There were no non smoking rooms available so the hallway smelled horrible. The room was fairly clean but they don't vacuum under the bed so that should let you know how much effort they put into cleaning. Other guests got into a fight at three a.m. on the first night and then came in late the second night arguing and slamming doors....not a pleasant […] stay at all and will not stay here ever again. I was very surprised by the lack of amenities in this hotel -- no shampoo, blow dryer, etc. -- and the room was dirty. There were hairs in the bathroom and unwashed silverware in the kitchenette. This hotel was not what I expected. They don't even give you shampoo & soap unless you stay for more than 7 days. No cleaning service either! I felt horrible for my husband & son that I booked this dump!

This was the 2nd time I stayed here and I was pleased again! Staff was very, very friendly (as always). Room was very clean & comfortable. Had a couple of loud (apparently intoxicated) men being loud in the hall & slamming doors but eventually it quieted down. But overall, very satisfied & look forward to stays in the future!!

I was terrible. I would not recommend to my worst enemy! Not clean. Terrible service. No blow dryers, no shampoo, no conditioner. I travel quite a bit for work and have not had an experience like this in 25 years.

The hotel is nice and clean. The only complaint I would give is that the fridge in our room was not cooling at all. I informed about it at the front desk twice but they did not send anyone to fix it. The hotel does not have any ice machine or anything either. We stayed here for 2 nights only so I didn't really make a fuss over it.

I arranged the stay for an elderly out of town guest. The check in should have been a indicator of things to come, the elevators and halls reaked of cigarette smoke and body odor. Housekeeping was non existant. Would not ever reccomend this place to anyone

i checked in late after driving up from new orleans, there was no one to let me in the door. i had to call the corporate office 1-800 number and then they had to call the front desk to let me in. i was literally standing outside wit hmy bags for 15 minutes at midnight waiting for someone to open the locked doors. pretty bad for business in my opinion. […] if you are looking for service, this is def not the place. nice clean rooms though. great location if you are attending LSU events Lesa meira

I've stayed here twice and I actually think it got better the second time. Last time I informed them that the non-smoking floor smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The manager apologized and said they were working on preventing people from smoking. I can't remember if I stayed on the same floor, but this time the non-smoking floor smelled clean. I stayed the 8-10. The comfort was good but they did clean my room while I was out that day. I came back to the same looking room no new towels everything wasn't cleaned up. It was a let down when I returned to your hotel. If that's need was met then I would have had an outstanding stay at your hotel...

People were in our room at least three times when we were out, stuff was moved one time a light was on, when we came back one afternoon, the TV was on. The desk clerk refused to call security because "nothing was taken". Everything was great except people definitely smoked on non-smoking floors and the hallway reeked of smoke and would sometimes seep into my room. Location was okay and lobby looked recently renovated but this was the dirtiest hotel room I've ever seen. Shower and toilet had quite obviously not been cleaned after previous guest and the smell of cigarette smoke in room was unbearable. Neighborhood is fine, it's just awkward to sometimes have to make a U-turn to reach hotel when coming from one direction. Several restaurants nearby. Cleanliness is good but housekeeping is iffy: sometimes there are towels, sometimes not. But the clerk at the front desk in the morning is always friendly and accommodating (I need to remember her name!) […] We are there only to sleep so we don't see any staff other than front desk, MOST of them are great! The room space is big, full kitchen & some basic dining equipment (like cups, plates, fork & spoons, etc.)makes it easy to cook & eat. However I don't like to cook in an open kitchen to avoid my clothes get the smell. Also they don't offer breakfast, but I found a walmart nearby to get some food, which is cool. Love the area of the hotel, very nice surroundings. Easy access to downtown area. Nice hotel for the price, lacking in the housekeeping department. Floors in bathroom needed a better sweeping and moping. Carpet could use a cleaning. could also use some sort of air freshner, a little stale.

The hotel was ok. It served its purpose, was clean, in a good neighborhood, close to where I needed to be and had a small kitchenette, which was a big help. i would stay there again and recommend it to others.

This walls and floors are not very sound proof and the person staying above us was walking and banging things all night! I was disappointed in the customer service or lack of it. It was difficult to find someone at the desk. The room had few amenities- a small kitchen, but nothing to wash the dishes with; made me wonder what previous patrons used to clean the dishes I was to use. This facility is not clean, not even near clean. I would not recommend unless your a working road warrior. I have stayed at other ESA Hotels and enjoyed my stay. This was not one of them.

Was in town one night and needed a place with a refrigerator. All I can say is; thank goodness it was only one night. The hotel STINKS. It smells of smoke and funk! The carpet needs replacing and the walls need painting. Needs a major overhaul. I wouldn't stay here again.........ever!

While this hotel was convenient don't expect non-smoking rooms. They have many workers staying here and they all seem to smoke outside the building, in the smoking rooms, etc, so it smells like smoke everywhere. The beds are also uncomfortable so more than one night would be hard.

The hotel was good for the price. I was in town for two days and the room was very well maintained. The halls smelled awful, but once you got in the room it smelled fine. The desk people were very nice. Couldn't tell you about a cleaning crew, because I didn't see any. All in all a nice place for the price you pay.

The facility was in a nice area, but it was very BLAH. When you turned off the light, the outside light from the hallway oured around the door frame. Once again, I cannot stress enough this is probably the best unknown deal in Baton Rouge. Its no that expensive and its clean. There is a Kitchenette in the room, and yes there are only 2 forks knives and spoons, a fryin pan , and pot. But noone can expect for the price to have every pot, pan, and utensil furnished.
