Reasonable rate for what you get...great location for accessing transportation. Rooms are very small, but clean and bed is comfortable. The buffet is average...nothing special. Right at Temple street market. Hotel is a little difficult to find from the Metro.

The hotel service was good, the maid who cleaned our room was very polite. The only thing that I didn't like was the room, it was extremely small.

Well I must say the room IS small I wouldn't deny that, expect half the size of a typical hotel anywhere else. But what do you expect of Hong Kong? it's one of the busiest hotel I ever stayed. probably because of the convenient location and the reasonable rates. Rooms are very small but very smartly designed, it's perfect for one person.

We are very satisfied with our stay at Silka Seaview Hotel. It is very near Yau Ma Tei MTR station and lots of shopping around the hotel. The room is clean, thanks to the daily housekeeping which keeps our room tidy and toilet spotlessly clean. The room is not as small as we thought. We could lie 2 of our luggages on the floor and still there is space […] for walking. Overall nice hotel at a very good location. Temple street is just behind the hotel, with many food stalls operating till late night offering good options for dinner & supper. The hotel is in a good location. Lots of good food around the area. Temple street night market is just 10 meters away. The Yau Ma Tei MTR Stn is a 3 mins walk. Do not expect too much as this is a budget hotel after all. The room is tiny and there is no space for big luggage. You will have to leave your big luggage in an up right position. This is just next to Mido Cafe - the Tin Hau temple is just across the street. If you want desert, Hui Lau Shan is on the opposite building. There's McDonald and Wellcome nearby. all the markets ie temple st night market, sneakers street, shanghai street (wedding dresses and kitchenware), jade market, gold fish market and flower market are within walking […] distance. There's ample of street food around this area too. The room is small but it's comfy...don't bring too much luggage with you as there might not be enough space...the only bad thing is you could hear your neighbor when they speak in the hallway..all in all a nice place to stay. The hotel shuttle bus is awesome...every hour and brings you to langham place, tsim sha tsui where the terminal to Macau is and all the shopping districts and most importantly to Kowloon mtr that brings you to the airport. overall the whole stay at the hotel was very good, except that they don't have complimentary water in the room. As i arrived very late, they upgrade me to a better room. there's a very nice tim sum shop behind the hotel

I had requested a non-smoking room on my reservation; but I was assigned to a smoking floor. Although the room, luckily, did not have any smell. However, when I am outside in the hallway, I was unable to breath due to the smell of the smoke - even for a few minutes waiting for the elevator.

It is nice, clean and esp. the location , only 3 mins walk to the nearby subway.except t the room is quite small. Since i only stayed for 1 night,and for the rate i was paying, i cannot complaint, I like this hotel.

If you are on a budget and want to stay in Kowloon, this s the place for you. The rooms are quite small, and the elevator is soul crushingly slow, but apart from that, it is a great place. Situated right near the Temple Street markets and associated eateries, and a 5 minute walk to the Yau Ma Tei MTR station, it was perfect. A jaunt to the New Territories […] or the Island are easy, as is Diamond Hill on the Tung Chung (?) line, as Yau Ma Tei as an interchange. Around the corner from the $33 airport bus stop, life couldn't be better. Definitely would stay there again.The room wa sclean and the one problem we had with the shower not draining properly was handled and fixed in minutes. Literally someone came up and sorted it out for us immediately it was reported. Breakfast is cheap and nice and the view from the dining room is awesome. Not ocean, but Awesome. Recommended highly. Great location near night market and restaurants. Bed and room pretty small, but typical of Hong Kong Rooms. Housekeeper very nice and went the extra mile. Asked for more coffee in room first morning and she made sure I had extra each day. Bathroom great!! fridge a plus.

I stayed here for 3 nights Sept 2012. After arriving at the Yau Ma Te MTR, it is a 7 minute walk to the hotel. There are plenty of eating places around the hotel. The neighborhood is filled with shops selling kitchen hardware and baking supplies which I found enjoyable to browse through. At night the Temple street market opens next to the hotel as well. […] Not much on offer but basic street junk, but nice to take an evening walk around. Location wise, this hotel is convenient to most anywhere in HK. The staff speak English and were helpful and friendly. Their restaurant is not so good, their coffee is terrible. However you can use free wifi at the restaurant only, when it works. I would not buy the breakfast. It is Chinese cuisine and very basic. Walk around the corner to MD's. The rooms are small, but I have stayed in smaller places in HK. Rooms are comfortable, newly furnished and clean. The bed is not the standard rock, which is a nice feature. It is medium hardness. Coffee is available in the room. The wifi does not work. Even in the lobby, the service provider they use is slow when it is able to connect. Not worth 100 HKD per 24 hrs. It is not the wifi reception, but their ISP which is no good. They did refund my money. They offer a free shuttle service to the Mong Kok airport terminal train and also to Langham Place shopping center in Mong Kok. At this price point, this hotel is a good value for HK. Though it is small, but clean. Especially the distance to the MRT station is quite short, and staying close to the Yu-Mai Tai station is a great choice. I'd like to stay for the second time!

Cleanliness of room was very good. Important thing was the location of the hotel. 5 minutes walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR and within half a minute from the nearest 7-11 and eateries/night market along Temple Street. The location is excellent, very close to bus stop for airport shuttle, and other public transportation. The place seems newly renovated and clean. The room is small , but clean, quiet and with good AC. The staff is generally nice. Quality of service is generally ok.

Location is central Kowloon. Far from the shopping and busy streets of Tsim Sha Tsui, though proximate to the bargain mecca streets like Temple. Rooms were small yet the beds are comfortable. The hotel has pros and cons. It is convenient, newly renovated, clean, reasonably good service, and at a good price. However, I am 5'10" and I found the bed not long enough. My room is at the end of the corridor and I have no internet service even though I paid HKD100 for a 24 hours internet service. this is by far the worst hotel i had stayed in, rooms are sooooo small, you would feel you are in a shoe box. the bed can only fit one who is 5 ft or smaller,hence the hotel provided a wooden extension so i can fit in it, could not believe that i had to pay this kind of money to have a 5 hour sleep in a room in which i can not easily maneuver or even […] take my suitcase inside the room, add to that a bed which is designed for little kids and a staff who actually don't give a dam about how u feel, to staying next to the generator room and for 5 hours not able to sleep because of the noise of on and off and again the staff are not even symptomatic, in short, if you are European or american do your self a favor and don't even consider this hotel.
