Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center – Frankfurt

Nothing special about this hotel except for its great location inside the terminal 1 building which makes it very convenient for travellers waiting to connect a flight early morning.

Hotel is perfect when flying out of Frankfurt in the early morning. It is between the train station and terminal 1, so it is easy this way. I normally do not use this hotel as the cost is very high, relative to the convenience, but there was a sale so I took it. If the hotel is not at a deep discount it is not worth it, there are many hotels quite close […] which are a better value, and if you had to go to terminal 2 a taxi from a local hotel is easier. Overall the hotel is expensive for what you get, the check in took 20+ mins, the bed was not comfortable, and you had to pay for internet. Best thing, 5 minutes to the check-in at terminal 1. Attached to Frankfurt airport so convenience for flights is high. Typical Sheraton experience, nice room. Wifi expensive unless you use it in public areas. If you want to eat in the German community and not at the hotel, is an expensive cab ride to any restaurant and not walkable from hotel. If all you want is a really nice hotel with amazing access to FRA Airport for a layover, the Sheraton's great. It's got really nice meeting facilities, and overexpensive but interesting restaurants and bars-- definitely don't buy the breakfast, but instead go to one of the many kiosks around the airport and buy fresh (and way more affordable) breakfast […] items at pretty much any time of day. It's got free web usage, which is also nice. But the connections to the city are absolutely perfect. If you are catching a morning flight, but still want to go out the night before, just jump on the train for a painless ride into the city; the system runs past 1am, so you'll be able to stay out a while without worrying about taking a costly taxi ride. The rooms are comfortable and relatively modern, although the bathrooms could definitely use updating. I personally had a problem with my TV, which was unable to be resolved during my stay; however, I was only there for a night, and only wanted to watch it for an hour or so, so it wasn't worth working with the hotel to get it fixed... I just told them to make sure it was fixed for the next guest. It would be really nice if they gave complimentary bottled water or something--considering their five-star status, that's the least they could do, no? Lesa meira

Very convenient for a one night stay ,especially if you have a morning flight . The internet connection was terrible and this is a big issue for me. Everything else was perfect.

Wifi was not included in the room rate as website said, which is why I picked thE room rate. Then Internet kept shutting down and had to move rooms....

Took my credit card details for extras and then bar staff had to come up to my room at 23:30 because payment for food was rejected. I was in bed!

The staff at the front desk were excellent, only to be undermined by the fact that they issued me a room that was not made up. This took 10 minutes to resolve - but fortunately it was. I was assured that I would be able to eat in the restaurant, but given the 10 minute delay - I arrived at 9:45 pm only to be told that I was too late and I would have […] to go to the tavern. This wouldn't have been so bad had the M'd not been so abrupt in her dealing with me. The silver lining was the complete opposite approach in the Taverne. Stayed here waiting for connecting flight next morning. Having a direct connection to the airport and walking to check in was a great experience. Rooms, Lobby, Restaurants and general condition of the Hotel were all great. No complaints whatsoever. All in all a great experience.

Check in was shockingly slow Perfect for people catching a flight the next day having just flown in the day before. Breakfast was good but very busy as there was a conference going on, so queues for hot food = chairs were not available for people to sit down to eat breakfast and staff were having to move them around to cater for everyone. Spent one night while waiting for a morning flight. Enjoyed the German restaurant for dinner. Great spaetzle. I was a young woman traveling alone and felt safe. Safe was very nice.

We arrived at 7pm, and told the room wasn't ready ( for 45 min).We all found the room to be to be too hot (Dec 21st) and the small amount the one window opened to not help much. There was no air conditioning, so I'd hated to be there in summertime.

I booked the hotel room to recoup during a 10-hour layover. A flight cancellation reduced my time in the room to 2 hours, but in the event an extremely useful nap and shower.

Arrived late after a 4 hr flight. Long line up then was told they didn't have a king bed as booked so was ok to take two queens. Got to the 6 th floor with lots of luggage and the room was small with two twin beds. Was not impressed so went back to reception and was told they did not have any more kings and that they do not have queen beds at the hotel […] so I was given incorrect information the first time. I told the gentleman that was not acceptable and I stood there and told him I was sure he could do something and guess what we got a king bed. Restaurant was very expensive but good. Lesa meira

Hotel is conveniently located but feels old and needs a revamp. Rooms only OK and extremely expensive food and internet. Room service staff had poor English, so had to speak to three people to place an order off the menu! Not acceptable for an 'international' hotel at an airport.

The perfect hotel if you have a flight in or out of Frankfurt! It is literally right in the airport with its own entrance to Terminal 1. Our stay was short as we had an early flight out in the morning but we enjoyed our dinner the night before. The bed could have been a bit softer but otherwise the room was fine.

The room was spotless and comfy, the staff was spectacular... they're really what make this hotel stand out. I had a lot of work to focus on while in my room so I ordered room service twice and loved it. Quick service and great food.

The hotel is situated opposite Terminal 1 at the airport but directions to get to it from the terminal building are confusing. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was ready despite my early arrival (10am). My room was very comfortable and clean. Although there were tea/coffee making facilities provided the only way to heat […] the water was by using the filter coffee machine, no kettle! No milk was provided, not even in the mini bar. Mini bar prices were as usual extortionate - 6.50 euros for a small bottle of water. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, although the a la carte menu was a little overpriced. The breakfast buffet was good although not much choice of hot food and at 32 euros did not represent value for money at all. Pleasant and helpful staff. Most convenient hotel if you fly out from the airport in the morning. Reasonably priced for this convenience, but always I find the extra charges for wireless use excessive and annoying.

We checked into our room and saw that the toilet was leaking.I tried 3 times to call the front desk with no answer.We left the room and went to the front desk.The employee there at the time was the only employee to be nice and helpful.He said he will call someone to fix the problem. He then asked did we want to move rooms?I said no not at this time […] we were going out to eat dinner.When arriving into the room, the bathroom was a mess.Water and dirt all over the floor and also a screw.I called again, it took me 3 tries.Finally I got an answer.I explained to the lady about the mess and how unhappy I was.She had to put me on hold and ask someone then said the problem was too in depth and they were unable to fix it that night.I asked what now?she would have to see if it would be o.k. if we got moved.She said someone would come to our room and help us to another room. It took them almost 45 minutes to get to our room with a new key and said this is for your new room and have a nice night.By that time it was late and we were too tired to complain.I went to check out the next morning and the lady that helped me said my room was already paid for and have a great day.I then told her that I was unhappy and tried to explain what had happened with our stay and she just said "really, o.k., oh" She was not very friendly.I am very unhappy with the customer service that this hotel showed me in my stay.Hopefully not all of your guests are treated the way that we were treated. The service was perfect. Help to the room with luggage, a wake up call at 4 am, and then at 4:45 the luggage picked up and taken to the lobby for coffee and croissant, then they took the luggage to the sky train for us to go to terminal 2. Typical busy airport terminal hotel but my goodness not nearly as good as other sheratons in Europe (especially for the price!). Bed was comfortable and room was quiet and spacious but the Internet cost 20 euros.

No need for shuttles, you can walk from terminal 1 straight to the hotel without leaving the airport. The room could do with a little refresher but was very clean and comfortable. Soundproofing was excellent. Staff was o.k. Check out was confusing, even though we had prepaid the room we had to pay 6.5 Euro for a small bottle of water from the minibar. […] Our check out person could not accept cash or a Euro debit card causing us to have to pay with a US credit card. Hotel was nice- so close to the terminal. Easy to catch that early flight. The only down side was that the wake up call was 14 min late, which could have caused us problems if our alarm had failed.
