Holiday Inn Manchester-Central Park – Manchester

Extremely dissatisfied experience staying at Holiday Inn Manchester Central Park. Disturbed in the late night by a man using an exercise bike in the corridor outside of our room making an awful noise. Poor quality gym facilities. No basic washing products such as shower gel in the shower dispenser, soap, flanels and run-down dirty bathroom. On attempting […] to call for assistance, no staff to answer the call despite a long wait and I later discover that there are no staff at the front desk. No security to the hotel. On dialing the hotel operator and emergency numbers, again no reply - so I presume no assistance if any emergencies occur at the hotel. I will not choose to stay again particularly when there are other hotels cheaper. Lesa meira

Hotel was advertised as 1.2 miles from the stadium, it was more like 2 miles. The hotel was in a very rundown area and the bar closed at midnight and didnt open again until 12am. Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable, but furniture was rundown!

My room furniture was worn and damaged. I called the front deck to say that the TV was not working. Despite assuring me that someone will be up to assess it, no one ever came. The 10GBP breakfast is definitely NOT worth it. While having breakfast, the staff were regaling stories of their boozy weekend events and plans for the next weekend. stayed one night to watch the football at old trafford, although a fair way from the ground the taxi that the hotel booked turned up promptly and the breakfast in the morning was very good

The room was quite nice but the bed sheets were slightly stained however the staff were really helpful when i asked them to be changed.

I enjoyed my stay though I did not appreciate the view from my room , the hotel is bang in middle of business estate. I would not have gone to a different hotel as I like Holiday Inn

Late arrival on the night of a big match at the nearby Etihad Stadium meant there was no room in the car park and I had to leave it in a neighbouring industrial unit which made for a slight nervousness. Only room available was a disabled-access room on the ground floor so it was very cold on entering. TV didn't work. Nothing wrong with the hotel but the surrounding area is quite industrial. Fused electrics meant that someone had to come and soert that out. Everything else was okay.

Needs consirable improvement in quality of food in the resturant I only used resturant on the first night was not impressed.The price of hotel rooms was very expensive considering that no breakfast was provided.

The hotel was in a good location and easy to find, the staff were very firendly but not very informed about things to do in Manchester neither did they have any leaflets for things to do. Th WiFi was really expensive at £10 per day and even to use the internet int he lobby there was a charge of £1 for 20 minutes, In this dy and age I woudl say that […] was excessive. Breakfast was very poor even at 9.00 am on a Saturday it should have been fresher. This was all made bearable by the friendly atmosphere of the bar staff and reception. Lesa meira

Hotel was just what expected for price, clean and tidy nice bar but little over priced for food and drink.

The hotel is fine. There was a team lunch going in the restaurant and when i went there at 01:30 to have lunch, i was told that they cannot serve me lunch. they can only give me cold sandwiches. The brouchere over there though read that lunch timings were up to 2:00pm. Had to take a taxi to reach city centre to have food.

It was a very nice experience except one incident. While checking out at the receptions I left one of my handcarrys. When I reached home I contacted the hotel to find out if they had found it and kept it but I was told that they have not found any bag. I clearly remember bringing it out of the room with me and from the hotel it was a straight drive […] to home. I was a bit disappointed although there was nothing of value in that bag but I was really hoping to have that back as it was my wife's favourite bag. I had checked out quite early and do not rememeber any other guests being around as well so there is no possibility that it could have been picked by another guest. Lesa meira

I would say it is good for a one night business stay but not families or couples. It is in a horrible area with no local amenities but handy for the Velodrome and Man City FC. The room was smart although the carpet was stained. The toilet was on permanent flush as I entered the room which I would have expected the cleaner to notice and get fixed. However, […] reception got someone to come straight away and fix it. However, he did not bother to clean up the splashing all around the loo area and I was disconcerted to see a few minutes later that the same staff member was also serving dinner in the restaurant. There was confusion in the dining room as they had an unexpected party arrive and the food was basic. Very comfortable hotel and excellent value for money. Only gripe was the bedroom carpet looking a little shabby and worse for wear but i guess that is to be expected with the amount of people who stay at the hotel. excellent hotel, within comfortable walking distance of the etihad stadium (about 20 mins) & a short taxi ride to the city centre. ample parking, very comfortable room with excellent king size bed. extremely friendly & helpful staff. good sized bar & restaurant. the surrounding area is the only thing that lets it down as it's more or less on the boundary […] of a light industrial zone & some very run down housing. otherwise a great choice for any football fans or tourists who are happy to take a taxi into the city. The hotel is very clean, the staff were more than helpful and the room was well furished. Infact i have to say the saff were very helpful and obliging and happy to help. Breakfast was tasty, although a bit haphazard with staff always having to say " i will get you some" , minor point really. The let down for the hotel is, if you are visiting Manchester […] as a tourist and not a business person then you would be better trying a city centre hotel. It is located on a very busy road adjacent to a couple of Industrial Estates. Very impressed, was lucky as room was on opposite side of Main Road, so not sure if there would be traffic noise, but overall very good. Nice Resteraunt, Bar and very helpfull Staff. Only down side was Breakfast, was very in middle of times allowed and had run out of Bacon and Sausages etc, had to wait quite a while for replacements and only ons staff […] member organizing whole resteraunt. Conveniently located and easily accessible for the Take That gig at City of Manchester stadium. The room was clean, nice powerful shower, and duvet and bed very comfy. Would recommend it to anyone having to go for shows at the stadium.

This hotel is located in the heart of the industrial section of Manchester. Don't expect to be able to walk to any restaurants, bars or even convenience mart. The hotel DID NOT have the basic necessities such as: alarm clock, closet, dresser or WASH CLOTH's. I had the "Kingsize Ensuite" If you are a light sleeper, be aware; the hotel sets right off […] a main road. All night you will get to listen to trucks rumbling up and down the road. We stopped by on this city on the way back to Scotland. The hotel is clean, roomy also. We are 2 adults + 2 kids. Nothing special but highly recommended.

Min övernattning var prisvärd. Därför finns ingenting att klaga på, speciellt inte med tanke på den trevliga personalen och den rätt goda frukosten. Är själv en mycket van resenär.

I uge 10 skulle der igen ses fodbold på Old Trafford som hovedkamp. Og vælg af hotel faldt igen på Holiday Inn Manchester - Central Park. Det skulle være en rigtig fodbold weekend, så lørdag skulle der ses Bolten Wanderers på hjemmme bane og om søndagen skulle der ses Manchester United på Old Trafford. Da vi landede i Manchester lufthavn fik vi fat […] i en taxi, som skulle køre os til Holiday inn Manchester-Central Park, det kostede 25 Pund. Turen til Reebok Stadium i Bolten kostede 100 Pund tur/retur. Turen til Old Trafford koster ca. 13 Pund. Jeg synes personligt selv at hotellet ligge fint kontra Old Trafford. Selvfølgelig kan man finde et hotel meget tættere på det hele, men så er det også dobbelt så dyrt. Det skal lige nævnes at hotellet ligger i et indrustri område og det er ikke meget at komme efter i det område. Manchester City stadion ligger forøvrigt ca 2 km fra hotellet. Lesa meira
