This is a nice place, great location (3 minutes it the beach), and was really well priced compared to others in the neighborhood. It wasn't a fancy decor, but it was clean and comfy. I booked the king suite. It had an oil space heater for warmth (April visit), which seemed a bit strange, but it was actually really nice compared to the usual noisy in-room […] heaters. The pillows were too thin for me and the carpet in the room was old and worn out. Though, there were signs that they were renovating. Could be they hadn’t gotten to the room I was in. Both the day and night staff were very friendly.

We had an enormous room with kitchenette, and could have run an exercise class in the middle of the floor. The ceilings could have done with painting, and the decor was a bit bland, but it was a comfortable night. To our delight the Lodge shares a parking lot with a tavern, so we had a good evening without having to drive anywhere.

We had never stayed there before so we thought we'd give it a try!! We were pleasantly surprised with size of room and cleanliness. The front desk staff was very helpful. will surely go back. Enjoyed our stay!!

We had to move out of the room the first night when the heating system started making loud noises. The breakfast selection was poor so we ate out. The bathroom door would not close. I was suprised how nice it was and the prices were very good. I went to the Cape for a Wedding and other family members stayed there too and they were very pleased with everything, as well.

We stayed here before running a race in Falmouth. The service was fine. The room was clean. Our suite had windows to the pool area, and guests in the pool area were, unfortunately, loud till late at night. So we had trouble sleeping. The rate was fine but a bit high for the quality of the bed/sheets/towels.

I don't much care if a hotel is dated, and this one is. However, it was by far the cleanest hotels i have even been in, even cleaner than some 5 Star hotels where I've stayed. The rooms were HUGE!! the restaurant next door wonderful. The only thing that I can find fault with is that the indoor pool was so heavily chlorinated that we were unable to stay […] in for more than 15 minutes- and the pool was something my kids looked forward to the most. So glad we picked Sandwich Lodge and Resort! We had a wedding in Bourn, MA. I still needed to buy a card and get my hair done. A huge shopping center was directly across the street so I was easily able to get my card, and a smaller shopping center was behind that and I was able to get my hair done, all within 1 mi from our hotel, not to mention all […] the great sites there were and restaurants within minutes. Hotel room was large but laid out poorly, with very plain decor, small TV. Looked somewhat like a prison or hospital room.

Would not stay again. I think there is one factory on Cape Cod and it seems to be right across the street. One electrical outlet and it was hidden behind the desk. Poor lighting. Shower curtain too close, could not shower without constant contact. No elevator. No wifi in the room.

The room we were given had a strong musty smell that stayed thru our stay of 2 nights. The decor was depressing...bathroom door didn't even shut properly. The pool and jacuzzi were terrific, but overall, I was not impressed with my stay...

Inn very well maintained and owners and staff very nice and helpful. Owners are hands on taking care of property and the delicious complimentary continental breakfast was very special. Rooms are clean and the BIGGEST I have ever seen. Location was convenient and easy to find. Stay was enjoyable.

When we checked in we were given a pet friendly room. (We did not have a pet with us, and had not asked for this type of room.). The room was very clean but smelled of animals. We asked to change rooms. The clerk did not seemed surprised about the smell and said, Yes it's been very damp this week.". We were offered a suite but had to pay a $22 a night […] upgrade fee. The suit was clean and comfortable (great bed), but didn't seem completely furnished. Our stay was pleasant enough but I didn't think we should have been charged the upgrade fee. Lesa meira

A lovely clean hotel in a beautiful part of Cape Cod, close to beaches and Sandwich village. It was just the plumbing that let it down, as when other guests have a shower etc it sounds like they're in your room and the noise overwhelms the TV.

No elevator! Dark, poor bed mattress. Would not stay there again. No one over 60 should stay above 1st floor.

we were travelling with our elderly parents, who needed handicapped accessibility and the room they gave them delived on all counts. the room was large and easy to move about in, and the bathroom was perfect for them. The tub was large with a built in seat and lots of grab bars, and the toilet was a good height. hats off to the staff! the only knock […] on the room was that it was not easy to open a window and refresh the room, so it had a stale smell. other than that it made travelling with our folks very easy. I had an inside room facing the indoor pool, so although I had a 'balcony porch' the chlorine and humidity made it unpleasant to be out on. The room was roomy and clean, but the lighting was limited and due to its location the room was either stuffy or had a chlorine tinged smell. Breakfast was low end continental - no yogurt or fresh fruit, other than […] an apple. The location is nice and the people were friendly. Would be good for a family outing, possibly with all the things to do, and I suspect other rooms were better situated with better views. Having to carry suitcases up stairs was not ideal, no elevator. Also, although there is a coffee maker in the hospitality room on first floor, there are no coffee machines in rooms, but there was a microwave and refrigerator in my room. It was also the last one available within a fifty mile radius that nite... so I was grateful to have a non-smoking room of any type. Lesa meira

This hotel was fine for an overnight stay, which fit our needs, but the wireless didn't work on anything but our laptop (no andriod or ipad access) and there wasn't much help from the staff when we mentioned it to them--they just shrugged their shoulders. The other problem was the walls were very thin. We heard someone sneeze and my husband thought […] it was me because it sounded like it was in the room. Otherwise the hotel was fine--it's a bit shabby but clean, and the kitchen facilities in the room (microwave, fridge, sink) were convenient. I found the hotel to be very quaint and quiet. I didn't really have time to explore the area or enjoy the hotel amenities as I only spent one night there, but I'd definitely go back again.

Good location, nice staff but a bit shabby and run down. Carpet in our room was rather 'icky'. Breakfast was standard continental fare but plentiful. I think we'd try somewhere ls next time we're in the area.

Old place in need of scrubbing, paint, capeting, etc. Electricity went out at 6 a.m. Amd manager chose the front of our room to talk to inquiring guests. No consideration for us. The lobby was so ahbby abd poorly lit we opted to ignore the free breakfast and move out, fast.

Once found we were very pleased with the hotel. Directions given were not easy to follow and when we tried to ring to ask for more precise details couldn't get past the automated service. Was dark by time we eventually arrived so even more difficult to find.

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to book this hotel, but decided to go with it... no regrets. As the other users wrote, it's definitely not new but we enjoyed it a lot. You get what you pay for and for this price it was a great stay in one of the jaccuzzi room. Here are a few details. A LOT of space, we were travelling with a baby so a small […] room tends to get crowded easily with all the stuff (car seat, pack and play, etc.). The room and the jaccuzzi area were clean although not new. The room had a balcony but it was indoors overlooking the indoor pool, it was rather too hot to hang out on the balcony as the pool was heated and there was a hot tub right underneath but I think it's a nice feature anyways. Two pools, outdoor and indoor, very clean, but didn't use the outdoor one as it was too cold. Hot tub very nice, but that's true, nobody really pays attention if kids go in the hot tub so it may be crowded with kids if you happen to be staying at the same time as a group of kids (as we were). The pools are open until 10 pm though. Shaws is accross the street so you may need to stock up the fridge. As above, if there is a group of kids staying there at the same time as you, I wouldn't count on breakfast unless you go there really early. Coffee and tea is available 24/7 which is nice. Staff is really nice and they will tell you what to do in the area and what restaurants are good. Next door pub offers a discount for hotel guests. Lesa meira

Reserved room with two queen beds and asked for a cot. There were three of us. When I reserved the room through Expedia it defaulted to two adults. I couldn't figure out how to change it to three adults but didn't really think it was a big deal because I had asked for a cot and assumed they would figure it out. I never intended to try and seek in another […] adult without paying but that was what the desk clerk inferred to my son when he went to get the access code for the internet service ( which was horrible). She was rude to him and told him to tell me that she was charging us another $15.00 in addition to the $10.00 extra for the cot. I have no problem paying the extra fee but do have a problem with her rude insinuation that I was trying to sneak an extra person in without paying. I won't be staying there again because of her rudeness plus the room was not very nice. There are certainly better places to stay in the area. Lesa meira
