"Very convenient, very comfortable!"
Although not sponsored by Squaw Valley Ski Area, this lodge is very close to lifts, shops and restaurants - as in less than a 5-minute walk to everything. And they have a nice covered parking lot for guests. The lodge itself is in great condition - comfortable, well-appointed, well-maintained, and convenient.
"Great Customer Service"
Was a great place to stay, off season so not a lot of traffic. Room was cold when arrived but nothing the heater and fireplace didnt solve. Front desk associate was great, extremely helpful. For dinner try Graham's, was excellent recommendation from front desk and we were not disappointed.(In walking distance too)

Nice studio room. Well equiped and very comfortable.
"Beautiful location, but . . ."
Our stay was short so we really didn't need all of the amenities of kitchenette, living room space etc. The decor was cute and sparkling clean but the bed was, unfortunately, quite uncomfortable. Although well maintained the building is older and the floors in the room above were squeeky even though the occupants didn't seem to be heavy footed or noisy. "Never Again"
It was awful the smoke detector went off all night. I believe it had low battery.They have no night staff so I left several mesages with answering service with no response. Spoke to staff the next day and they were very rude. Never again.

I was attending a yoga teachers gathering in Squaw Valley and this hotel was beautifully decorated, spotless, quiet and convenient. It had many extra amenities such as free movie rentals, free bike rentals and a fully appointed kitchen. Even though I didn't have the time to use what was offered I appreciated it. Excellent location and staff. One suggestion, if you are arriving at night, get accurate directions as this can be a bit challenging to find.

"Comfortable stay."
We stayed on the 4th of July; had a very relaxing time. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The only down side to the facility is the lack of a swimming pool.
"Poorly Managed"
We had a poor stay: 1. We arrived at 7pm and no one was there. I had to ring a manager up by phone. They did not have our reservation. After much wrangling we got a room. 2. The bed was totally worn out. My wife and I hardly slept. 3. We awoke to a shop vac outside of our window emptying the hot tubs. 4. Therefore we did not get to use the hot tubs. […] We paid extra for a hotel with a spa. 5. When the above was politely expressed to the manager, he could have cared less. Lesa meira
"Red Wolf Lodge - walk to lifts and village life"
Very happy with suite. Good rec room with games, barbecues, 3 spas with 3 different temps, free bikes to ride. No pool however. Otherwise very family friendly. Will stay here again.

Overall the hotel is in a good location and was clean however the hot water did not work in our room and the front desk was unavailable after 5pm to fix the issue.

My husband and I were delighted by our room! It was so clean and comfortable, not to mention adorable! We loved watching the complimentary movie next to the fire. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We will definitely keep this on our list of best places to stay.

"Excellent!"
I'm quite picky about hotels and this one was a jewel that I found - great price, convenient location, clean, comfortable, and large enough for my grown-up son and myself. We had two virtually separate rooms at really nice price. I would rather go there again instead of spending outrageous cost for a higher end hotel with less space and attitude.

"Cozy, quiet and clean"
Loved it. The room even had a jacuzzi bathtub. You can walk everywhere--the car stayed parked the entire stay. Especially loved the club house. We pretty much had it to our selves.

This place is really great! Very clean, staff is very friendly. I love the smell of bacon and eggs being cooked throughout the hotel in the mornings and watching the snow fall outside. :)

"Couldnt Be Better After a Day of Boarding"
Warm, Cozy and a great view of the mountain. One of the 3 hot tubes also has a great view. I watched the grooming machines in the morning while I soaked in the hot tub.

"Very Accommodating"
Even though we arrived many hours before check-in time, the hotel staff was very nice and allowed us to get into our room. Everything was clean and our room had everything we needed. Hotel is just a quick walk to slopes. Excellent stay!

"Warm Welcome for Weary tTaveller"
I had travelled for two days by car to get there, arrived later than I expected,and after the office had closed. There was a phone link to an answering service for people who were checking in after office hours and as I was preparing to use it one of the staff members opened the door and offered to let me in. Apparantly she was working late and saw […] me outside. She gave me my room keys, and suggested I defer check in until the following morning. When I told her I had an early conference and may not be able to check in until noon, she assured me that "we trust you", and that I could check in at my convenience. This was my first (and very favorable) impression. During the remainder of my stay the staff were consistently gracious and accomodating. This type of service is memorable, and will definitely be a factor in my decision regarding future choice of hotels in this area. Lesa meira

"Above and Beyond Expectations!"
It was fabulous! The location could not be better. The kitchen had a fridge, microwave, dishwasher etc. Even the dishes stocked in the cabinets were good quality and clean! The wireless was fast and easy to use too. The staff was SO friendly. I'll definitely stay here again! It's close to bike paths, trails, cable rides, etc. So fun!
"Great Place, Great family vacation"
We had a great time at Lake Tahoe, and our 1 bedroom condo at Red Wolf Lodge was perfect. Not only did we have our own small kitchen, but access to gas grills on the deck. A sunset BBQ at Squaw Valley is something to experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and I loved the fact that they had loaner bicycles available. Not the best bikes […] in the world, but fine for cruising the nearby bike trail, which is one of the most scenic trails I've ever ridden. Great place to stay! Lesa meira

The decor was perfect for Squaw Valley. It's so close (walking distance0 to shops and restaurants.

"Awesome Hotel"
Very close to Squaw Village. Great kitchen with all the amenities, very clean, 3 hot tubs, free wireless internet, great all around. The only small complaint is the murphey bed mattress was slightly uncomfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel!

we though that the was great for for the price but was diapointed about the a/c unit in the room there was one unit and it was in the living room so it got very warm in the bedroom other then that i wil return
