Stayed 3 nights. The room was super clean. The breakfast buffet is done very well. the small dining area is very pleasant and has a nice fireplace to enjoy on a cool day.

My daughter goes to Texas State. We frequently travel to San Marcos. I like the Hampton Inn for the cleanliness and location, but don't expect the front desk to be friendly. Barely a hello or good morning and it is sad when you a spending a whole week there and are treated so-so.

We got there at 1:30pm to check-in just to realize check-in wasn't until 3:00pm. We had a wedding that we needed to get ready (shower) and be at no later than 3:00pm. We started to panic a little and then the girl behind the counter said...we have 1 room ready now!!! She saved the day! Clean room, clean sheets! Very pleasant overnight; comfortable bed, nice linens, usual bathroom amenities, fridge and microwave, and complete self-serve breakfast with very good coffee. And free wi-fi.

It was perfect, the room was very clean and comfortable. The free Breakfast was good and easy. Everyone working there was very pleasant. We will use this Hotel again. We have a College student leaving down there.

The hotel is very well kept. The grounds, lobby, and rooms are very well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is also great, and consists of full breakfast items (eggs, sausage/bacon), as well as an assortment of cereals (including hot oatmeal), fruit, and bread items. Everything was great. From check in to rooms to breakfast to check out. If I could change one thing I would have showers in the HC accessible rooms instead of tubs. I could not shower but I had just before I left home so really did not need to anyway. Overall it was practically perfect in every way.

We loved this location and motel. It is close to many eating places and the breakfast is very good with a spacious seating area for hotel guests.

I enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely go back. I made two reservations on two separate days for the same nights stay and thankfully they put my rooms right next door to each other without me even asking them to. It was a wonderful stay and a great breakfast the next morning.

The morning breakfast bags to go are briliant. Staff I interfaced with were all pleasant and very efficient. The only negative, and thiis a nit, is that the elevators were uncomfortably warm. I HAD RESEARCHED ON YOUR WEB SITE THRU ALL OF THE HOTELS LISTED AT FIRST I DID NOT LOOK AT THIS ONE BECAUSE IT WAS OLY RATED 2 1/2 STARS I READ THE REVIEWS OF THE HIGHER RATED HOTELS WHICH WERE NOT GOOD THEN I READ THE REVIEWS FOR THIS ONE AND THEY SOUNDED GREAT! Hotel was very clean. Staff were generally helpful. Rooms were well insulated and noise was minimal. Included breakfast was good (though the coffee is weak!). Pool was well kept.

Once we found the hotel, it was fine. We are very familiar with San Marcos - our son was a student there - but the map instructions were 'off', so we went around the block several times until we realized we were at the wrong exit entirely (there are two exits for Hwy 82 - East and West). The hotel itself is typical Hampton Inn quality - clean, friendly […] staff - consistent and reliable. The staff worked hard to make sure the hotel was clean. I was so amazed how good everything smelled and how clean it was. The complimentary breakfast was GREAT! They had a large variety. And the hotel was close to everything we needed to do. Made it easy not to get lost (even if I didn't have a GPS) . I will stay again!!!

Way overpriced for such a small room. Nothing "suite" about it unless having a refrigerator and a microwave constitutes a "suite". Seen comparable rooms at Econo-Lodge for a third of the price of this hotel. Smoking area at the front door is a turn-off for customers' first impression walking into the hotel.

Hotel is very nice. The room was very comfortable. Location is convenient to interstate, shopping, and restaurants. My only complaint was the desk clerk, both at check-in and check-out....neither even attempted to be friendly. Will stay here again.

We were greeting at check-in with fresh baked cookies after a 2 1/2 drive in from Houston and 4 hours on the river..which was soooo nice! Our 2 rooms were ready on time and our request for the same floor was honored:-) Very quiet, clean, cool and spacious rooms! Breakfast was wonderful with something for everyone! Real eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, […] fresh fruit, wafflle maker, cereal, juices, toast, yogurt, bagels, etc:-) Maid service was great! Our air conditioner didn't work and no one seemed concerned. They sent a repair man up after our second complaint. He woke our sleeping 2 year old because the timing was on his convience. Then the a/c worked properly for 10 minutes and stopped again. Again the only thing they did to help the problem was bring us 1 box fan. Horrible experience!

We chose this hotel because it was close to Texas State University and we were visiting the campus for a tour. The hotel was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly. We will definitely return to this hotel. Great hotel! We will return again.

A comfortable place to stay. Just the desk chair was a bit low to work on a laptop. I could not find a lever to adjust height.

This hotel was nice because it was back off of the highway service road a little, so we did not hear any traffic. There WAS a train that passed nearby a few times a night, but there's not much the hotel can do about that. I love staying here for the great breakfast options, and it's easy access to the highway for the outlet shopping.

We were taking our son for college orientation. We will be traveling several times in the next four yrs to San Marcos and we want to find a reasonable, nice, comfortable place to stay. It was nice!
