Not good at all

The hotel is conveniently located between 2 tube stops and there are both a Sainsbury's and Waitrose right on the doorstep along with a couple of decent restaurants. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in getting my TV working again with only minutes to go before kick-off in the Chelsea v Barca match and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere in the […] lobby and, albeit small, bar. I'd checked out a few hotels in the area for my stay. myself and a few colleagues were attending an exhibition at Earls Court throughout our stay and the hotel was well positioned for this purpose. Our rooms, despite having a facelift recently, were in parts, very dirty. My bathroom had bodily hair left in the bath and there were 'stains' on my bed […] sheets. It is difficult to enhance anything specific but the hotel was a pleasant experience. Things worked the way they should and the employees were nice. Rooms are not big but as this is London - and even Kensington - you cannot expect much more. Definitely value for money and a great base for both vacation and work.

The room was a good size for London, but we were rather disappointed that the 'double' bed was actually two singles pushed together but made up separately - i.e. each with a single duvet! The free soft drinks in the mini-bar were a nice touch, as was fresh milk being available free from the bar for making in-room tea/coffee. stayed in this hotel in the month of feb 2012 and was the hotel was cute, but very small. the staff is very accommadating. would recommend this hotel to others.

Good for travelling from Heathrow on the tube (as we did), the hotel is within easy walking distance from two tube stations. Rooms were really small with wobbly fixtures which didn't give us the impression it was a 4 star hotel. Overall it was ok for a two night stay with easy access to public transport but we probably wouldn't stay here again.

The worst experience in London. We decided to book a Mercure hotel because we know already the high quality of these structures around the world. Unfortunatly, we still cannot understand how the Mercure London Kensington can be classified a 4 star hotel. Our double room was really small. We needed to open our luggages using the chair and the little […] table present in the room, because there is absolutely no space on the pavement. The bathroom was small, even for one only person. A spot light exactly on the top of the tube, and a 250V AC power connector for razor on the wall of the tube, are not so safe devices!!! Obviously the electric system doesn't have EU certification. Probably they should come to Europe to learn our standards. The door of the bathroom, refurbished and "hand-painted", if opened, will close the access to the room because of the small corridor. Only one main lamp in the room. To turn it off, you need to turn off the main switch (placed close to bed). Turning off the main switch will switch off all the power connectors in the room...really strange!!! The bed is 30 cm from the wall. This is all the space you have to go from one side of the room to the other side. We suppose that bedclothes haven't never been changed during our three days stay. My girlfriend left a spot of make up on the pillow, that we've found till the last day of our stay. Internet wi-fi is working, but at the fifth floor the signal was very weak. You can use it to surf the web, but forget any voip software because there are proxies and firewalls that will lock you. Ports are closed. I asked the reception if possible to temporary-open for me a port on the router, they replied me "what does the router mean???"... Furthermore, I suggest you not to buy internet access for more than one day. It's enough to buy it once because it's a shared connection with always the same password. Very small room. It is like they put the bed and then built walls around it.

Overall the hotel was quite comfortable, and the public areas were very stylish. The room was a little small but given the location and other hotels I have stayed at in central London it was quite adequate. Amenities were all a short walk from the hotel including the Tube and several restaurants.

We only wanted a room for a night so we could attend a party in West London - price and location were therefore a priority and this met both requirements. Despite being on a main road into London (A4) the room was quiet, clean and well presented although quite small. We had a small overnight bag but a couple with large cases may struggle. A spotless room with very comfortable beds. A bit unhappy that we were expected to pay for TV from 9.30pm onwards. Staff were polite but not very friendly.

The hotel has a great location and people were nice and helpful; but it looks better that it really is. Rooms are very small and tight. With the offer we got it was ok, but is not near worth what is being asked on the daily rate. LMA

Overall good but breakfast room too small which lead to a bit of a free for all as guests jostled for tables. Nice compact bar and friendly barman

Our room was ready for us when we arrived and we had arrived a couple of hours before the designated check-in time, which was a great surprise! The hotel is just down the road from Gloucester Road tube station, which is dead handy. The man on reception wasn't the most friendly person but he sorted our things out quite efficiently. We purchased via internet shopping and checked in to a much smaller room than advertised. The desk cautioned us not to believe the internet... We were then offered a very expensive upgrade which was necessary to open two suitcases. A different floor was also requested as the first offer was on a freshly painted floor and the paint smell was strong […] enough to make your eyes water. The new room was better size but more expensive than several neighboring hotel equals offer. By the second day, the room next door smelled like a fireplace as you walked past. Two reports to the desk failed to stop the apparent smoking even though it advertised that smoking is prohibited. Finally, the repeat stay was originally driven by memory of complimentary internet service in previous stays. Instead we were advised that daily charge was now 15 pounds or approximately $25 US dollars. That changes our interest in future stays. Lesa meira

The double room we got was so small that we thought it was a single. When we went to verify this we were told it was the "small double" we booked. We therefore upgraded to a "large double" which was a reasonable size for two adults but cost more. The walls of this hotel are so paper thin that we could even hear our neighbors zip their suitcases. This […] made it hard to sleep and moreover the beds were as hard as boards. The lobby was spacious, clean, modern with a bar and coffee shop attached. Breakfast was not very exciting however. I know some folks like Cumberland sausage (my son and daughter-in-law for example) but they are the exception, I am sure. And if they are going to serve scrambled eggs, please - not waterry and pale. Perfect location to Victoria Station and on a very quiet street. Quiet room towards the back which was perfect for us. Desk was helpful with whatever we asked for, definitely would recommend this hotel to others.

We found the hotel very convenient to Underground, restaurants and supermarket (Sainsburys). It was very clean and although our room was a bit small especially for 4 days it contained everything we wanted, and we would definitely stay again in the future.

Although the room was small it is in a great Central London location. Since all you need the room for is sleeping, it is a great value for the money.

The Quality Crown Hotel Kensington was so convenient for us because it is close to two tube stations and many but routes. We enjoyed out stay and were given good information and directions by the hotel staff.

The room was a decent size, but the mattresses were lumpy and very uncomfortable. We could hear people in rooms next to us. The elevator broke down and there was only one elevator. The staff was very nice, but not very knowledgeable about tourists information. We would not recommend this hotel.

I was expecting more from the Quality Crown Hotel Kensington since it was listed as a four star hotel. It was not my idea of a four star hotel, but it was a decent hotel. The rooms are very very small and the furniture isn't modern at all, but it was very clean so I guess that is all that really matters. The hotel is located in a nice area and is an […] easy walk to two tube stations (Gloucester Road and Earl's Court), a large grocery store, and many restaurants. Really nice perk is that there is free wi-fi in the coffee shop that is located in the lobby. The staff was helpful. Hotel is ok, decent location. Only real gripe was the hotel room was tiny. Really small. I was on the 6th floor and the my companion was on the 3rd floor and we agreed each off our rooms was were the smallest we'd ever been in. We didnt spend much time in our room so it wasnt a major issue. Front desk staff, especially at night were very helpful.

Although the room initially seemed small, compared to the US, my wife and I became very content with it. It was in an excellent part of London and everyone, from the doorman to the waitresses, were excellent. I feel more than satisfied for the price paid and the service received.

Mycket nöjd med hotellet! Jättefina rum o fräscht, trevlig personal!

Vi ble godt mottatt da vi ankom hotellet, men deretter gikk det bare nedover. Resepsjonisten klarte å markere feil på kartet vårt hvor hotellet befant seg. Da vi fikk rommet var det kun plass til en liten dobbelseng (smått for to personer) og én koffert på gulvet. Det var ingen steder å henge opp jakker, så vi brukte speilet. Senga var steinhard, så […] vi våknet med vond rygg hver dag. Med tanke på hvor lite rommet var kan rengjøring av rommet umulig funnet sted mens vi var der. De reide senga og sjekka at vi hadde håndklær. De positive tingene: god beliggenhet, fin resepsjon. Utmerket hotell for de nysgjerrige, fordi du får med deg ALT naboen foretar seg! Lesa meira

Hotellet ligger mycket bra till, nära Earl's Court tunnelbanestation. Rent och snyggt och fint badrum. Det enda negativa var att ett "small double room" var ungefär som en garderob med en 120 dubbelsäng. Alldeles för litet för 2 personer.

Hotellet Ok men personalen kan vara mer tillmötesgående. Vi valde ett "litet" rum (2 pers) och det var litet, i minsta laget även för att vara litet.

Meget små rom. Sliten standard. Meget liten dobbeltseng.

Fint Hotell med hyggelig personale. Veldig trangt rom og sengen er beregnet på to som vil holde rundt hverandre :) Harde madrasser og puter for de som liker det! Ellers moderne og flott interiør. 5 min å gå til nærmeste undergrund stasjon.

Hørte alt gjennom enkeltdør til rommet ved siden av(snorking,hosting ol...),da dette sikkert også brukes som familierom. Frokosten er altfor dyr i forhold til hva en får. En` trang og treig heis. Ligger fint og rolig til med enkel kommunikasjon til det meste av severdigheter . Pass på når du sjekker ut at regningen stemmer,vi ble fakturert for rommet […] en gang til på tross av at det var forhåndsbetalt. Har vært her før men velger nok et annet hotel neste gang. hôtel situé dans beaux quartiers, très bon accueil, très belles chambres (par contre éviter chambre compacte beaucoup trop petite petit lit!!!), petit déjeuner correct même en prix. Bref tout bien!

Hotellets belliggenhed var godt... men det var også kun det eneste.. Hotelllet var lille.. og sengene var virkelige virkelige hårde.. vi kunne simpelthen ikke sove den første nat.. dagen efter gik vi ned i receptionen for at spørge om en ekstra dyne... vi brugte den ene dyne til at ligge på.. men sengen var stadig hård.. og servicen var virkelig ringe.. […] de havde ikke styr på ens reservation.. det tog receptionisten hele 15 min på at finde vores detaljer frem.. de havde nemlig ikke et elektronisk system.. hotellet har fået de mange stjerner kun pga de har en lillle mini bar.. billederne snyder ... såå lad vær med at hoppe på den... de kunne ikke engang bestille en taxa for os da vi checkede ud... men vi hørte at de gjorte det for nogle andre om morgen! dovne personale... Très bon emplacement à 5 minutes à pieds de la station "Gloucester Road" qui se trouve à 5 stations de St Pancras. Commodités à disposition (supermarché, restaurants, Musée Histoire Naturelle....). Chambres un peu petites et mal insonorisées mais si vous êtes côté cours comme nous c'est parfait, il faudra juste composer avec les voisins. Accueil sympa […] mais sans plus. Nous n'avons pas pris le petit déjeuner sur place car très cher. Les restaurants voisins sont bien meilleurs marché, notamment Garfunkel's qui offre une assiette pour une assiette achetée. Jeg anbefaler hotellet til andre selv om oppholdet ikke var det beste denne gang, for det har vært veldig bra tidligere. Frokosten var under middels og veldig dyr, £12 pr pers. Vi handlet herlig frokost til £5 på puber og restauranter etter dette. Rommene var bittesmå, og 2 og 2 menn delte en liten dobbeltseng. Det var bånn i bøtta. Etter å ha bodd på dette hotellet, sitter jeg igjen med et godt inntrykk. Fint og koselig hotel. Fine rom, men litt små og liten plass. Hotellet lå ikke like sentralt som jeg trodde. Litt lengre å gå fra stasjonen til hotellet. Hyggelig personalet. God service. Kunne bodd der igjen. Kan anbefales.

Hotellet er meget centralt beliggende, så det er let at komme overalt i London. Værelserne er små, men pæne og rene, morgenmaden OK - så alt i alt et godt hotel til prisen.
