Very nice hotel for the value. Amazing views of the lake from our room on the 2nd floor. Staff was helpful and friendly. Close to the town centre for dinner, etc.

"Great hotel in good location"
The hotel was good value for money. The only problem was the lack of an in-room safe, but the front desk will keep small items in the hotel safe- they will not be able to store a laptop or net book.

Gorgeous views, free parking, and conveniently located. For those who are older, there is a steep walk up a hill for about 50 yards, but that is what gives you the nice views from the rooms. For anyone where walking up hill a bit (seriously, it isn't that big a concern), I would 100% recommend this hotel, especially since it was priced lower than the […] other hotels availabile for the night when I stayed. Great Hotel! Only problem is the steep incline you have to climb to get to the hotel from town.

"Pity about the scaffolding"
I've given this hotel fairly good reviews although my heart sank as we drove up to find it covered in scaffolding and noisy workmen and I was amazed to find them painting around our door without any warning signs when we came back for lunch. However as its higher on the hill into Queenstown the view of the lake is lovely. "Heatland Hotel queenstown"
Really friendly and helpfull staff made our time there really enjoyable. Bed was really soft but once we asked about it the staff put a board under it which made a huge difference. Great location really close to town there is one small hill to walk up getting back from town which can be a bit painful. Overall great place to stay.

Had a large room that was excellent value for money. Hotel is in central Queenstown so only a couple of minutes to shops/restaurants.
Good location, but short walk up a steep hill from town center might cause problems for those less agile. Rooms ok [2 standard rooms booked] - a few minor faults which were reported [not dealt with - there 2 nights] - 1 room overlooked the road which was noisy, but also had lovely view of the lake.

Really nice and quaint hotel, with super friendly staff that is willing and able to help you with all your needs. They even gave me a bunch of recommends for great restaurants in town. The price is right and for my stay, I was lucky to get a room on the third floor, with a balcony view that overlooked Lake Wakitapu. "Heartland in Queenstown"
The room was a really good size, the staff were friendly and competent. The view from the room was awesome. It was a little noisy as it is on the main road and our room was facing the road but the view made up for the noisy trafic. The hill climb up from town was all the exercise needed for the day. Would definitely stay there again
Many good features, and spacious accomodation. parking can be a little difficult and there is a very steep hill to walk back from the centre of town.
Nice facilities, especially if there are more than 2 people in your party.
Downtown Queenstown and the waterfront are just a few blocks down the hill. Our room had a fridge but no microwave. The hotel sits partway up a hill so we had a nice view of the city from our room. Parking onsite can be somewhat limited, especially if you get in late. The airport is a 15 minute drive away.

This is a lovely choice for people looking to not spend a ton of money, but NOT stay in a backpacker hostel. It's not going to "blow you away" with it's design or it's amenities (I'm pretty sure it doesn't even have a pool or spa tub)... pretty standard really... but we got a great deal on our room and had a wonderful stay. Plus, it's really close to […] the city center. The hill is really big, however - so if you're not able to walk well or you don't want to get a good butt workout... it might not be for you. I'm not sure if they have any sort of van service (as some other hotels at the top of the hill do) into the city center... so you might want to ask. "Heartland Hotel Qtown - super convenient"
Last time I stayed there i was upgraded to an AMAZING room, so this time was a little disappointing to get the room I had actually reserved. No view, bus parked outside the balcony so the view was straight into that and was pretty noisy with people walking past. The room itself was OK, dated but clean. Water pressure in shower was good. A little embarrassed […] as I was travelling with a foreign visitor. Location is the best thing about this place (unless upgraded). Lesa meira
"Roll-together beds are no fun!"
This Hotel is well situated in Queenstown - an easy walk to the centre of town. However, I came away with a memory of 3 things which potential guests should keep in mind: 1. The bed in our room had "roll together" - the two of us constantly ended up lumped together in the middle - and it was quite clearly "up hill" from the center to the outside edge […] of the bed! So we slept apart on one night - just to get some sleep. 2. Finding a park was a lottery - there were insufficient car parks available. 3. Awful coffee and milky eggs at the hotel breakfast buffet. So we dined like kings a short walk away at one of the downtown cafes. Lesa meira

Exactly as expected a good experience and a lovely room.
Hotel is located on a steep hill but very convenient to the city center. And room had a great view of the lake.

The Room was large and comfortable with views of mountains and the lake. I was disturbed at times by clanging of dishes etc. since my bathroom window was very close to the restaurant kitchen. This situation would occur with all xx1, or xx2 rooms.

We loved this hotel! To start, the staff is super helpful and friendly. A porter helped us to our room which had a gorgeous view of Lake Wakitipu. The room itself was very nice size with lots of room for luggage. I really liked that there was a vanity separate from the actual toilet and shower. The water pressure in the shower was great and we never […] ran out of hot water. The fridge was great for snacks we bought at the supermarket, and the TV had about 7ish channels, including 1 movie channel. The bed was comfortable and the temperature of the room was great. We embarassingly fried our adaptor the 1st day, but the staff was so nice about it; they got it fixed right away, and even had an adaptor we could borrow for the remainder of our stay. The hotel was a great location for us...only a short 5-10 minute walk down to the heart of town. Yes, it is up a hill to get back, but it's a short hill, so it's not bad at all. Great exercise for the cookies we ate at cookie time =-) This hotel isn't anything super fancy, but for the price, it's awesome! If you're used to staying in really expensive fancy hotels, this hotel may not be up to your standards, however, for those of us on a budget, it's wonderful! Probably my favorite hotel our of the whole trip (Rotorua and Auckland as well) I would definitely recommend it based on our experience and would stay there again if I'm able to make it back to Queenstown!! Very close to town center but at the top of a steep hill. Accomodation was in Swiss chalet style building with no lift access. Porter available to help with luggage. In-house restaurant reasonably priced compared to in town restaurants and good food we learned that they also did a $10 breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance to all the major attractions in Queenstown. For the price, it is an outstanding value with all the necessary conveniences to make for a comfortable stay at an affordable price. I would highly recommend this hotel as a base to explore the spectaclar Queenstown area.

We arrived in Queenstown after a lovely drive down the west coast. The driveway to the hotel was a little hard to find. We passed it the first time we went by. The hotel staff was friendly. Our hotel room, however, was just okay. The hallway to our room smelled a little funny. The room itself was clean and spacious, but nothing spectacular. I was a […] little disappointed by the breakfast buffet at the hotel. It was not clear from the menu we received what the price of the buffet was. They separated the hot and cold buffet charges on the menu. If I'd known my breakfast would more than double in price because I got toast from the hot buffet table, I wouldn't have gotten it. I don't think I'd stay here again, especially considering how many options there are in Queenstown. I would recommend this hotel to someone who was only going to sleep in the room. Lesa meira

We loved this location & the property. We had a third floor room with a balcony and an amazing view of the lake, mountains and downtown area. Vaulted ceiling in room, well appointed. Just a short walk to the downtown area.

"Convenient and nice"
The location of the hotel is convenient and the rooms are tidy. The slightly steep road of Stanley Street up to the hotel might be a problem for old people and those with knee / leg pain. Other than that, everything is good and some rooms even offer a lake view.

다운타운과 가까운 거리에 있어 밀포드사운드 같은 곳으로 버스를 타기에 좋고 호수도 가까워 여행이 편안합니다. 다만 약간의 언덕이 있어 조금은 힘들었네요.
