Starfsfólkið lagði sig allt fram um að aðstoða mig eins og það gat. Einnig var jákvætt hversu auðvelt var að bóka á netinu. Það sem mér finnst að mætti bæta er að hægt sé að láta hótelið vita að maður þurfi transport frá flugvelli og að hægt sé að panta skutluna fyrirfram. Þurfti smá leiðbeiningu um það hvar ég ætti að hringja á hótelið og hvert ég ætti að fara til að hitta á skutluna.

The Eixample suburb was created 1860–1920 and consequently holds the city’s finest Modernist buildings. The Passeig de Gràcia is the main artery, its wide pavements lined with designer shops and chic cafes. It is also home to Gaudí’s two fairy-tale masterpieces, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, plus many other architectural gems. The undoubted star of the Eixample is La Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s fabulous unfinished emblematic church.

Hotel itself was conveniently located and well presented. Room looked well & was clean, but was too hot and heating system not working properly so temperature couldn't be amended. Breakfast not included and expensive. While staff were professional, I found it quite impersonal compared to hotels I have stayed in at home. Overall, I wouldn't consider […] it to be at the level I had expected given that it was a 4 star hotel with a 4.6 customer rating when I made the online reservation. Lesa meira

Service was extraordinary. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Helped us select a place for spending new year´s eve and provided tons of useful information and suggestions. Hotel is quite good, new furniture, clean and practical. What you would expect for the price and grade. centric enough but not in the main tourist streets, so does not suffer from […] noise from crowds . 2 blocks from Rambla de Cataluña, 4 blocks from the Bus Turistico and 3 blocks from a Metro Station. 15 minute walk to Sagrada familia 30 minute walk to the sea, A bit towards the north for the main tourist sites. 1 block from cerveseria catalana, a GREAT place for having a Catalonian breakfast to start the day, or also great for dinner on your way to the hotel. The hotel was really handy as you could take the train direct from barcelona airport to place de garcia, and then be just few minutes walk from the hotel. There is place to eat near by. We ask for a quiet room and it was really quiet. The jakussy at the top with the cocktail bar was really nice.

The staff was very helpful and professional.
We were tourists and the majority of the guest seemed to be with large groups having their meetings in the hotel. Roof top terrace was lovely but every night we were there there was a corporate event preventing us from using it.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night following our return to Barcelona from a cruise. We had originally been scheduled to stay this night at Hotel Espana near Las Ramblas (which is where we stayed for two nights prior to our cruise) but after our experience at Hotel Espana we cancelled that reservation and booked our last night at Barcelona […] Center Hotel. First I will say that this hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Las Ramblas and the neigborhood it is in is pretty quite and not a whole lot going on. However, other than the location, this hotel was head and shoulders above Hotel Espana in terms of the room size, room quality and cleanliness, and hotel service. Hotel rooms in europe are known for being quite a bit smaller than what we're used to in the U.S. but I will say that our room at Barcelona Center Hotel were just as spacious as we would expect to see in the US and this was a pleasant suprise to us. The bathroom was also a great size and seemed very luxurious. The ceilings in our room were high which also gave the room a more spacious feel. There is a great rooftop deck with a bar and two jacuzzi tubs. There is no swimming pool, but the sundeck was beautiful. The hotel staff helped us find restaurants we would like and also booked a taxi ride to the airport for us early in the morning and made sure to book a taxi company that would accept credit cards which we were very appreciative for. Although it can be nice to be a bit closer to Las Ramblas, this hotel is only about 15 minutes walk away and the bang for your buck that you will get at this hotel vs. a similar hotel closer to Las Ramblas is more than worth the walk. The previous hotel we stayed at right off Las Rablas (Hotel Espana) was more expensive and the rooms were tiny and the service unfriendly. If we ever come back to Barcelona, this will definitely be the hotel we stay at and we highly recommend it. Lesa meira

"Good but not great"
We stayed for a couple of nights at Barcelona Center and were really looking forward to a nice hotel. While the location is great (and safe) and the staff were polite, it is a fairly lengthy walk to the metro (Diagonal station). The lobby and reception areas were very pleasant and refined, but the room, while not dirty or disheveled, was somewhat smaller […] and more simple than we expected. In truth, we have stayed in cheaper and lower rated hotels that were more enjoyable. At the same time, if the price is good, it is worth returning to Barcelona Center. Lesa meira
"Barcelona Center Hotel - well located"
The hotel is near some of the best eating spots and architecture in the city and only a couple of blocks away from 2 metro entrances. Hotel staff was curteous and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. Nice roof top for enjoying a drink before/after going out. Some of the hotel a little run down in spots, but overall a great stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very close to Passeig de Gracia so caught a train straight from airport to local station and just had to walk two blocks up and two across. Convenient for tourist bus (both red and blue routes). Quiet and lots of local places to eat. breakfast was expensive - (exchange rate makes everything seem a bit pricey in spain at […] the moment) but there is a local supermarket just over the road which is open 24h a day. Staff were extremely helpful and speak great english but also allowed me to practice my spanish and learn a little catalan. there is no pool but they have 2 jacuzzis on the roof terrace which we didnt discover at first. "courteous, professional, just what you want"
Staff was great.. Hotel is at the fringe of rambla... Top.. And business area. Felt safe even walking at midnight. Room was well tailored onternet was easy.. Spacious and helpful staff. 2 city blocks (one north one east) from subway. Being at top pf rambla.. It was quieter..and an easy tourist walk to all areas of the city. They had parking.. A bit […] pricy.. But it is a city... They brought the car to me whe needed and i left it in their hands most of our 4 day 3 nighr stay. Well worth the money, as we stayed in comperable cost places in south france.. And this was by far the best... 20 minute walk to waterfront of Rambla.. And we are two 60 year-olds. "The Barcelona center hotel - go for it!"
The location of the hotel was splendid! the eixample area is the probably one of the nicest in town, whereas quite a few of the must-see sights are very close by (Pedrera, Casa Battlo etc). Moreover the magnificent (and alway packed) cerveceria catalana (fine place for tapas, beer etc) is only a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. As for the hotel itself: […] the outside and the entrance make a good impression and the reception is always friendly and eager to help. when we got to the hotel (12:00) our room was ready but when we found ourselves in the room we discovered that we had no street view at all. we requested a new room and the staff made sure we got one a couple of hours later. Indeed the new room (503) was both larger and provided a great street-view! the room was (kept) clean although it strikes me as odd that they didn't change the sheets during our 3 night stay. all in all the hotel proved a great pick (given the price). we didn't try the breakfast which was rather expensive - besides, there is a wide selection of small bistros in the neighbourhood where one can enjoy breakfast at much better prices while skipping the typical hotel buffet. We visitied Barcelona in April but they were experiencing warm weather at the time. The hotel would not turn on the air conditioners for the rooms because it was outside their schedule of months that allowed air condtioning. We had to open our windows to cool off but it was extreamely noisy due to the streeet traffic.

Very nice hotel, especilly for normal Spanish standards. Quite big room and well decorated. Free internet but not free breakfast (quite expensive). The location is quite great as they are a 10 min walk from Plaza de l'universidad. also, 15 minutes from Las Ramblas. Good choice. I woul dcome back for sure

"Great location in Barcelona!!"
The hotel was recommended to me by my brother who stayed at the hotel Oct or Nov 2009 and he liked it. The hotel is in the center of all the sightseeing locations in Barcelona and on a very good street according to a family friend who lives there. The room was big, clean, free internet access was a big plus for me. The hotel employees were very nice […] and when I needed to print my boarding pass, all I had to do was email it to the reception desk and they printed it for me. I would highly recommend it. I did have room service once and the pizza I ordered was a very good size for one person and delicious! Lesa meira

"Nice Room-Hard Bed"
The room was nice and spacious with a really nice bathroom. The location was in a busy downtown location but it is a little far to walk to Las Ramblas. The deal breaker for me was the beds. They were hard as a brick. It was like sleeping on a concrete floor. My husband and I could not sleep all night. I'm glad we only had to stay one night.

I wish I had booked this hotel for both nights in Barcelona. Other hotel was good, but this one was way better. Great service. Great location. Quiet and quaint.

Our room was beautiful. This room was comparable to an upscale hotel in the US. The room was big, the bathroom was big. We wished we had stayed here before our cruise & not just after. We would definitely stay there again!

The room is nice and clean and the reception staff was helpful. It just a bit too far from the metro, but it is accessable to bus stops.

Overall, staff was pleasant, however one staff member was not very courteous and placed us in a smoking room when we asked for a non-smoking room. Restaurant in the hotel was good.

We stayed here for our first night in Barcelona and we wished we had a few more. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was great-right near the main shopping/sightseeing area. Would recommend it to a friend.

j'ai réservé mon hotel à l'avance en demandant une chambre non fumeur avec grand lit et surtout pas à côté de l'ascenseur pour être au calme. Résultat, j'arrive avec chambre lit double et juste en face de l'ascenseur...et pas une excuse sur mes demandes. "Bom hotel, porém com alguns pontos negativos"
O front desk foi impecável durante a estadia nos auxiliando na localização de restaurantes, transportes, etc. Houve entretanto uma falha na reserva do pequeno almoço que gerou muito constrangimento no segundo dia da estadia e fomos recebidos na zona de pequeno almoço como "larápios". Outro ponto negativo é a casa de banho do quarto. Uma vez que não […] existe uma "cortina" de protecção no duche a casa de banho estava sempre com o piso todo molhado uma vez que a água do duche alcançava outras zonas da mesma. O hotel tem um terraço com uma boa vista e jacuzzi ao ar livre! Fomos atendidos por um bartender (meio Brasileiro meio Português) super simpático e profissional. Lesa meira

L'hôtel est très bien situé et proche de beaucoup de sites touristiques. Il est à 5 minutes à pied de la Pedrera et 15 à 20 minutes de la Rambla. La chambre était très bien et correspondait à nos attentes. Les employés parlent français et anglais donc pas de souci de compréhension ou de surprise. Le seul point négatif est le prix du parking (22 euros/jours) […] mais cela est pareil dan toute grandes villes. Un hôtel que je conseil fortement pour un weekend à Barcelone. Lesa meira

Voulant vivre à l'heure espagnole nous nous sommes présentés au petit déjeuner à 10 h30 mais à partir de 10h 50 les serveurs ont commencé à tout enlever. Il a donc été impossible de se resservir comme on le désirait et de boire calmement un dernier petit café.

Tres bien placé calme et propre, un seul mot : PARFAIT! à recommander Parking un peu cher et petit déjeuner non testé car il existe de nombreuses patisseries dans le quartier.
