I arrived with a broken foot and, because we needed one of their larger rooms, had to stay in an upstairs room. The owners went out of the way to help in any way they could and always seemed to be outside working to ensure the motel and property were in the best shape possible so we ended up talking with someone almost every time we returned to our […] room. Very quiet neighborhood and the rooms are very clean. Internet connection is strong and all my devices worked great with wifi. I will definitely stay here again for the price.

We stayed here for one night and I'm glad it wasn't any longer than that. The hotel itself was decent for the price and the staff was friendly and nice. The other guests that where staying in the hotel where very creepy. There was a group of 5 guys that where smoking right in front of our room when we checked in and kept staring at us. The story doesn't […] end here, the people in the room next to ours where very loud all night long until 8:00 am. They where kiking the walls and flushing the toilet every 5 minutes (which made a really loud noise). Even though we asked for a non-smoking room, the smell of smoke from the other guests smoking in front of our room made our stay unpleasant. Lesa meira

had to spend a night in Paradise on business. This is a pretty no-frills motel, but served its purpose and had a good wifi network. Might stay here again if I had to pass through the area.

The photo of the exterior is deceiving. While the outside seems well-kept (except for the drained pool), the interioris not. Dirty, scuffed walls. Bedding with yellow stains, grimy carpet, doorknob lock that had to be forced, no alarm clock. The room was literally freezing when we arrived & took a long while to warm up. The clerk was quite irritated […] by our request for an additional blanket to supplement the filthy bedspread and one thin blanket already on the bed. The motel was not at capacity, but at 2:00 a very loud couple was checked into the room directly next to ours. We were awoken to the sounds of their loud party - drinking, swearing, yelling and blaring TV. When the clerk called them to ask them to keep it down, as a neighbor had complained, we were subjected to direct verbal abuse and turned-up TV through the paper thin walls and (locked) adjoining door. We had originally booked a 2 night stay, but checked out after only one. In addition to the frustrating events of the night before; we didn't feel comfortable leaving our things there unattended. Many thanks to Expedia for working with the hotel to get us a prompt refund for the unused night. I have stayed in budget motels all over the world and don't expect Five Stars when I'm paying for One. However; this is BY FAR the worst Motel I've ever stayed in. Stay anyplace other than here. We were warm and comfortable. The rooms are not luxurious but it was really clean.

Freeway noise is loud but the room was clean and the price was good. Nice that each room has a coffee maker, small fridge and microwave. Comfortable queen beds with 4 pillows each. Nice touch for those of us who like a lot of pillows. I would stay there again.

Lots of effort for cleanliness! newly remodeled bathrooms, fresh bed & linens, Towels were very clean & fresh but could use some updating. Air-conditioner was on and room was cool upon our arrival Manager was friendly and accommodating when request was made for 30 min late check out due to long tennis work out at nearby court. Mgr told me "no rush" […] as he saw me hurrying to pack the car and exit the room asap. Hotel was quiet and in safe area. pretty grounds, garden, outdoor pool, lawn & chairs. 2 Drive-through coffee cafes within 1 stop-light very handy. My stay was to visit family in the area, not to linger in the room, but for the comfort and charm, no-hassle, and price it was perfect. I've stayed at other larger chains and I have to drive to Chico, wait, make several repeated requests, and pay double and still not get what i asked for. The hotel manager was friendly and easy to talk with. The hotel is nothing to brag about, but was clean and comfortable.

We had a comfortable stay. We were disappointed that the pool was empty as we stayed in the summer and had not been told during the booking of the reservation that the pool was empty. That information should be made available.

close to Billie Park for spectacular canyon views. near restaurants. staff very helpful with giving directions. room was clean. pool was not filled however.

Beautiful older Motel, well kept up and nicely landscaped. Pet friendly and the owner was helpful and friendly. Overall a great place to stay.

The place was very clean! Sometimes you just don't know what it will be like at a small, independent eatablishment. The owners were very friendly and gracious. They took us in at 12:45 a.m. after getting a late start from L.A.

We stayed at this hotel overnight while visiting family in the area. We were disatisfied that the pool was empty and when asked we were told that the pool is too expensive to maintain due to government regulations. We had picked this hotel because it advertised it had a pool (seasonal) but it turns out that this wasn't true as adverstized. As a low-rated […] hotel it was fine and the bed was comfortable for me but other family members complained about the beds in other rooms at this hotel. I would not likely rent again at this hotel. The rooms are "quaint" - shower (no tubs) are plastic and basic. Driveway is tough to get out of onto highway. Our beds were never made for us. Tissue box never got refilled. Coffee maker didn't work. But, room was comfortable, warm, quiet, and the free wifi is fantastic. Refrig and microwave nice too.

This is an old motel with old motel smell. There was a lack of attention to detail in cleaning which left me wondering about the cleanliness the important stuff. Paint doesn't cover everything, but whoever "updated" this motel seemed to think it would. The walls are thin, so noise is a factor. It's spring, so not outdoor pool season, but the pool was […] green with algae. The rooms rented through this website are upstairs (no elevator and only 1 staircase). The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars was because the staff was curteous and the bed was fairly soft/comfortable (even if one of them was "broken down" on one side. The owners have done a great job of upgrading many things in the room. Unfortunately, they did not upgrade the sound partitions between the rooms when they did it, and we could hear ordinary conversations through the walls of the units on each side of us. The beds were very nice. The manager was very nice and helpfu;. Note: Call ahead if you are handicap or need a lower level room with a dog. Sand paper is a good name for the tp and the soap, so bring your own. Other than that we had a nice stay.

The exterior appearance of the hotel is deceptively neat and clean except for the filthy pool. The rooms are small and dingy with poor lighting and dangerously assembled wiring. This motel is OK if you need to put your head down for some rest. It's an older hotel and the walls are thin give we could hear the next door neighbor moans and groans of pleasure over a cranked up TV volume. Thank goodness they left around 12:30am. Chico was completely sold out do to graduation, I would predfr a newer motel, but if you expect at this priceit was fine.

Shower stall is small (well... I am a big guy) and the hot/cold handle stuck straight out with a ball on he end like you would see on a kitchen sink. Every time I turned around I would bump it and either get an ice bath or a second-degree scalding!

I was not impressed with this place, but we were only sleeping there and didn't have to spend much time there. It was a pretty run down hotel and them beds were hard, but it had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee-maker which was helpful since we had kids with us. I wouldn't stay there more than one night. After arriving and find a sign on the door saying "back in 60 Minutes", waiting 35 minutes for someone to show up, the room was the same tempture as out doors or even colder. It took over an hour for the room to warm up and during that time one bed next to the heater was unuasble because of the heat blasting out of the heater on to it. Rooms were very clean. Pool and grounds around were clean with a grassy area to play and a place to have a B-B-Q. It is a non smoking in rooms motel which is a must for me. Free WiFi and a continental breakfast. Easy access in and out and close to town. Price was great.
