The room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable, room temperature control fine. The sink drained so slowly I was afraid it would not empty. The double electrical outlet by the refrigerator had only one working outlet so I had to unplug the refrigerator to use the coffee maker. That turned out to be irrelevant asthere was no decaf coffee, anyway, only […] regular. The room door had at least an 1/4 inch space around the bottom half, must make temperature control interesting when it is very col or hot out. Finally, the deadbolt lock on the room door was extremely hard to UNLOCK. I wondered for a bit if I was going to need to ask for assistance to getout the first morning. I did not use it the second day. Office hours were 7:00am to 8:00pm so if you travel late or depart early, I guess you're just out of luck. I didn't rate the complimentary breakfast as I never saw it. It wasn't served until 8:00am, same time I needed to be at the conference I attended. Lesa meira

"Highly Recommended"
Very nice location, surroundings and stay for the cost. The staff is great and very warm. Very nice breakfast too. Would certainly go back to it, if i am visiting Stowe. Beautiful place and stay.
Even though we stayed 1 night my children and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and the view out the back was really nice. My children really enjoyed the pool as well as the hottub. The continental breakfast was pretty good too.

"Great location"
The location of the hotel was beautiful and the town was charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, but outdated. We want to visit the area again, and hope the rooms have been redone. Is great for families. My kids enjoyed the pool and playing in the back near the creek. Our stay was peaceful and very relaxing.

"sweet place & an offseason bargain!"
What a lovely place...building is a little dated but obviously well cared for, and room was very clean. Rooms are spacious; the slightly-fancier two-queen room we stayed in had a mini fridge and a nice big bathroom. The best part, though, is the little patio behind each room that leads to a large, grassy backyard area bordered by a small river, along […] with a gorgeous mountain view. "Excellent Stay"
Booked online because of the ratings from others and I am happy I did. I am from Vermont but my fiance is not. She is very picky about cleanliness so you can imagine my nervousness when opening the door. Very simple but elegant and homey. She loved it. Whew!! True story. Anyways, I must say the staff and room were excellent. Nice breakfast in the morning. […] Yes the pool was open and to our surprise found the hot tub also. Beautiful stream and lawn out back of our porch. King size bed was wonderful. I know because I laid in it and watched the Masters Tournament all day Sunday. We were married on Saturday and the staff surprised us with champagne which was very nice. I will definitely be back. The room is close to anything you want and the best is you cannot beat the price, especially for Stowe. This hotel is a true hidden gem!!!! Lesa meira

Hotel was in a good location to what we wanted to se.Had a nice morning breakfast from 7:30 to 10:00 included in the price.Only thing i did not care for the was the bed was a little to soft for me.Other than that the staff was nice and helpful.

"Clean comfortable motel"
I took my two sons to Stowe for a skiing trip and we wanted an affordable place to stay. Not only was this afforable, it was very comfortable. Our room was small and basic, but the furniture was in good repair and the paint fresh. The room has lots of light with a big window in the frint and a sliding door in the back overlooking a river. The pool area […] was a nice treat, as was the spa. My sons particulary enjoyed the breakfast, which was very good indeed. I liked that we could drive up to the door, and that we were very close to several sotores and restaurants that we could walk to. Although my wife like 4 and 5 star resorts, I think she could make it through a couple of nights at the Sun and Ski Inn as it was fresh and clean. Lesa meira

Nice place to stay for skiing with easy acces to the mountain and more than I expected for breakfast. However the water pipes were unbelievably loud. I'm sure it is hard for them to control this but I couldn't sleep as soon as anyone else in the place was using the water. Wasn't bad since we were aiming for the first lift.
Thank you very much for your kind review! Regarding the noise of the water pipes, we fear you have stayed with us the night a circulator pump serving the heating system broke down. We received a few complaints from guests in the morning, and had the issue fixed that same day. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused you. You can be assured that under normal circumstances your night's sleep at our hotel won't be disturbed by next-door guests taking a shower!

This is our second time staying here while skiing at Stowe. It has all the comforts that you need and the staff/owners are committed to making your stay a great experience. Breakfast's are delicious and the hotel is convenient to the slopes and shops. Loft rooms are terrific for kids.

I rode stowe for 8 days on a budget and LOVED this hotel! nothing special nothing fancy... the staff were very freindly and helpfull close to bars and restaruants the pool and hot tub were great, when i come back next year I'll be staying here again...best bang for your buck in the stowe area

Under new and enthusiastic owner management. Very well located, clean, efficient. Friendly owners and staff. Very good choice for anyone wanting these qualities and not demanding a fancy 5 star hotel. Should be good for all seasons. I would definitely stay there again.

Good convenient location to the resort, great hot tub and pool area, very friendly and helpful staff. overall a very good economic option in a very nice setting that has all the essentials needed for a fun ski trip to Stowe. Will def. consider and recommend for future trips. One issue was that the hotel placed us in the wrong type of room in our first […] night. We arrived after midnight at the hotel and there was no staff to assist with the issue but it was promptly resolved within 10 minutes when we contacted the front desk in the morning. I was the one who processed the reservation and made the mistake. We could only add that you should have called our emergency number, which is listed on our lobby doors and will be answered 24/7; I would definitely have come out of bed to correct the mistake.

Our daughter stayed there alone for the first 3 nights and was taken ill. The staff brought her apple juice and tried their best to be helpful. They provide free internet and a decent breakfast with a choice of cereals, toast, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee. Location is good, close to other attractions.

Loved this hotel, wish we had more time to stay (only stayed 1 night)...Picked this off the website, had no idea what to expect and were very pleased with our experience. Nice staff. Pool was enclosed in a glass building, very nice as we got there early evening and were still able to use. Towels provided at pool. Nice room that included a small patio […] off the back of room. Location is hard to beat. Is by the hills and the river runs literally in the hotel's backyard. Rooms are not updated though - our room sink clogged, the room smelt musty and almost everything needed updating. Beds were clean thankfully. A few more staff might be useful. "HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL IN STOWE"
HOTEL WAS JUST "ALRIGHT". I DID NOT EXPECT MUCH EITHER. IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT TO THE SITE OF THE MAIN REASON WHY WE WENT TO STOWE...FOR THE HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL (JUST WALKED ACROSS THE STREET AND DID NOT DEAL WITH THE PARKING AND TRAFFIC). AT THE BACK OF THE INN IS A GRASSY AREA NEAR A BROOK AND THEY HAVE HAMMOCKS WHERE WE CAN JUST ENJOY THE PLEASANT […] VERMONT SUMMER. THE FREE BREAKFAST WAS DECENT, NOTHING FANCY.
