mjög viðkunalegt hótel í þessum verðflokki. herbergið var lítið en þrif voru allt í lagi. staðsetning var mjög góð fyrir okkur þar sem þetta var bæði heimsókn til vina og verslunarferð,aðeins tók um 5 mínútur að labba niðurí verslunarkverfið.rúmið var mjög gott og það er það sem skiftir máli

I was a bit sceptic going there due to the previous comments. It ts true, the hotel does not have the lift but I got a room at the ground floor ;). Service - very professional, very friendly staff - reliable, try to satisfy the guest and do make you feel comportable. The rooms are eqactly as in the presented pictures en suite with a quite large bathroom […] and bath-shower. I recommend not only if you look for sth cheaper as this hotel rated as 3-star could be given 3,5 stars at least! Lesa meira

"Heating System from Hell"
Hotel is cheap and central. Rooms are perfectly adequate with wardrobe, ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. trouble was, the Central Heating system made an infernal racket for quite a lot of the early hours of the morning making it quite impossible to sleep. This was my second stay here, the first time they (or their computer) made a mistake […] with the bookings and my travelling companion had to be moved to another hotel. I have booked to stay in an Ibis next trip, so it's 3 time unlucky for the Best Western I'm afraid.... Lesa meira

It is a nice hotel but a little too far from conference centre and has no lifts.Otherwise it is a nice and comfortable hotel.

"Best Western: Central and cheap!"
Spent a weekend at this Best Western Hotel. Location was good, near to many amienities and the center of town. Nicely finished and decorated well. Room was comfortable, however it was very small with little floor space due to the oversized bed (for the size of the room). Bathroom was clean and spacious. Hallway smelt like a bin the entire stay. We found […] it slightly inconvienient to have to wait until 2pm for check in. These were only minor complaints and overall we had quite a pleasant stay at this hotel. "Best Western Glasgow - convenient location"
The location was convenient. The staff was adequate if not particulary friendly. The hotel was pretty old. I was given a basement room, which I didn't particularly like though it was quite large. No elevator in the hotel, so big bags were a little difficult to drag up and down the steps.

"Bad standards. Description online is false!"
My first time staying at the Best Western Hotel was around 3 years ago and since then i see that the hotel standards have dropped dramatically. My recent stay at the Best Western was not good at all! The room was not as described on the web page. There is no DVD or CD player and no complimentary water available in the fridge. The staff were rude and […] after arriving at 2pm which was our check in time we were told that we would have to wait another hour before our room was ready. We were told to "go look at some shops" in the rain, which was rude and very bad customer service. There was mold on the shower and the room was not as clean as expected. We stayed on the bottom floor looking onto the street where people could see directly into our window and the noise from traffic in the morning was horrible. When we asked for a later check out as our check in was not ready on time we were told "no". We asked for a CD player and were given a playstation by a maintenance man who then asked if we knew how to set it up! He stayed in our room for 40mins standing on a chair trying to figure out how to work the playstation and eventually we left the room and just let him figure it out. I felt uncomfortable leaving him there. Overall .. our stay at the Best Western was not good and i would not recommend this hotel to anyone as the rooms are dirty, staff are rude and the hotel rooms are not what you see in the pictures online. "Small but pretty good"
No complaints about this place, except that the room was rather small to say the least. Facilities and staff all very good, neighbourhood was reasonable. Certainly fine for a one-night business trip, but I would think twice about staying here for longer or when on holiday.
Very helpful staff and clean comfortable room. We found the location excellent because we wanted to be near the Kelvingrave museum and Glasgow university

This is a great option for staying in Glasgow. Located in the center of Old Town, close to restaurants, bars, shops and train stations; The hotel staff was VERY friendly and helpful. They happened to have a bigger room than what we booked and upgraded us for free! The room was clean, efficient and quite big actually. We didn't have breakfast at the […] hotel becuase we were sightseeing all day long but the restaurant looked pretty nice. I absolutely recommend this hotel. Lesa meira

The standard double room was somewhat small but comfortable. It is satisfactory for an overnight visit but would be tight for a longer stay. The hotel is convenient to shops and resturants and to an underground rail station (Charring Cross).

Hotel was a very good selection to use as a base. It is 10 blocks from the Queen Street Rail station. The Delux Double room is very comfortable and had plenty of room. The staff was freindly and, with one exception, was attentive to our needs. There are plenty of shops and resturants within two or three blocks.
"Value if its cheap"
The price I paid online was very good and I wanted a three day city break. I first room I had was spacious and well decorated, however the small window look directly into an office which made the room dark. The nights sleep was awful as the room seemed to be over a air conditioning unit for the office block next door and kept me awake with whirring […] and clicking all night. I asked for a new room the next day and was very satisfied with the service and was able to move straightaway. My new room was on the third floor (no lift), it was small but still well equipped again and a nice view. The window was an old style wooden slide and as the hotel is next to the very lively "student" night life, the early hrs after Saturday night were again disturbing. Overall the hotel is nice, well equipped, close the rail station, good service, nice bar and lounge area, a NCP car park right next door with discounted rates, and mins walk to Glasgow city Centre so ideal for bars and restaurants however the little things that are not necessarily the hotels fault seem to let it down. I got it really cheap online so it was a great last min deal but if I had to pay 3star Hotel full price I would really not of been happy. Lesa meira

Small, discreet hotel with attractive rooms with some period features. Extremely convenient for town although single glazing in lovely sash windows does mean one hears everything from street level - not for the lighter sleeper. Nice and central and good value. Comfortable bed and big sitting room available. Close to train and underground stations. Ground floor rear room pretty dark, especially as several light bulbs weren't working and weren't replaced although notified to staff. TV channels resticted and reception poor.

This is perfectly acceptable for a 1 night city break. There is parking right next door which if you get reception to stamp the ticket, its half price. The room is hot and the t.v. had a terrible reception but its cheap and fine for a night.

this must be the smallest double hotel room ever we could not pass each other in thr room to pass my wife one of us had to go in the toilet there was about 10" each side of the bed the hotel is in a great position we will not use this hotel again when i asked was told all rooms the same size if this is true and i find hard to believe then the people […] who stay here either have a funny standard or as in our case never go back also was to pricey for this standard Lesa meira

The hotel is quite simple but clean and pleasant. I had a disabled room in the basement, which was spacious but rather stuffy. The disabled shower room had some design features that were rather irritating for an able bodied person - fortunately I'm not very tall, so it was not a major issue and I'm happy to forgive since at least they have disabled […] facilities... The (Ikea!) wall lights without shades were not so nice to look at however, and could easily have been fixed. Minor gripes aside, I had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was quite good, though invariant, so by the end of the week I was rather bored with it. The coffee machine was excellent - lovely late to start the day - shame it was only available at breakfast time. You won't be excited by the view, but the location is fairly convenient for central Glasgow, eating and drinking and the SECC - all within about 15 min walk. All in all, decent value for money. Having booked and paid for delux room upon arrival and seeing room i confirmed with two members of staff asking if this was indeed a delux room to which they assured me it was. Being dissapointed with room we unpacked. Five hours later our television stopped working and another member of staff camr to room but was unable to repair it this was when we […] were told what we had thought all along that our room wasnt a delux but a standard room. After much ado at desk we were moved to a delux room which was more like description etc on website. However twenty mins later we were told we would have to move as room had been booked for other guests.The second room when opening the door two guests were allready in the room. The third room they tried to give us was a disabled room. Now very frustrated and tired from our travelling and wanting to relax we were eventually appointed a room. During all this moveing between rooms we gad to uplift our luggage and belongings ouselves and at no time were we offered any help. The rooms had no air conditioning but we wre told a fan could be provided upon asking for this we were told there were none with the temp 22degrees in room we had to go and purchase one ourselves as the heat in room was unbearable. I asked on several occasions to speak to manageress every time that i was told she would be at desk and i would appear to see here i was always told she wasnt there. I found the staff very unapproachable, unhepfull and an attitude that they couldnt careless. Having lost a close family relation this was to be a relaxing weekend for myself and my cousin when in actual fact we couldnt wait to get home. I will never be returning to this hotel ( well more a guest house ) and i am at this moment in coms with headoffice Lesa meira

My room at this hotel was clean, spacious and nicely decorated with Victorian character. The best part of the hotel is its location. 5 pound taxi ride to either the city centre or to the best pubs and clubs in the westend. Well worth staying at.

The hotel itself was very nice and the rooms were just as good, you don't get much of a veiw, but being in the city centre you can't really expect much of one. The breakfast selection in the morning is also very good. The only thing we didn't like was that there was no parking.

hotel esta como a 15 minutos de la estacion de tren central de glasgow, y de las calles principales donde estan las tiendas,tiene cerca bastante puesto de comida unas calles mas arriba.el desayuno es el escoces completo y la habitacion es confortable y limpia. muy recomendable para pasar unos dias en la ciudad

Många har sagt att rummen är små, detta upplevde inte vi. Vi fick ett jättestort och mycket fint hörnrum på våning tre, dock fanns det ingen hiss, vilket kan vara jobbigt om man har mycket packning. Fönstren är som de flesta fönstren i Storbritannien, alltså inte isolerad vilket gör att det kommer in en del kyla och ljud. Men jag tror inte att det går […] att undvika i detta land.
