It was a comfortable and family friendly stay but the Manager was very rude and arrogant.

Had a fantastic stay for five night. Very comfortable and great with the basic cooking facilities. Very helpful staff. Walking distance to town so very convenient. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

I can't comment on any meal offerings as we used the suite's kitchen facilities. The kitchen was well equipped with a gas cook-top, oven, dishwasher and microwave. There was a very good supply and assortment of utensils, saucepans and flatware, all of which was in very good condition (you didn't have to think twice if you really wanted to use it). The […] insuite laundry facilities, complete with detergent, was an added bonus. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped, a short walk into the town centre and very reasonably priced. If there was one thing that I wasn't pleased with it was internet access where we had to buy an number of times cards to access their network. This is a general little peeve about New Zealand hotels/motels in general, though as Garden Suites is not unusual in that respect. I would stay at Garden Suites again and would recommend it to others. Lesa meira

I really like this hotel, room is quite new & clean, the view from window is very nice, and the kitchen has everything you need, it just about 10 minutes walk to town center.

Very good accomodation. Delighted with the space and it was wonderful to have laundry facilities and even a dishwasher.I would definitely reccomend the garden court suite apartments.

A great place to stay, large studio with fantastic lake views. Only 5 mins walk into Queenstown that has all you need for a great holiday.

Friendly helpful staff and great rooms, perfect for all year round visits (including ski season). Flexibility shown to meet our requests. Walking distance to town, overall a great stay.

Hotel was nice. However, our room was next to the street which was very noisy. Ask for room away from road.

Excellent hotel, well located, in easy walking distance from center of town, but away from the noise of the center of town. Good lakeview from some rooms. If possible, ask for a room with a lakeview.

Even though I have rated our whole experience with Garden Court Suites highly, I must warn about the "lake and mountain views" promised when booking. We paid extra for the apartments facing the lake with views. The first room we were given was on the ground floor with a view of a neighbouring roof and trees. I rang to say we booked a room with views […] and was told "this is only on availability and unfortunately no rooms with views were presently available". I explained I could have booked a room closer to town, wtih similiar appointments WITHOUT views at a much cheaper rate. We were then moved up 1 floor with amazing views that we enjoyed very much. Accommodation was great - fantastic views from the balcony and the room was quiet (we were looking out towards Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables). Facilities were good - e.g a dish washer and washing machine. Location is a plus - easy walking distance to town. Very quiet too. We cannot comment on staff as we had little contact with the staff apart from […] checking in and out; both were conducted efficienctly! A couple of negatives and only very MINOR in the scheme of things - difficult to get a queen fitted sheet on a king-bed, and it would be good to have a broom as floors weren't swept every day. The one-bedroomed suite was large, comfortable and very clean. Less than 10 minutes walk to town centre - coming back up a steep hill, which didn't really bother us too much. Full kitchen with dishwasher and there was also a washing machine and dryer in the unit. It was located on ground floor with mountain views and glimpses of the lake. A first floor […] suite would be better for views. When we first checked in, the girl at reception had a very unfriendly manner. My only criticism would be that the bed sheets were not 'crisp' as one would expect in such 1st class accommodation. Overall, an enjoyable stay. Lesa meira

The location of the hotel was excellent close to the town centre. It was fantastic to have a washing machine ,dryer and dishwasher with a family. The cleaniness does need attention though I found the woodern furniture shabby (table & chairs, coffee table box)either needs polishing or replacing. Stayed several nights and floor was not vaccumed everyday. Cleaner […] failed to replace a sheet one night for the sofabed when left out - did not notice until 11.30pm when going to bed The cleaner did not unload the dish washer when servicing room. The bathroom fan was dirty - you can see it when standing in the shower If standards were raised in cleaning I would visit this hotel again Lesa meira

great value for money accommodation. immaculate and modern rooms. hotel easily accessible on the road into the centre of queenstown. helpful staff. only minus point is that they service rooms terribly early in the morning. one morning i left the hotel at 10am and found a bag of clean towels at the door and the room was not serviced for that day.

The stay was wonderful. It was a close walk to the city centre and other surrounding places to check out like the gardens which were just down the road. Also if you didn't have a car, there were bus stops just in front. Great stay. Well worth a check!

The room was spacious and reception was warm. The lights went out but were back on quickly. We were disappointed in the limited TV programx

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were upgraded to the lake view which was tremendous. The quality of the furnishings was good and the appartment a decent size for a one bedroom. Expensive relative to other accomodation in Queenstown. Room was sighted by the main road and consequently there was a lot of road nose from the traffic whhc we weren't warned about Reception was not staffed adequately. Otherwise nice accomodation

This was a very comfortable place to stay. The area was quiet but if you want action, a short walk down the hill is all there is. You can walk comfortably to shopping, the skyline gondola and warf. The bedroom had blackout curtains and the bed was very comfortable. the shower head was great Two things: Spa is inside and was not working The bathroom […] was not well ventilated at all. It took 2 hours of the window open and the fan running to get rid of a thick layer of water on the walls, mirror etc after one shower. Lesa meira

We stayed here for a long weekend and got an excellent rate. Our one bed balcony apartment was as described and as shown in the website photos, and having seen the others which were o.k, it was definitely worth paying the small extra for the fantastic lake view. We were travelling with our young son and had arrived mid morning after an early flight, […] hoping to leave our bags while we wandered into town. The receptionist said she would see if our room was ready, which it was, as it was empty the previous night and allowed us to check in at 9:45am! She gave us a bottle of milk, so we could relax and have a cup of tea which was really appreciated after an early start and gave our toddler a chance for some quite time after the excitment of the airport/plane/bus etc. Overall an excellent stay. Apartment was cleaned, toiletries replaced. Good kitchen with everything we needed and the bus stop was right outside, which was great for catching the bus from the airport direct to the hotel. Hotel is about a five min stroll to town, but there is a bit of a hill on the return journey, but it gives you an excuse for working off dinner or an ice cream by the lake front. We have stayed here before - this stay was as before excellent We do like its location as one can walk into town Lovely views over Lake Wakitipu and the Remarkables. By booking through you we secured a substantial saving as against booking direct! We wonder how this works!!

The hotel was great, the location is excellent, only a 5-8 min. walk to town. The town is a place of activity and it even has a Starbucks. The Hotel is also close to all the must see sights in the area and only 20 min. away from Arrowtown, which is a small gold mining town. The receptionist who greeted us were very welcoming and accommodating during […] our 4 day stay. They provided us with excellent service and directions to the sights. We would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Queenstown, NZ. Lesa meira
