Hotel is great, very clean, lovely rooms, great bathroom and great comfy beds. The only thing that I didn't like was the housekeepers in the morning would knock once then come straight in with keys, made me feel very uncomfortable. A horrible smelly little room with rising damp and mould growing in the bathroom. If you need breakfast go early as they do not replace the food and you do not even what to know the eggs are like an hour into service. We did try dinner and sat there for some time(10/15mins) until my wife had to go and find someone and was then told you needed to order […] food at the bar, this is not noted anywhere and made it a little more frustrating as the staff could see us sitting down for food and was just ignored. The service is poor and drinks overpriced and the food microwaved and with nowhere else in walking distance your limited what to do. (Take sandwiches) Just a little more care would have made this review 100% better, like some mildew remover and bleach for the bathroom would have made a the difference, staff that could care a little more about customer service and belter prepared food. The hotel provided excellent value for money, the staff were efficient and friendly, cheaper than the usual budget hotel but much better facilities. I will definitely use Days Hotels again.

Stayed here twice in two weeks for work. Very pleasant and comfortable. It's a shame the hotel was out of complimentary toothpaste and only has two irons left. Other than that, a perfectly nice experience and great value for money.

The title says it all really. No major problems with the room. My one niggle would be that the bathroom was getting a bit tired and could do with a spring clean (new grout & mastic fot example would make it much better). However the major thing was that the heater in the room was only on when we were present, so with snow on the ground we arrived in […] our room to no heating. We overcame the issue and popped out for an hour or so while the room heated up, but I would have expected to turn up to a heated room. other than that no major problems, and a great pub just down the road, they even to "cakeaway"... :-) Lesa meira

Perfect location just of the M1 J40 and just far enough away from it to avoid any noise!staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are what you expect from a budget hotel and nice and clean and comfy. If you do stay here then check out Silkwood Farm pub 2 mins away on the industrial estate.excelent food and HUGH cakes! Staying overnight before a 10k road race the next day it was everything I could have hoped for. The service from the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating while the room was both spacious and spotlessly clean with plenty of amenities ensuring there was nothing I didn't require. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was freezing when i first went in with the heating turned off. Is this really necessary at the end of January? Why not turn it on when they know the room is booked for the night? I put the heating on full but still had to keep my heavy outside coat on for approx 45mins. The bathroom was unbelievably cold and never warmed up even by the following […] morning. The shower gel container was empty in the shower cubicle and it also wasn't very clean. The quilt didn't fit the double bed and had to be doubled over to try and keep me warm. Lesa meira

Stopped for two nights on bitterly cold and snowy days. Room was warm and comfortable. Bar/ Restaurant was however quite cold. The advertised free wifi is only free for two hours but works well and is easy to log into. Checkout was quick and painless The car park is huge and the views from the 4th floor are magnificent.

Ok for the price paid. Mould around shower tray and grout very dicoloured in shower plus broken tile. Decoration of the room appeard to have been done recently; although carpet not changed as paint drips and stains evident on that and paint on some light fittings.

The customer service was awful.The receptionist hardly acknowledged us even though we were the only customers in reception. There was a problem with our booking (not their fault) but they were too busy criticising the booking agent and trying to find out what had gone wrong to deal with us. The service from the night receptionist - David ? was excellent. He was helpful and obliging despite hotels.com not advising the hotel of the booking.Unforutunatley, the television didn't work.

Within easy access of the motorway, this hotel offered a friendly welcome upon arrival and helpful staff. The room was pleasant and clean, and had all the basics needed to provide a comfortable stay. In my opinion it's ideal for short stays and business trips.

Modern reception area, a warm welcome and decent sized room. I stayed in a twin room, which was clean, quite modern and had all the amenities you would expect: tea & coffee making facilities, LCD-TV and even a bath-tub. The room was on the 4th floor at the front of the building (car park side) and I didn't hear the nearby motorway. The one thing I missed […] was the complimentary body lotion etc. There was a combined shampoo/shower gel but nothing else. We had the buffet breakfast but I didn't really think it was good value for money at £7.95 per person. The hot food wasn't very fresh and the scrambled eggs had obviously been microwaved rather than cooked in a frying pan. There was no joghurt to have with cereals, just milk. The toaster burnt the toast no matter what setting was used and dirty dishes remained uncleared on neighbouring tables for a long time. The hotel was what we expected - clean, simple and perfect for a stopover. Overall, good value for money but I wouldn't bother with breakfast next time. Lesa meira

Do not be confused that Days Inn & Days Hotels offer the same services...As a business traveller I have reports to run via a laptop so WI-FI availability in room is a major factor for me. We wetre very happy with the room-the bed was very comfortable and large enabling a good nights sleep. just a couple of pointers. 1. the dispenser in the shower did not work. 2. there were only 3 teabags and 3 coffees supplied,which should surely be either 2 or 4? as there were two of us staying, we had a cup of tea on arrival-then there was only 1 […] teabag for the morning-where it would have been nice to have had another two teabags (one each). We asked the room service lady-who said that it was company policy to have 3 of each in the room-we asked for more to be left and she was completely happy to do this. I was really happy with the room, the staff friendliness etc. Shame that the breakfast was so poor. The hot food looked as though it had been there all night and the cold servery hadn't kept the fruit and yogurts cold, so it was toast, which wasn't really good value for £7.50

The staff were very helpful, although sadly we were told to eat at 6 as there were 70 coming into an arranged do at 7pm, this we did, and we had to wait nearly an hour for our food, and it was not good at all. I wish if they could not cope they had said first.

Not a friendly welcome from the receptionist, but she did seem to be either very busy and was having to work through her break as she was eating at the same time as booking us in. The room was fine and fit for purpose, just disappointed that there was mildew in the shower. Otherwise the room was clean. Duty evening receptionist (supervisor) superior to duty day receptionist (supervisor), she looks tired, he was excellent. Poor condition of the room (even for a smoking room it should be on better shape, it needs to be refurbished). Food (average). Basic hotel, but clean. Marked down cleanliness because of the mildew in the bathroom, otherwise very good. The kettle in my room didn't work and when i asked for a replacement i was told i couldn't have another kettle but i could move room if i wished. Seemed a little bit excessive to me!! So no tea/coffee then :(. Would recommend though.

Does exactly what it should , 1 minute off the M1 , clean plain room , ironing board brought up , great basic cooked breakfast bacon sausage egg , helpful staff , only downside was £9 for a pint and a glass of wine but I suppose given the extremely low room rate they have to make money somewhere....

I stayed here with my husband and son for one night. We were very impressed with the price on booking . We usually spend double per room and so we were not expecting too much.... we were very impressed on how clean bright and modern the hotel is. And the staff very welcoming. Our room was lovely again very clean and welcoming. we all ate the hotel that […] evening and i must say the ham and eggs is the best i have ever had. The children's beds were right next to ours with no space in between so very little floor space. the children's single beds wer very lumpy and we had to ask for spare duvets to smooth out the lumps. room was clean and well kept!

We stop in quite a few of the hotel chains, usually just overnight, and we can honestly say this is the most comfortable and cleanest one we have stopped in !! and was also the cheapest!! would recommend to anyone!
