are located across the street from one of the best German restaurants in the town. Yum! You can't miss it. It is a two story salmon color building. "good overall with a few excetions"
Our stay was nice at the howard johnson hotel.The staff was nice,the rooms were clean,the breakfast was great including:eggs,potatoes,yogurt,bagels,toast,waffles,and more.our only complaints were that the pool was small.Also the fact that the doors that lead to side of the building,the main lobby doors,and the porch area/pool doors do not get locked […] at night.Which we didnt like because it made the hotel feel less secure but overall it was nice. "Very nice hotel but right on the highway"
We were given a room on the highway side of the hotel and it was very noisy with semis driving by all night. Since there was very little vacancy that night, I wonder why we weren't put on the other side. At any rate, this is our only complaint about this hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, it was clean and attractive and the beds were comfortable. […] I recommend this hotel but suggest you request a room on the non-highway side of the building. "Never stay there again."
We got to the hotel, the TV didn't work (you had to wiggle the coax cable to get it to work), light out in the bathroom and the toilet leaked. We were there for three nights, they never vacuumed the room. The staff was friendly, and the price was reasonable, but I had rather pay more and have my room cleaned better, and things work.
"Fredericksburg Howard Johnson - close to town"
Hotel entrance clean and lobby was quiet. Lots of road noise up and down the Highway. Breakfast meals had a fair variety. Coffee and food were not kept up with the guest traffic. It appears that there is more up front work to perform than there are people. People were very friendly.
"Worst experience ever!!"
The quality of service at this hotel was some of the worst I have ever experienced. The bed linens were filthy! Upon complaint to the staff, I requested clean bed linens, ones that did not contain animal hair, human hair, dirt, sequins, or crumbs, and I was told the manager had to be called. After the conversation between the manager and the desk clerk, […] I was told there was nothing they could do. I stated I would simply like some clean bed linens, to which I was told by the clerk " I am the only person here, i guess if I get a break, I could get you some." I stated I could put them on the bed myself if they were simply handed to me, to which she again replied "There's nothing I can do." Upon further inspection, I found the mattress pads to be non hypo-allergenic nor bed bug resistant, as well as being covered in human hair. I requested a clean one of these, abd took the linen to the counter as proof that it was sub par at best, Again, I was told there was nothing she could do. I requested to speak to the manager, only to be told she could not be contacted, eventhough she was just spoken with earlier over the phone. I requested a refund of my money and stated I would like to leave the hotel. I again was told that was not possible, and there was nothing she could do. I informed the clerk I would be filing a complaint with their corporate offices for the dirty linens and poor service. I went back to my room, and within five minutes the manager called and requested I leave her hotel at once. I told her i would gladly leave as long as I was refunded for my stay. She said again that she could not do that, and again that i needed to leave. After some exchange, she agreed to refund my money. I went down to check out, where the clerk told me that was not possible for her to do. She stated the manager would do it on Monday and mail me a receipt. I left the hotel Saturday March 19th, and waited on my refund. I spoke with the manager on Tuesday March 22nd and was told the refun Lesa meira

"HOJO"
this was a good hotel except it is right next to the 290/87 junction so if you dont sleep like the dead you hear cars, motorcycles and heavy trucks barreling though. overall it was a nice hotel. close to where we wanted to be and a nice looking location. parking was a tiny pain but huge post office parking lot next door if you don't mind a really short […] walk. would stay again with earplugs... "Spring Break"
Good two star hotel for the price. It's conviniently located on the edge of Main Street, so you'll have to drive to the shops and restaurants. It offers a continental breakfast (cereal, buscuits, waffles, coffee, etc).
Most of the staff was great, but the evening person was quite rude. The place just doesn't match the standard that was there when it was a Holiday Inn Express.

it is good for sleepers who can sleep with sounds of people talking in corridor or med-loud noises next room. And it is right next to the road (87) - the other side is cemetry. Over all stay is good. Hotel is clean. If you are looking for silent and relaxation stay - try another

"HoJo, Fredricksberg, TX (nw side of town)"
Great little hotel, with reasonable prices typically with friendly staff. OK breakfast included. Clean room, and most importantly the air quality inside the hotel was consistently good. No 'musty' smells anywhere. But the hallways were a bit chilly in December, and the room was rather chilled when we arrived. The heater did work to heat the room after […] over 10 minutes of working on it. The heater/AC didn't have a thermostat, so it was either all on / or all off while you slept. Your choice. : - ( But there was ample parking, and seemed very clean. Less than 5 minutes drive to all the downtown historical sites and shopping. Lesa meira

Despite having the hotel be at the end of the main strip the location was nice. The hotel itself was clean and functional. Service was good and the breakfast was decent. Muffins, Juice, Waffles etc. The only complaint I have is that we were placed in a room that was handicap/wheelchair accessible. The shower was one where no basin existed so no option […] for a bath, and showering was a little odd. Overall the stay was good and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Labor day weekend, they had two rooms down with broken air conditioners with nobody to fix them until the next work week. They gave away our room and we had to settle for a room with two full beds. Rooms were clean but not clean smelling or crisp.

The hotel overall was a great place to stay. It was very affordable compared to others in the area. If you are going to use the pool though, I would not recommend staying here. Some of the other hotels had much nicer pools, and this one was not kept clean. We tried using Sunday and it was gross. However, we didn't really care about the pool when we […] booked because we don't have kids, and we really didn't think we would use it. Hotel breakfast was great. all rooms are non-smoking. good hot breakfast was available. room-key was voided on second day in error by the hotel staff. had to have key re-activated. toiletries provided by motel were inferior. shower head was nice. plenty of towels provided. only one icemaker for the whole motel. all rooms have inside access only. parking is limited.
