Friendly staff and large clean rooms. Only complaint was noise from windows during storm and from other guests in hallway. Not 5 star, but will stay there again on another trip.

The hotel was in a safe feeling location, was clean, and the views were beautiful from our hotel window. They have observation decks on each floor that are perfect for taking coffee/kids out to sit. Just wanted to say the room was cold the heat was turned off. Also the hallways was exstreamly noisy. Which made the room noisy not enought sound proff. For the amount of money spent on this room. Got accused of smoking in our room and were not. Lady at the counter was extremely rude and No hot hot water so couldn't even use jacuzzi tub or take hot shower. Never again for me!

stay here when have sports tournaments , located on main highway with shopping and restaurants nearby On site bar that serves food in hotel with a great Prime Rib on weekends , also a nice Pizza/Pub Eatery just steps away from hotel . Quiet and friendly. Would stay here again

We enjoyed our stay, the restraunt had good food and a very nice staff.. Very accomadating to our needs. The noise level was loud till about 11, but after that was quiet the rest of the night, it was karoake nite downstairs.. Overall a nice stay, would go there again..rooms were clean too

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. If you are traveling from Anchorage to Fairbanks, it's the perfect place to stop and rest for the night before driving the long distance back to Fairbanks. Very hard to find the entrance to the parking lot. Staff was helpful, but could have been better. Room was comfortable and the bed was mediocre, but the pillows were horrible - cheap and useless - my rolled up jacket was more comfortable. We would stay again if we had to...but not our first choice.

Spent 2 nights here while doing some shopping - the staff was very helpful and we had a good time - the only thing that would of made it better is if they had newer beds they were very unconfy - overall everythings was clean and great.

When we arrived the put side was cute. In the lobby was also nice and clean but once in the room it was very dirty the clean remote was not so clean it had something all over it. Needless to say this was the worst room I've stayed in. The beds only had two very flat pillows and forget about taking a shower the towels looked very used no longer worth […] drying off along with fighting with the faucet to pull down the knob to get the shower to work. This hotel is "just ok". There is very little choice in the area and this hotel is the only option if you want to get some sleep. The beds are not good quality so prepare yourself for mattresses with the comfort of a sleeper sofa. Get to know other hotel guests by way of the paper thin walls! All the Staff were very nice, I would definately stay here again in the long term suites they have a full kitchen with Stove Oven, Dishwasher, Full Refrigerator, a comfortable pull out bed and a nice Queen, there was even two TV's one in the living room and one in the bedroom, I thought this place was great for the price. This hotel is about one hour drive from Anchorage. Wasila doesn't have any attraction except the dog trail headquarters. This hotel is pretty decent and relatively clean. This is the cheapest decent hotel you can find near Anchorage!

Very adequate for the area, pleasing decour outside and inside. Room furnished one pillow per person, one hand towel, toilet little crusty under the ledge. Also TV did not line up well with sitting area or bed.

Although the entrance to the hotel was not the easiest to find, the stay there was fine. With a large dog, there are no other hotels allowing pets to stay. This was a great convenience.

We liked our stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We do have a couple suggestions. it would be move convenient if the pet room was on the first floor to make walking them easier. We do appreciate that they do accept pets. it would have been nice to have had a writing tablet and pen in the room to take telephone messages. We did regret there […] was no breakfast available. I have worked in hotels and i have never had service, the front desk women had no idea what they were doing and to be honest a bit rude, the hotel was under construction the whole time, i wasnt informed the pool wasnt available and that was the main reason i pick that hotel, and the walls of the rooms were scuffed and dirty, the parking lot was in a […] very inaccessible location as well as poorly plowed, and having to drive threw a restaurant parking lot in the evening is horrible! The GrandView does have a grand view -- on the south side of the building. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

Signage is needed up along the Parks Hwy to indicate you must turn into the Chili's Restaurant to access the hotel. Carpet could use a thorough cleaning, like behind the door and under the bed stand. Overall was acceptable room but certainly not worth the room rate they ask for. The pool has been closed for 3 months.

The clerk failed to tell us what the password was for the wi-fi only to find out the wi-fi works only in the lobby. No guest information book. Workout room had no heat, everything was broken. The pool was closed. Only two towls and one wash cloth were in the bathroom. Only one ice machine in the whole building, which is located on lower level.

We went to Wasilla, AK for my son's basketball tournament. After reading some of the reviews, we were prepared for the worst. To our surprise, the room was clean and everything in it seemed to work except for the free high speed wireless internet. We could not log on at all. The on line reviews were accurate in many aspects. The pillows were tiny and […] gave little support. The pool was closed, which on line reviewers say happens a lot. Our room was by the stairs, so we did hear some doors slamming throughout the night. We checked in at 5:30 pm and went out to dinner and then came back in to watch the HBO movie. We checked out by 9:30 am the following day. It was a decent place to stay for one night. It was nothing special but it was a clean room at a reasonable price for one night. The view of the bedding (sheets and pillow) did not appear fresh. This alone made us feel apprehensive. When we pull the covers back on the beds they need to appear crisp and fresh not wrinkled.

The Grand View is a little odd in it's approach to extended stay. I've never had an extended stay hotel make your bed daily, or change your towels daily... but the Grand View apparently goes above and beyond. Their customer service is fantastic. However, an extended stay hotel with no hangers in the closet? A bit odd to say the least. Pots, pans, dishes […] at the handy... but no spatula or measuring cups? Never seen it before. All in all, the Grand View seems to really handle the big details well, but forgets some of the little ones that make an extended stay hotel memorable. But that's okay. I can buy a measuring cup and a spatula to leave behind for the next guy. I can live without hangers. The Grand View more than makes up for those minor flaws with what they offer in comfort and convenience. When I visit Wasilla from now on, this is where I will be staying. Lesa meira

This was my 2nd stay. Desk personnel very pleasant, hotel clean. Room heat/cool worked very well. The bed pillows were not the fullest and there were only 2, so not much for propping up in bed. Had a good chicken ceasar salad in the lounge one night. Finding out how to get to the hotel from the highway was NOT marked or clear - could use a sign down […] by the Chili's restaurant entrance to point the way. Not impreesed. We stayed here because it was the most conveniently located. There were two tiny pillows on the queen size bed, two little towels, no lotion to be found in the room. There was LOUD karaoke going on TWO FLOORS below us. And the worst thing: the shower curtain was so dingy I didn't feel clean getting out of the shower. Up side: the bed […] was comfortable, it would have been nice to have an extra pillow since the ones they provide are literally the same dimensions as a milk crate. Privately owned and they have obviously had problems with guests damaging things in the past as there are silly notices up with dos and donts which made us feel like we were back in school. Nice enough hotel but the staff were rude at the front desk, there was no 'Hi how are you' that we had come to enjoy at other hotels in Alaska. If I had not booked […] in advance I would not have even enquired if they had any rooms. The facilities advertised, like pool, were all closed. We used their restaurant as there was nowhere within easy walking. Again it was the service that let it down badly.
