I had an enjoyable 2 night stay at the Hardman House. This hotel is conveniently located close to many things in downtown Carson City. They offer a nice complimentary continental breakfast, and there is always coffee and tea provided in the lobby. The underground free parking must come in handy in the winter. Staff was great. In checking in, Regina was most kind in helping me place my auto (it was full of items of great value) in order that it was secure and so that they could watch it thru the night on a security camera.I checked out at 4:45 am, breakfast did not start till 6 am. Checked in at 8:30 pm. Did not realize the thermostat heat would NOT be adjustable! 1 am the room was 88 degrees! Air conditioning did not work....room was soooo hot, never got the heat to turn off......opened the window. 40 degrees outside, room never got below 78 degrees. Very little sleep that night. I didn't expect much from the continental Breakfast, but truthfully it was worse then I expected..they offer coffee 24hrs...the downside is it tastes like a brown crayon dipped in water...otherwise it is a great place for the money, good location, friendly and helpful staff. I was looking for a comfortable and quiet place to stay. I stayed four nights, and I enjoyed the quiet and casual atmosphere. I ate breakfast everyday at their well stocked lobby. I watched the news as I ate, and started my day very alert.

The price was right. The location was close to two nice restaraunts: Basil Thai, and Garibaldi's. The room was clean. The front desk staff was freindly. The breakfast was adequate, though the coffee undrinkable. Fortunately, Starbucks was nearby. The major drawback, and the reason I would not return, is that our room was too hot. In the middle of February, […] when the outside temp was in the 40's, our room on the 3rd floor was 76 -- too warm to sleep. It turned out the air conditioning for the building was not working. The pictures don't reveal the shabby state of this hotel. Carpets thin and stained. The "deluxe" breakfast advertised on their sign was meager and unappetizing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was an older hotel with the basics and clean. Due to the snow, I appreciated the underground garage!

The Hardman House is very centrally located. We arrived and were greeted nicely - they did put us in a room right next to the elevator and couldn't move us, but it wasn't too noisy. Some street noise from traffic, but overall fairly quiet for its location. The remote for the TV was broken and only worked occasionally, and the clock on the table was […] broken as well. It was a clean room, but nothing spectacular by any means. Dated design, but it did have a fridge (not great, but working) and a microwave. We were able to walk to a family restaurant for breakfast right across the street (and they did provide a free "contientnal" breakfast from 6-9am) and then walked to the Nevada State Museum just 2 blocks away. Overall a nice stay for our family, and we will probably consider returning in the future. Lesa meira

Hotel was older and shows it age. The sign outside advertises a 'Deluxe Breakfast" that includes a fruit basket, pre-packaged bread for toasting, yogurt, and one type of muffin. I consider this to be continental breafast - at best - and NOT deluxe.

We travel for baseball a lot, and this hotel fit our needs- quiet (an older clientele), proximity to fields in Carson City, basic breakfast, and inexpensive.

We stayed 4 nights. It was fine. Very old but very very clean. I was very unhappy that they advertised free wifi but it was horrid. They said there were 3 wireless networks but there was only one and it was so slow I couldn't do anything. I talked to them About it twice and they really had no idea what to do and couldn't help. I would have left after […] the 2nd dy be ausenof it as i needed to be able to work but i didnt want to go through the hassle. We enjoyed our stay. I liked the foyer area. It was a nice sitting area for reading and relaxing. I wish the TV hadn't been on when no one was watching it. Beds were comfortable and we had a choice of flat pillows or fluffy ones. I appreciated the icebox in the room and microwave so we could have some meals there. Absolutely brilliant, couldn't fault it. Perfect situation downtown. Easy walking to restaurants etc. Carson city downtown felt safe and clean.

THE HOTEL OVERALL WAS NICE, BUT THERE WERE A LOT OF STAINS ON THE CARPET IN THE HALLWAY AND IN MY ROOM. THE OUTLET IN THE BATHROOM DID NOT WORK AND NEEDED REPLACING. THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST LEFT MUCH TO BE DESIRED. THE HOTEL HAD GOOD PARKING AND IS IN A GOOD CENTRAL LOCATION IN CARSON CITY.

A little dated but clean with a fantastic staff. The breakfast was simple, toast, english muffins cinnamon toast, hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal and yogurt and coffee, tea and milk, juice. Overall a pleasant experience.

I'll start off by saying that the staff and location were great. But that's really where the complements end. The room had a loud AC that rattled and made it difficult to sleep with. The thermostat was in shambles when we arrived making it hard to even set the temperature. A general lack of plugs to recharge anything also struck me as odd (only 2 free […] plugs for us to use). It was a great price but I understand why. If looking to save this might be your place, but if you want the amenities then look elsewhere. Lesa meira

The hotel was just OK, nothing special but not bad either. Good 1 or 2 nighter. Not a lot of amenities but they did serve a breakfast which was good but basic. The staff did recommend a great restaurant, Red's 395, food, astomosphere and price were excellent.

Nothing great but not bad either. The people at the front desk were really nice. The price was reasonable and I got a decent room. It was clean but carpet was kinda old. A small number of loud vehicles could be easily heard from the main street. I recommend wearing earplugs but I'm a super-light sleeper.

The hotel is old but it has most of things you need to stay overnight. If I had to stay longer than 1 night, I may choose other hotel. For the price and quality, I think it's reasonable. There is a microwave in the room. The breakfast is served near the front desk. Very comfortable. Hotel is old, but clean and had some renovations that brought the rating up overall. Carpets should be replaced. Walls, rooms, furniture, bath, window treatments all looked fresh and new. Excellent service at front desk. A good hotel in a good location within walking distance of city trails. Room was clean and breakfast suitable. Ample parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Walls were a little thin as we could here some noise from the neighbours. Overall a very comfortable stay for a reasonable price. Would stay here again.

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and eager to help with any of our needs. There was no elevator, but there was one handicap parking space infront. Continental breakfast was more than just coffee and pastries.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hardman House for a class reunion. While we lived in Carson for many years and drove past this hotel many times, we had never stayed there before. It was convenient to all the downtown festivities. We checked in later in the night, parked our car, and walked 5-7 blocks to reach the Carson Nugget and all reunion […] festivities. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet given it's location. We would stay there again and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting easy access to downtown, plus a nice room at the end of a busy day. Lesa meira

We have stayed at the Hardman House before and will again. It is close to downtown, the staff are very friendly and the rooms nice. We enjoyed the breakfast, but don't expect a full continental breakfast - it's just the basics.

Stayed at the Hartman 2 nights and thought it was a good hotel and you get alot for little. It is near downtown and many good restaurants are near by. It is a short walk to Capitol and museums. Have good fireworks on the 4th of July in Carson City.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. The included breakfast is generous and well-balanced with fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, a variety of pastries, juices,cereal and coffee. It is within walking distance of the state capital and various other historical buildings. Staff was friendly and helpful.
