Going to Bangkok as two semi-budget travelers, we didn't consider this as cheap, but as many hostels were of the same price range, we decided to take the hotel, mostly for the chance of a good bed, more security and proximity to Khao San Road. Apart from the WiFi being a bit shaky (but to same level as many other hotels in South East Asia) and dirty slippers in the bathroom, everything was pretty much sufficient to our standards. The bed was comfortable enough, the hotel staff was friendly and more than ready to help with anything, a convenience store was in the same street and also an Internet Cafe. No problem finding it coming from Khao San Road, going up the street from KSR (western end), the hotel being placed on the opposite bank of the next canal - merely a five minute walk. Only downside was, being a backpacker, we missed staying with all the other backpackers on Khao San Road, but returned anyway for a second stay a week later, equally as enjoyable.

Nice staff - skytrain is just 3 mins away, so the location is solid. Breakfast was just fine. Good price. So, I'm pretty happy after that one night stay.

Great value for money. Free upgraded to an exclusive 2 beedroom suite. Super nice breakfast, pool and fitness center. Approx. 5 minutes walt to BTS-station.

Stayed here for six nights in January on business. Was our second stay in a year. This time we were in the Lebua at State Tower, last time we were in Tower Club. Tower Club is better for business it is closer to the business centre. We did have some isues with the wireless internet on ocassions. Service at the hotel is very good, if a little over-bearing […] at times. Suites very good as they are very spacious. Location is good, 5-10 minute walk to the Skytrain at Taksin Bridge/the river boats but a bit of a trek from Sukhumvit, the other business area o Bangkok. "Amazing Hotel"
This is a great hotel! We had two rooms booked and both got upgraded to 2 bedroom suites. The location is convenient and staff is really nice. The breakfast is yummy! Do check out Sirocco, very romantic and best night view of Bangkok.

Outstanding river view; excellent room accoutrements; wonderful breakfast; pricey but breathtaking skybar; excellent and friendly staff; good pool and training facility; close to major transportation; The taxi and tour drivers in front of the hotel can be pushy - a small price to pay for a true five star feeling

Everything was much better than we expected. The service, friendly and welcoming, the quality of the room, excellent and the rooftop, better than we could have imagined. Even the breakfast buffet which was included in the price was good. Not amazing but great variety of food and a great start to the day. Only issue was the location. Not at all in […] any action and nothing much surrounding but convenient to get around by taxi or sky train. Great place to stay and would do so again. Have dinner atop the rooftop. "Beautiful hotel but location could be better"
stayed two nights. Excellent service. Room with the river view was gorgeous. Great staff, well equipped gym. Pool could be nicer. Breakfast buffet was good too. Only gripe was the location. Getting a cab in the afternoon was easy but the route out to the main road was terrible if it was peak hour. We stayed at Lebua last week, January 2012. We are two young couples from Canada new to Bangkok. Both couples rooms were upgraded. We stayed on floors 54 & 55. The views were out of this world, and breakfast was spectacular. Best buffet breakfast, with cooks available to prepare awesome food choices. Rooms were large and quiet. Be aware that there is […] brief elevator wait times, due to the height of the building (very minimal). The hotel gets busy at night, with outside guests coming to visit the popular rooftop bar Skybar. This hotel appears to be well known and all cab drivers knew where it was. All around very nice hotel and service - pool was closed 2 out of the 3 days we were there due to maintenance. Breakfast is excellent. Elevators can be very slow.

First- The Lebua had the best breakfast buffet I have EVER seen in a hotel. It had a great variety day to day, most of the food was made from scratch, and everything tasted amazing! We also ate lunch in the Cafe Mozu, which was delicious and only semi overpriced- lunch ran us about $70 USD. We also had one dinner at Sirocco, which was the cheapest of […] the nice restaurants there in the tower. While the food at Sirocco was fantastic, and the view was amazing- a dinner for 2 with 2 apps, 2 entrees, one bottle of wine, and 2 desserts with a glass of dessert wine each totalled $450 USD. Was it worth it? No, I don't think so- There is amazing food all over the city for much more reasonable prices, no need to break the bank just for great views. Second, The hotel itself was very nice- marble everywhere, the hotel rooms were huge, and the staff was very accomodating. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was very convenient. Wonderful hotel, just out of the way from the hussle and bussle which is good! Rooms were pretty fantastic, the view over the river is stunning too. Breakfast was incredible offering most cuisines, overlooking the pool and the city too! The only flaw was that our power went down in our room when we returned at 2am and we were asked to wait in the hall […] for an hour - we got a complimentary drink on the sky bar as compensation which is not really enough but at least it was something! we have stayed in this hotel for one night only. This hotel has a fantastic view, 2 panoramic restourants (a little bit expensive, but it is really worth visiting!!!) + skybar on the 63rd floor. The room on the 21th floor with the river view was quite good, but evething was a little bit old there... The breakfast was very good anf the staff was very […] helpful. I would reccomend this hotel for the short visits to Bangkok; staying there more than 1-2 nights doesn't have sence, because of the location (far away from the main tourist attractions). Lesa meira

This is the best hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. We were on our honeymoon and stayed in a riverview balcony room. The room was very spacious, and the view was great (interesting to watch the boats down on the river and the lights at night). The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle service to the nearest airtrain […] station and a service to/from the airport (there is a charge, but, if you are arriving at the airport really late or really early, it is worth considering). The breakfast offers diverse options and is delicious, and there are numerous restaurants within the building. It is in easy walking distance of the airtrain system and river boats, and at night there are nearby street markets where the locals go (good for seeing the real culture). Lesa meira

Great hotel. Good service from friendly staff. In china town, near central pier. Take the river boats for sightseeing. Not many resturants in area at night. however very nice upmarket hotel resturant and skybar(from hangover II).
"Great place to stay"
I lived in Thailand for a few months a couple of years ago. I knew I wanted to stay here as I'd heard good things. It completely lived up to my expectations. I highly recommend it. While the restaurants are all very good, they are quite pricey. If I were to go again, Id get a drink at the sky bar and then move on to somewhere else for dinner.

I was recently at Lebua as part of a SE Asia holiday and have to say that the service and quality are the best I've experienced to date. Not only are the rooms themselves top quality, we received a complimentary upgrade, the buffet breakfast was superb and the view from the Sky Bar on the rooftop is something to behold. Can't fault it.

Second time stay at Lebua at State, the reason to come back is because their service from last time. Booking thro Hotels.com again for 3 rooms x 4 nights again this time for the river-view room. The lady taking care of me during check-in was NO Smiling, I ask her if I can get the up-grade to the high floor as my last time. She come back to me and said […] up-graded us to the Higher Floor, but we cannot enjoy the Tower Club because of the Tower Club was full. I don’t understand what was full in the Tower Club. One of the reason that we stay again was because of the free drinks in the Tower Club we can enjoy in afternoon. All of us was unhappy, but we cannot said anything. The Breakfast still good, but No my favor Salmon now. The Bvlgavi washing and skin care item was gone and replaced by the Lebua brand. Most of the staff are not smiling to customer. They give me one hour from the late check out only, I was informed the Coca Cola and other soft drinks in my room have to charge, as I can remember that last time was free. I don’t argue and of course I pay my one can Coca Cola, but there’s NO price list in the mini bar, and I think it should complimentary as the tea and coffee in my room. Again, I will never come back to this hotel and not recommended to people. At this 5 star pricing, I believe we can find much better hotel than Lebua. P.S. A friend recommended Lebua to us. It was absolutely first class. The suite, the bathroom, the bed, the view, the service in the restaurant - just perfect. I will recommend this hotel to everybody. And sometimes - like in our case - you get really good offers, extremely good value for money

This hotel was obviously built as condos. Our two bedroom, two bath suite was luxurious with drop-dead views from 4 different balconies. The fitness center was more than adequate for the number of people (very few) who were using it. The included breakfast was amazing.

We stayed for 3 nights and I have to say that compared to 5 star hotels in Europe this have to be a 7 star property We stayed on the 55 floor and have been upgraded not once but 3 times so lived in a suite, bigger than my apartment. Staff very helpful and to be honest nothing to complain about. Me and my friend stayed there for 2 nights in Nov. We got in at 6 am but still got our rooms straight away! very good service from the reception staff! Rooms are big and very good stocked with a small kitchenette and large fridge full of sodas etc. Huuge bed with good linen. The view was as expected from the 55 floor exeptionally good from the balcony! Must […] say that all was as good as it could get! "Great Bar and Great View"
this hotel should be the greatest view hotel in Bangkok. The Bar is the best. But they do not allow you to take the photos in some places which is the best view... My wife and I are really enjoy the drink at the sky bar. It is great but a bit expensive. Overall, the hotel is great. The room has great view and the bathroom is clean and nice.

The hotel, the people, the service, the room/suite, the overall quality and experience excellent - BUT I was very disappointed by the food experience in the Breeze restaurant on the 51st floor. (6th Nov 2011) I was expecting exceptional food and was presented with mediocre at a very high price. During my stay in Bangkok I tried all sorts of restaurants […] (all Thai) from the street cafe type up to the Lebua Breeze. The quality and taste of the food in the common street cafes was, in my view, better and by far superior value for money. (cost multiplier for equivalent meal Bangkok street cafe to Lebua - approx 20 times as expensive,) The views and the service are spectacular at the Lebua Breeze restaurant - but dont go to be impressed by the food or the value. We were there for our anniversary and the dined at Breeze (which was exceptional), the kitchen sent out a complimentary desert with 'Happy anniversary' written in chocolate decoration - magnificent.
