"This place is just plain bad"
This is a very old, very dirty, no frills hotel in a pretty good location. My son and I stayed here for one night. We wanted to be reasonably close to the Miami Heat's arena and near Miami Beach. we were within a short walk to the beach and a 15-20 minute drive to the game. The location was pretty good. We walked to the beach and walked up and down […] the boardwalk. However, the hotel itself was horrible. The rooms were very old, old dirty carpeting, no pictures on the walls, no curtains on the windows (only mini-blinds), and no blankets on the beds- only two sheets. We had to ask the front desk staff for blankets. The tv was a 19 inch tube tv with basic service- no ESPN. Everything about this hotel said "we cater to drunken college students who don't care about anything but a bed to sleep in. I would never book this place again! My husband went down to Miami for a business trip and the company had us a reservation at the Hilton. We arrived a day early and had to find a place for the night. We didn't want to spend much so we found this hotel. All of the others ranged from 300-600 per night. When we walked in I was ready to run. Very old, in need of major updates. We got to the […] room. Small window air unit, broken blinds, stained carpet, hard cream beds in a white room. It literally felt like a Hostel in another country. The staff was rude and inhospitable. No parking for guests. Hotel has no parking space even to load or unload your luggages, we had to double park beeing exposed to heavy traffic. You have to go 4-5 blocks away to find a spot to park on your own. Rooms have windows,matresses and carpet from 1920. Also our window was coming apart and carpet was wrinkled and with dirty spots all over. "Garbage place but you get what you paid for"
The Venezia hotel is very ugly. First, they have receptionist who are pretty mean and forgetful with my deposit. Second 1/2 of rooms lock was not working and they place was not clean. The only nice thing about the place was the washroom. The location was alright as buses are easily accessible. Overall for the price we paid we got a garbage place and […] I strongly reccommend anyone coming to Miami invest a little more money for your hotel. "Hotel Venezia is a good choice for overnight stays"
The address for the hotel is wrong on Hotel.com (it's 3867 Indian Creek Drive, not 3865), but other than that I liked the hotel. It is older, but what isn't in Miami Beach? I found the room to be clean and comfortable (especially the beds) and the complimentary continental breakfast was a really nice touch, light fare, nothing complicated. The staff […] was friendly and helpful and the location, though a little out of the way for me, was nice and scenic. I stayed overnight for a cruise the next day and for what I needed it was right on. The cab rate to the Port of Miami was what I expected, in fact it was less than I paid the last cruise I took from Miami from a 'closer' hotel, so that was a nice surprise. "This hotel serves a purpose"
We had low expectations of this hotel since we were in town for a specific event and did not plan to spend much time in the room. These low expectations were met. The hotel is old, not well kept, but it is generally clean. The beds were not very comfortable, but the shower and bathroom size and cleanliness were adequate. The staff was friendly. We did […] enjoy sitting on the hotel porch when we had down time to enjoy a nice breeze. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to South Beach. The walk is a fairly nice opportunity to see the sights if you have time and it is not too hot out. We would not stay there again ourselves, but for someone simply looking for a place to lay there head without spending too much money (compared to South Beach), this hotel works. "Close to the beach"
The hotel is definitely not fancy for the amount of money we paid during New Year's . But considering the fact that almost any other hotel was much more expensive that this, I feel it was a good stay for just sleeping after partying. So don't expect anything too extra-ordinary. Room was clean, good maid service, ok-ok breakfast. Parking is definitely […] an issue but you can find a place to street park(paid) within a couple of block. For us parking was not a deal-breaker. "It´s not the worst ever"
We booked two rooms, one was "ok" the other one, not at all - no warm water, AC didn´t work, one of the beds were broken, the lights didn´t work... the door to the room was broken. The breakfast was pretty much a joke. We will not book this hotel again.Ósvikin umsögn gests á Hotels.com
