Very nice rooms, we paid extra for the revamped rooms. They come with everything no deposits for kettles, toasters etc.. Very nice proper hotel 3 mins walk to beach, very well kept pool, bar, and restaurant areas. Looks old from the outside but beautifully refurbished inside. Extra for pool view a bit steep when we already paid an extra for the new […] rooms. We stayed for a week in a self catering hotel apartment. Room very clean. No major negatives at all but if you wanted to be really picky, the power shower overflowed slightly so big drops of water came down on a very small area of the shower and one mattress was slightly uncomfortable. The hotel itself was well located, alcudia is a quiet town but has […] everything you need. There are loads of pools and activities at the hotel if you want to do any of that. We had a studio apartment which was ok but the only seating to eat was the plastic table and chairs outside. Ok in summer but when the weather is turning we ended up eating sat on our bed one night when the weather was a bit chilly. Kitchen was well equipped, and room was comfortable, but if we were self catering again it's definitely worth getting […] a 1 bed apartment just for somewhere other than your bed to eat! The trouble was not so much lack of space but they make the apartments suitable for a third person so a 1 person Sofabed takes the place of a couple of chairs and a small table. That would really be my only complaint. Staff were always pleasant and very helpful and this hotel caters really well for cyclists too with a good hire facility and storage. When we arrived,we were very impressed with the Viva Tropic. The check-in staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was very well appointed with all we could need for a weeks SC. However the bathroom door was a sliding door affair and just slid across the doorway leaving a 10cm gap all around the door. Not very private and definitively not […] 4 star! The entertainment seemed to be enjoyed by everyone. I did not eat here but my wife did one night and she enjoyed her meal. Food was very nice and staff very attentive What made me pick this hotel was the adult only pool. This looked like an oasis of bliss in the pictures. When we got there although is was very nice, it was right next to the children's splash pool.Not very peaceful and again not 4 star. We needed to use the internet while we were there and there was only pay-per use computers in the lobby(4 star?). Wi-Fi was painfully slow and when I asked about printing some documents I was told I had to convert them to pdf, e-mail them to the hotel and they would print them out...not acceptable in my view in 2012,again this is not 4 star. So would we stay here again? I'm afraid not, which is a shame,because it is a nice hotel but was let down by a few simple things. Lesa meira

Lovely spot in Port d'Alcudia. Minutes from the beach and the Port. Plus easy walk to Old Town. The hotel was lovely. 3 nice outdoor pools plus one indoor, Spa, lovely grounds and walkways. We were travelling with a baby and the hotel was very family friendly. Pretty much everyone had kids, although it would have been fine for couples too as there is […] an adults only pool and plenty of ways to get away from the kids if you want to! We had a Studio apartment. Bear in mind Expedia doesn't offer you the Studio if you include an infant in your booking, however the hotel allows it so just book 2 adults and email the hotel separately informing them you are bringing an infant. We took our own equipment but they do also have travel cots for hire and buggies/highchairs for extra cost. Room was nice. All are twin beds pushed together. We were a bit worried as our baby often joins us in bed but they were sturdy and no risk of them coming apart in the middle. Not the most comfy beds I've ever slept in but fine. Lovely terrace to sit out on in the mornings and evenings. Kitchenette area small but handy for a baby. We used the micro, fridge plus kettle and toaster in the morning. Plus there are wine glasses, bottle openers etc. Minor points - kettle stopped working and some electric points didn't work. Wouldn't recommend all inclusive personally as lovely restaurants around. Also dinner finishes at 8.30!! Way too early! Also hire a car - cheaper than a taxi return to airport. Lesa meira

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for our summer holiday at the beginning of september and we had a great time! Super design and decorated hotel(flowers, plants, little fountains, furniture etc), nice swimming pools, nice food, activities for those who want to, tennis, table tennis, crazy golf, pool etc. We rented a very nice little studio and […] everything we might need was included. We had a wonderful time and trusted the good reviews we read ourselves before we booked. The only "negatives" which came back in reviews we read and in ours today is that you are woken up by kids screaming in the corridors at 9am or so because of the bad parenting of certain people...The second one is that we had single beds next to each other. It didn't kill us but it would have been better to sleep together but it didn't stop us from enjoying all the positives. It is worth going even though you have those 2little downsides! We stayed in the hotel for a week in April 2012. We had booked a studio, but on arrival were upgraded to an apartment. We did not eat in the hotel, either preparing our own food or eating in local restaurants. We cannot therefore comment on the catering, but the additional cost of about 14 Euros for breakfast seemed expensive. This is a good hotel and has lots of facilities ie Spa; lots of pools including an indoor and Adult only pool. Our room was very nice and had even got a one bedroom garden room rather than a Studio which we had booked. The only slight problem was that there was a musty smell but after a day so we got used to it. My biggest critism of the hotel is the […] pools; the lack of space around them and the number of beds. The family pool is also very noisy as it was august so there was lots of Families and entertainment going on. Also the amount of noise around the adult "relax" pool as it was siutated next to the childrens play area & water slide pool and in front of the Tennis/Basket ball/Volley ball/ Football court! So not much relaxtion - if you dont have children travelling with you and you are looking for a bit of relaxtion and chill out I would reccomend that you stay at their sister hotel the Viva Vanity Golf - this is also a lovely hotel. The staff and service is very good at the hotel but they could do with better system for monitoring the pools as there is one and other people use the hotel pools that are not even staying at the hotel. We could not get a bed at all around the main pool and the Adult pool has limited beds so it is also difficult. The beds at the adult relax pool are very comfy and some are always in the shade but as I say other people use them. We were lucky in the fact that we had a garden room so we could sunbath at our apartment which also had lovely comfortable cushined beds. Overall though this is a very nice hotel. Lesa meira

The hotell fulfilled our expectations.A little bit better than average. But if you want to have big pool areas where you have plenty of space to enjoy this is not the place. The pool was overcrowded. the sunbeds were in an area that is to small. Most of the other things were alright!

We stayed at the Viva Tropic for 4 nights over the Easter/ May Bank holiday week and overall it was a very pleasant stay. However we were a group of 6 adults and found that the hotel was very geared towards families with young children. There was a separate adults pool but it was situated directly next to the childrens pool so was very noisy and not […] very relaxing. Also their was not separate childrens entertainment area so it was impossible to relax in the lounge after dinner - as it was like being in a childrens creche. The hotel was a street or two away from the beach but it was a very short easy walk to the beach and the promenade. We ate at the dinner buffet two evenings and it had a good selection available but it did seem to cater more for German guests. It was a very clean hotel with lovely grounds and gardens but if I had a choice I would stay at one of the other hotels in the Viva chain that caters mainly for adults unless I was travelling with children in which case I would recommend the Viva Tropic. Hotel- Rooms are comfortable and very clean. They have flat screen TV's with two English speaking channels. The bathroon was fantastic with a walk in, monsoon shower (best shower I have ever had). The over 18 pool area is luxurious with comfortable double beds for sunbathing on and relaxing music playing. Food- The breakfast is great. There is a wide […] selection including pancakes, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, diff breads, fried, boiled and scrambled eggs, croissants, fruit and more. The dinners were good too, there was a good selection of food with lots of variety and meats being fried at the buffet. Location of the hotel- Very close to a fantastic, white sand beach. The beach was very quiet in April and absolutely beautiful. Also close to Alcudia old town which has lots of character and is a beautiful place to have lunch. Area directly around the hotel is a bit run down and tacky but it didn't affect our enjoyment as we felt safe walking in the area, just wasn't to our taste. Trips- We went to Puerto Pollenca and walked along the pine walk and we went to Pollenca Town and walked up the Calvari steps which, was the highlight of our break. We also went to Palma but I wouldn't recommend this, it was a bit of a dump to be honest. Don't rely on the buses, they are awful! Weather - good in April only one over cast day. I would recommnend this hotel to anyone considering Alcudia. We walked past the Alcudia Garden Hotel and that looked horrible, so glad we booked the tropic! Lesa meira

Hotel war super, vor allem die Kochgelegenheit. Die Restaurants and Supermärkte sind viel zu überteuert, deshalb ist es schön, sich Mahlzeiten selbst zubereiten zu können. Fint rum, bra badrum, bra cykelrum, bra läge i förhållande till restauranger, lungt läge med nästan ingen trafik. Enda nackdelen vi märkte av är att det var ganska dålig ljudisolering både mot korridoren och ut mot gatan. Men helhetsintrycket var väldigt bra.

Als Kurierfahrer bereise ich Mallorca öfter auch ausserhalb der Saison mit meinem eigenen Mercedes Sprinter & Anhänger. Daher war mir ein Hotel wichtig, bei dem auch die Lage ein Parken von Anhänger & Transporter zulässt. Dies war hier auf einer Freifläche schräg gegenüber vom Hotel problemlos möglich. Das Haus selbst war mit allem erdenklichen Komfort […] ausgestattet: Gratis WLAN in Lobby und im Zimmer, Innenpool (wir hatten ja Anfang Februar!), Supermarkt mit relativ angenehmen Preisen, Restaurant usw. . Die Gesamtaustattung ist als hochwertig zu bezeichnen. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Kochnische und Dusche sowie großem Balkon mit Sitzgelegenheiten und Tisch in der 5 Etage, welches über einen der 3 Aufzüge schnell erreichbar war. Durch das schräg zum Meer hin gebaute Haus, hatte ich einerseits Meerblick, anderseits aber auch Sicht auf die Berge und teilweise auf den Innenhof mit Animations- & Liegeflächen und dem Aussenpool. Die Kochnische war völlig aussreichend mit Geschirr (picobello sauber!), Pfanne, Töpfen, Kühlschrank, Microwelle, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster ausgestattet. Das Doppelbett verfügte über eine sehr angenehme Matratze, sicherlich auch der deutlich gehobenen Preisklasse, denn so gut liege ich selbst zuhause nicht! Das will schon was heisen. Utmärkt hotell för en barnfamilj. Barnen gillade underhållningen på kvällarna och poolerna var bra, men tyvärr lite kalla i oktober. Se till att ni får ett rum in mot poolområdet för mot gatan är det lite mycket ljud framförallt tidigt på morgonen. Bra med en liten butik på hotellet. Er stort sett veldig fornøyd med det 2 uker lange oppholdet. Har imidlertid noen negative punkter: Veldig lytt, spesiellt støy fra gangen, harde madrasser i sengene og altfor kaldt vann i utendørs bassengene. Kellnerene var heller ikke veldig villig til å selge de billigste flaskene med vin/prosecco, da fikk man beskjed om at det var utsolgt eller at […] de ikke hadde. Ved å selv gå i baren fikk man derimot bestilt !!??!!?? Men er til tross for disse punktene meget fornøyd og barna storkoste seg gjennom hele oppholdet Lesa meira

Fantastiske faciliteter til børn! Vores datter var helt vild med børnedisko og der var gode muligheder for at lege med andre børn i børnepoolen.Samtidig nød vi voksne, at der også var en voksenpool, med god plads til at svømme. Det kunne være dejligt, hvis vandet i poolsene var lidt varmere og vi kunne have ønsket os at WIFI fungerede på hele hotellets […] område, men ellers var vi fuldt ud tilfredse... Lesa meira

Sengene var desværre super ringe.. så man sov dårligt, og vågnede med halv ondt i ryggen.. Ellers et super sted. Lækker pool, trænings faciliteterne var lidt møjsommelige men ok.. Ville anbefale stedet til andre.

Vi hadde et fint opphold på hotellet. Restauranten serverer god og rimelig mat. NB! Det er noe støyende inne i spisesalen hvor all inclusive gjestene spiser (mye folk på en gang). Spis heller a la carte!!! Fine basseng og utearealer, rommene er også bra. Renholdet av hele anlegget opplevde vi som bra. Det var veldig flinke guider som underholdt og lekte […] med barna, fin underholdning for store og små på kveldstid. NB! Etter mange år på Sunnving Resort Alcudia ville vi prøve noe annet. Flott hotell med fantastisk mange aktiviteter for barn i alle aldre. Litt lite bassengområde for så mange rom er det eneste "negative" vi opplevde. Vi oppgraderte til rom i 5etg med stor takterasse og egen jacuzzi. Vi var en familie på fem som reiste hit for tredje gang. Det sier vel det meste om at vi liker oss her;-) Forskjellen denne gang var at vi hadde booket hotellet utenom reiseoperatør. Vi kom denne gang i hovedbygningen. Her var rommene flotte og vi fikk en flott sevice. Hotellanlegget har flotte basseng for enhver smak. Det som er litt dumt er at veldig […] mange reserverer solsenger uten å bruke dem. Det hender at hotellet kaster vekk håndklene til de som ikke er der, men dette er fryktlig irriterende for mange. Ellers ligger anlegget nær havnen hvor det skjer endel om kveldene. Ikke langt fra ligger det også en butikk hvor du kan gjøre innkjøpene litt billigere - halvparten i pris av hva det koster å handle i supermarkedet som ligger på hotellområdet. Vi var en uge på Hotel Viva i højsæsonen i juli måned og vi var meget tilfredse med vores ophold. Hotellet er af høj kvalitet med gode og velholdte værelser og høj standard af renlighed. Det er super børnevenligt og underholdningen om aftenen er af særdeles høj kvaliet. Meget imponerende og lige noget for vores piger på 6 og 9 år. Vi spiste kun på hotellet […] en enkelt gang, og var ikke tilfredse med maden - men det er nemt at finde gode restauranter i Alcudia by, som ligger 5 minutters gang fra hotellet. Området omkring poolen er meget smalt og liggestolene er tæt placeret. Til gengæld er der masser af plads på de omkringliggende strande. Viva Tropic får vores allerbedst anbefaling - vi kommer gerne igen :-) Lesa meira

Topp hotell for småbarnfamilier med bassenger som hadde alt + litt til.Hotellet kan anbefales for småbarnfamilier men for voksne hadde vi funnet et annet hotell som hadde hvert mer tilpasset for voksne.Kunne blitt toppskår på alle punkter dersom betjeningen hadde hvert litt mer smilende.Mangler også litt på kvaliteten på maten som var smakløs.

Oppholdet var topp, bra rom, god service og fint uteområde. Aircondition kunne fungert bedre. Stelte egen frokost, spiste middag på flere gode restauranter i nærområdet. Syklet litt, kunne vært bedre tilrettelagt med sykkelstier. Koselig i gamlebyen!!

The hotell was big and the apartments were very nice! Quite modern modern decoration and with a big balcony and nice toilets. Close to the bus that goes to Palma. 5 min walk to the beach. There are pretty ok restaurants just around the corner and also a supermarket. Taxi from airport to hotell is about 80 euro. Otherwise take the taxi to palma from […] airport for 15 euro and then the bus for about 5 euro to palma. A really good hotell! The only bad thing is that the wifi only works in the lobby, but the lobby was big and beutiful so we didnt mind. :) Lesa meira
