We (2 adults + 1 child) stayed here 3 days before our cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia) and 1 day after. Very pleased with the hotel and would come again. Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms clean, tidy and spacious, high ceiling and interior oozes old classy charm. Free quite fast wi-fi internet for hotel guests. Good central location, close to Terminal station, 15-20 min walk to most of the famous sights. Breakfast buffet quite good and the coffee machine, although automatic, makes an almost perfect cappuchino... for us a BIG PLUS. Some nice restaurants in the vicinity like the Gallo Matto, 5 minutes walk down on Cavour. Just a little minus: Bed mattresses a bit hard for my taste, but slept well anyway.

Pros: - Great location (Colosseum, super market and good restaurants) - Friendly and very helpful staff. - Clean rooms - Computer with internet access in each room. Cons: The only cons that I can think of are: - Very little floor space to store luggage (Minor problem) - Breakfast was only a croissant and a water/cafe at a bakery near by. Would be great if there were some fruits as well. But this hotel is perfect for a couple that are looking for a relatively cheap hotel in a great location! I would recommend this hotel to any couple and if I go back to Rome I would use this hotel again.

Location was pretty good near the city center, about 10 min. bus ride. Staff was very helpful and kind. The room was very nice but the air conditioning was poor. Free internet connection, but it did not work in the room though.

"Cockroaches?? Yes please!"
If you like paper thin walls, lots of bugs, hard beds, only eating bread for breakfast, and unhelpful staff members this is the perfect place for you. If you don't like these things I would recommend looking elsewhere for your hotel, but if you do end up staying here a word of advice: If they hand you your key card and the hand written name in expo […] marker says Lucianna, (they don't number their hotel rooms, they name them) turn and run. Don't look back. Trust me, it is the best decision you could make. That hotel room is steps, and I literally mean steps away from the front desk. We heard EVERY conversation to take place at the front desk. We were right next to their utility closet, heard every clanking sound of people working and scurrying about the hotel. There were the weirdest noises in the middle of the night. It was the weirdest hotel room I have ever stayed in. And I wasn't kidding about the bugs. They had an ant problem and our bathroom was covered in them. Not sure if they ever cleaned the bathroom because they were always there. Every night and every morning we found new cockroaches. And we were a bit concerned about the possible existence of bed bugs since we mysteriously ended up with bug bites in the mornings. Free internet!?! Hardly. Not free, and not fast. (when we booked it said complimentary wifi) Free breakfast, if you want to call it that. I'm not picky and I didn't eat breakfast there, in fact I just skipped that meal all together. Wasn't worth it, but hey... at least it was free. Close to Rome?... Nope. It is so far from Rome it wasn't even on any of the maps we got of the city. It is; however, close to a dark, scary train station (not metro station). But not anywhere near Rome. What else can I say? Other than I have been racking my brain to think of even one positive thing about this hotel and... well, you couldn't pay me a $1 million to come up with something. Enjoy! Lesa meira
"Not worth it"
After travel most of Europe, I was looking forward to time in the Eternal City. The hotel is easy to get to, but difficult to find. When you are headed to the hotel you take the M1 line on the right tracks, if you have your back to the doors. The name of the hotel does not match the name on the building. It's a fanchise and it's quite confusing. I […] reserved a double, but the man at the desk checked me into a single. After realizing his error, I was moved into the last double available. The heater won't shut off, I had to open the window and unplug the unit. The fridge did not work, the hair dryer was broken, the shower was dirty. After one night, I woke up with 13 bites on my arms and legs. After the second night, I was covered even after applying bug spray. The breakfast was good. It's easy to get to, once you take the train into Rome- everything is within walking distance. I suggest the three day pass- unlimited for 3 days- cheaper than a day pass. Lesa meira
"Appaling service"
Probably the first time I've actually seen hotel staff argue with each other. This hotel has an awful atmosphere and after a long drive really ruined my day. There a re lots of good, cheap hotels in Rome, just don't use this one!
"Disappointing Hotel Experience"
It took us 3 train rides to arrive at the hotel, carrying suitcases up and down many flights of stairs, which was at the Northern part of Rome. We felt the neighborhood was not safe especially for 2 women traveling on their own, the area was run down and the walk from the train station to the hotel had areas that were overgrown with brush and pitch […] dark. The room was dark and dingy and the carpet was not clean. Possibly there were bed bugs since upon awakening I was covered with bites. One morning we went down to breakfast and they had run out of food. The only positive experience from this stay is that the staff was pleasant and was accommodating. "Good for the value"
Overall it is a good hotel for budget travelers. We stayed there 3 nights and enjoyed our visit to Rome. The hotel is about 30-45 min train ride. We felt safe and relax at the hotel. There was no restaurant or supermarket nearby. We had to get everything done in Rome which is fine. The breakfast is good.

Nice and clean hotel. Quite a drive from the airport. And although there is a train nearby, it's still far from Rome's city center. I stayed there 1 night due to the good price, then moved closer into Rome.
"Hôtel Flaminius : nous déconseillions fortement"
Nous déconseillions fortement, hôtel très mal situé et desservi, banlieue déserte et très salle, le train de nuit ne s’arrête pas à la station CELSA. chambre très bruyante, vous entendez les voisins crier.on vous demande de payer 4 euros de taxe au départ. Franchement, prenez un hôtel au centre de Rome, car la ville est très mal desservie en transport […] (2 lignes de métro) et surtout une banlieue qui craint. Donc pas de fausse économie et bon séjour. "Hotel Flaminius"
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, would recommend to anyone traveling on a budget. Train ride to Rome is easy enough, the personnel at the hotel also helps by providing metroline maps and advising on tickets and such. No public transport available to the hotel after 11pm, so if arriving later, the taxi could get pricey.

- aamuisin aamupalalla loppuivat tarjottavat ja kahvikupit, joita sai kysellä vastaanoton työntekijältä - joka puolestaan "hätisteli" keittiön työntekijää toimittamaan kaksi kuppia ja jotakin syötävää ! - yllätyksenä lähtiessä tuli Rooman taksa- niminen ylimääräinen lasku 20 e; työntekijä sanoi, että tuollahan se lukee; todellakin pylvään takana (paikassa, […] johon katse ei juurikaan etsiydy) oli hyvin pienellä präntillä tekstiä... - hotellin kuvauksesta netistä saatiin tietää, että terminiltä pääsee hotelliin yhdellä junalla/metrolla; kuitenkin vaihto oli välissä; esitteessä/printissä voisi olla suomeksi/englanniksi saapumisohje paikkaan selkeästi - myös sijainnin kuvaus oli jkv. pettumys: vehreätä puistomaista ympäristöä hotellin ympärillä; kuitenkin se sijaitsi vilkkaan liikenneväylän varressa, puistosta ei tietoakaan - muutoin hinta-laatusuhde lienee ollut kohdallaan Lesa meira
personnel très accueillant, hotel propre et avec du cachet, les chambres sont sympas. bémol: dans la salle de bain petite odeur d'humidité. trains réguliers pr flaminius jusqu'à 22h40, mais train de banlieue pas de métro. Y a des restos de qualité ds le quartier, mais le cadre n'est vraiment pas accueillant, gare déserte et taguée, il faut passer sous […] un pont à peine éclairée pr rejoindre les restos. "Hotel Flaminius,vicino Roma"
Hotel Flaminius si trova a 200 mt dalla fermata del treno urbano Roma Viterbo per cui comodo per visitare il centro di Roma che dista circa 20 min con il treno.Hotel pulito,personale cordiale e colazione buona a buffet.Camere carine e spaziose ma il bagno emanava un pò cattivo odore. Una sera non veniva acqua calda perchè la caldaia doveva essere resettata […] ma penso sia un problema che puo' succedere ovunque. La zona dove si trova l'hotel non è bella,residenziale ma per arrivare all'hotel bisogna fare 200 mt su una strada a scorrimento veloce un pò buia,comunque il giudizio complessivo è buono a parità costo/qualità. "Der er sikkert glimrende alternativer"
Et kedeligt beliggende hotel, hvor eneste højdepunkt var Mama's Restaurant ca. 1 km. fra hotellet - men tag bilen, da vejen snævrer ind og fortovet forsvinder. Hotellet var som sådan acceptabelt, men der må være bedre alternativer i området.
