I got a really good deal last minute, and at a peak time. The room had an absolutely beautiful view of the lake and the mountains.

Very friendly staff. The receptionist was great in confirming our day trip the next day, after we'd had trouble contacting the operator. Restaurant and bar staff also great. Food and drinks prices were very reasonable. Would have been nice for the pool to be heated a little, but no big deal. Mercure is located on the water with fab views. It's an older hotel with some updated rooms. The staff is very responsive. Breakfast buffet is good, but don't even think about having dinner in the hotel restaurant. The view from your table is spectacular but the food is inedible. Great value and convenient to town on the bus or walk down the hill.

Staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful. They gave the impression that no request was too small. The hotel itself is showing its age and needs a remodel. However, if you get a competitive rate you should consider it. The room was clean and comfortable -- the two most important items of any hotel in my opinion. We checked in on the 18th and were greeted with a fantastic view of the mountains. However, upon checking in we were given a room with hardly any view but upon requesting at the front desk they upgraded us to a room with a fantastic view. Hubby and I ended up extending our stay and spending a couple of weeks in a double room (garden view - cheaper rates than lake view rooms, as we are frugal!). Met our needs perfectly as a not-so-young couple (35 and 40) who are no longer prepared to rough it in backpackers yet don't want to spend a fortune. The room was toasty warm with modern furnishings […] (neutral tones). Bathroom was a little dated but clean and functioning. Restaurant food was good (great tapas). All up good value for money (discounted Hotels.com rates) and good location close to town centre. Though if you don't have a car be warned it's a steep climb up the hill back to the hotel, and we are reasonably fit people! Only downside for us was poor internet signal using our laptop with mobile internet. The hotel seems to be in a blackspot as we had no problem in cafes in town. beautiful hotel with fantastic views of the mountains. The staff were helpful and freindly. The food at the hotel breakfast was great. We picked this hotel relying on the favourable reviews, we weren't disappointed. We prepaid the room to lock in the slightly lower rate, and knowing that it was not going to be a room with the lake view; It was one of the best value hotels in our 11-days NZ trip. It was a nice relaxing 30 minutes walk, one way, to the busy downtown; however, the return […] trip going up the slope may discourage some. But the reward is taking in the fantastic view of Lake Wakatipu and its surrounding mountains. That is one of the reasons why you come to Queenstown for. This was the best of the six hotels we stayed in on our trip. The staff was friendly, the beds were amazingly comfortable and a nice size. The hotel restaurant food was good and the view outside our window overlooking the lake was amazing! Free parking for all guests. Only complaint was lack of internet service in the room. Hotel lobby use only.

We went with a lower rate room and it really showed. The whole hotel has a bit of a 'used' feeling but our room in particular was very well worn - I am sure that is what you get for the price. It had everything we needed - although the hair dryer was locked in place in the room rather than the bathroom so my husband got to hear that for about a half […] hour - there was a kitchen area and the bed was fine and yes, the view was amazing but I would have rather been someplace a little closer to town with a shower I didn't mind getting into. The location is very ideal - with outstanding view of Lake Wakatipu. Service was excellent and I was particularly pleased that the night duty manager actually helped me to print an urgent business document for no charge. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall it has been an excellent stay at Mercure Resort Hotel.

Signing in and out was a breeze and we were delighted with the rooms we were given - such fantastic views..The staff had thought things through for us - a family of five- and made the stay very friendly and memorable. Really nice hotel with HUGE rooms. The atmosphere is great. The hotel is very clean, very well-kept and up-to-date. The linens are very nice and there are ample towels, etc. already in the room. There is easy access to the HUGE bathoom and HUGE shower. The flat screen TV is a plus and the in-room tea & coffee service, iron and hair dryer are perfect. Breakfast […] is AMAZING! Everything you could possibly think of on the awesome buffet. The service is great, all the food is hot, fresh and very well-prepared. Internet access was easy with the low cost access card I purchased at the front desk. There are 3 internet terminals downstairs, and even with kids accessing facebook, etc. it was easy to get right on the internet and the speed was okay. The access card only tracks the time you are actually logged in, which is nice. You can come back later to access your unused internet time at no aitional cost. This is one of the nicest hotels and best values of all the hotels I stayed at in New Zealand. It is definitely one of the best choices for a stay in Queenstown. Lesa meira

The complex is nicely situated on the outskirts of Queenstown with fantastic views of the lake and the remarkables mountain range, you don’t need a room with a view because the best views are from the public areas. The out of town location is ideal for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but be prepared for a steep […] hill clime home if you decide to walk anywhere from the hotel. 정말 위치는 최고 입니다. 저녁 늦게까지 구경하고 시티를 돌아다녀도 어디서간 5~10분안에 호텔로 돌아 올수 있습니다. 호텔의 상태도 좋았고 직원들 친절하고 좋았습니다. 아침식사도 먹을만 했구요. 추천합니다,

Le bus pour la ville passe toutes les 30 min et nous amène devant le shopping en pleine ville. Il suffit de le prendre dans le parking de l'hôtel. Logement à 10 min en bus de la ville, personnels de l'hôtel très accueillant et à l'écoute.
