"A nice hotel and very close to the airport."
Our stay at this hotel was great! My wife and i, spent the night before getting back to U.S. there. This hotel it's about 1 mile away from the airport, it allowed us to get some extra sleep and it helped us avoid driving a long distance to the airport in some of the dark and dangerous road of the Dominican Rep. The staff was very helpful and friendly […] and the room was very clean and pleasing. I'm not sure if it was only our room, but the air conditioner was very loud. The only good thing about it was that it was January and it's not hot during that month there. But overall, not a bad place to stay if you want to be close to the airport before leaving the country. Not a tourist spot but much cleaner and less worn than the hotels in the city. Very convenient to the airport. Excellent diverse food and restaurant, staff and overall accommodations. Right next to Las Americas industrial park. True high speed wireless. No other choices in the immediate area and no nearby hot spots for entertainment so the hotel is […] the show. It is quiet here. The sports bar is a place to kick back and relax. The restaurant serves buffet style as well as to order. The food is generally very good, varied international and local cuisine. They do a good job for any travelers and as a stopping point in and out of the airport to other more distant destinations on the island. "Not exactly ideal!"
I know Santo Domingo well. This is the first time we used this hotel due to its proximity to the airport. It is the only one close to airport and thats not good news! No competition means they can do as they please. They do. We asked for Nonsmoking room and we were 3 people travelling. The gave us the keys and them we discovered the entire floor stank […] of cigarete smoke and the room had only 1 double bed! Had to go all the way back to reception which may not have been so bad except we had a months worth of luggage and there are no porters or bell boys or even luggage trolleys. Regarding your comment that you have requested a non smoking room, we should explain that the floor you were assigning to is divided in two sections: smoking and non smoking. That is the reason why you felt the smelling sensation described. 3. Our hotel concept does not offer porters or bellboys services, even do we do offer trolley services. We look forward having you back in the near future and to have the opportunity to serve you again and change that wrong perception of your last visit.

Stayed at the BQ for 3 nights. The open-walled hotel bar faces the street and was very nice; it was a great place to hang out after a hard day's work. The food and drink was VERY reasonably priced compared to similar fare in the U.S (90-110 USD for 4 guys, dinner and lots of ice cold beers). The beds were surprisingly comfortable, although the rooms […] are fairly spartan - no alarm clock in mine and no desk, so I just sat on my bed to use my laptop. There were several restaurants within walking distance, and the Avenida Anocona and Avenida Mirador Sur are easily accessible, making East-West travel pretty easy in traffic that can be a bit of a shock if you are not used to it. "Quality Inn Santo Domingo"
Their shuttle/taxi sevice from the airport was horrendous. I requested a vehicle that would fit 6 passengers and luggage. When I got to the airport the driver wasn't there. We had to call the hotel and then one was sent. When he got there he showed up wit a Camry and tried to stuff us all in withh luggage and all- wasn't happening. After my several […] threats from my wife they sent a beat up mini-van and we finally made it to the hotel. After we got to the hotel the staff was friendly and we ordered room service. The food was digestable but nothing to rave about and it was a bit expensive for what we were served. I would use this hotel again because how close it was to the airport but I would just get a cab from the airport and not use their shuttle service. "Clean room, great bed, super breakfast"
Clean, everything looks fairly new, nice location close to airport. Great breakfast buffet way beyond expectations. Guarded 24 hrs parking gate. Wireless internet access too tightly controlled. Arrived into a hot humid room, A/C takes 2 hours to cool the room. Next day arrived to same thing after a hot day out working or touring I wanted to arrive at […] a cool room. Great staff. I think they should turn ON the AC before a guest arrival or at least keep the room cool for my second day there. Great location if wanting to stay near airport for a 6 AM flight out. "Too expensive for what you get"
I would recommend finding a different hotel. We chose it because of the nearness to the airport but the customer service was bad, the room smelled gross, and it was not very comfortable. Referente a sus comentarios relativos a la humedad, para minimizar el impacto de nuestra proximidad al mar y evitar esa sensación, hemos adquirido accesorios ( saquetos ) anti humedad, y con relación a la unidad de aire acondicionado de la habitación en la que pernoctó la misma fue cambiada. En referencia a su apreciación sobre la lencería de la cama, hemos tomado su señalamiento como un punto de capacitación y mejora para nuestras camaristas. Referente a su observación de picadura de algún insecto, hemos revisado minuciosamente la habitación y encontramos ningún indicio o elemento que pudiese causar la picadura, le reitero el total control preventivo de plagas, alimañas e insectos en nuestra propiedad por empresas especializadas en la rama. Espero nos otorgue la oportunidad de poder servirle en un futuro inmediato y mejorar su percepción sobre la calidad de los servicios que ofrecemos.

Un hotel d'excellente tenue (genre Mercure, Sofitel#. Très près de l'aéroport, au bord de l'autouroute, mais qui n'en permet pas l'accès !!! Il faut prendre une rue parallèle ... Pas évident quand on débarque de nuit, avec une voiture de location. Accueil et personnel charmants et très attentionnés.
