The lady who checked me in was not friendly. She almost threw my key at me. Other than the check in, my stay was fantastic. I dined in the restaurant and the food and service was great. I would definitely stay at the Grand Intl again.

For the price of the room I expected it to be a lot nicer. The roof air conditioner roared very loudly in our room. The pool was so cold that the kids spent longer in the bathtub in their swimming suits than they did the pool. We stayed there many times in the 90's and it was very good, but not much has been updated since then.

The staff at the Grand International was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean except for the carpet which was extremely dirty & looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for quite a few days & there were brown stains on the top sheets. The food that was served at the restaurant was really good but when we ordered take out & arrived at our room all […] that was in the containers was the meat, no rice potatoes or vegetables. Even with the flaws & lack of food I would stil reccommend this hotel because I enjoy being greeted by happy smiling faces when I enter a business. Lesa meira

The cleanliness of the rooms was disgusting where we found a pair of gotch left behind by a previous guest and the carpet was not vacuumed. One of the days our room was left uncleaned and had to find clean towels for the next day. The beds had the covers thrown across rather than made in a proper fashion. Was not worth the money spent!

Although it may have once been "Grand", this hotel is past its prime. The parking lot was littered with cigarette butts The woman at the checkin counter barely spoke a word, printed off my registration form, and slid it across the counter to me saying only "Sign at the bottom." No smile, no please or thank you. No information provided about the hotel, […] its amenities, etc. The hallways needed vacuuming quite badly, but the room itself was fairly clean, although the ventilation and bathroom fans were quite noisy. The TV predates flat screens. There is only one elevator to the "3rd" floor, which is actually the floor right above the entrance level. It can be a long walk to your room, as the hotel is quite large. On the plus side, the food was good in the newly redecorated ground-floor restaurant and the service was friendly. The arcade area looked like a party had gone on, the floor had all sorts of garbage on it. The pool was nice and big which was good cause my kids could stay on one end of the pool while the young adults drink and partied on and in the other end of the pool. Our room and the rest of the hotel was clean and well taken care of. Would go back here if we […] could get a better deal on the price but will not be back for the price that it was and what we got. The hotel was very nice, the room was very nice, however the bedding was full of dog hair, brought up new bedding, just sheets, walked downstairs to front desk, they brought up a clean comforter, but we had to change the bedding ourselves and they never brought our extra pillows we ordered. I contacted the front desk several times and in the morning […] told the front desk again. They didn't seem to really care. Lesa meira

I love staying at this hotel. It has the memory foam mattress and very nice clean spacious rooms. It even has a beautiful view from many of the rooms. The restaurant is very nice.
We were in the older part of the hotel. Rooms were clean and amenities were good. We enjoyed the 24 hour restaurant.
"Think again"
The room were spacious. The hotel is older and needs some work. The "fitness facilities" room was half the size of my room and the equipment needed maintenance. Parking is terrible and the parking lot is very poorly lit. This place is too expensive for what you get.

I love the bowed shower rod for extra room in the bathroom, but the door was too close to the outside sink. The extra toilet paper was hidden behind the towels on the top rack. I had to ask the staff to get me an extra one not knowing I already had one up there. Had an HD TV in the suite but couldn't figure out how to get the universal remote to turn […] it on--hotel staff couldn't do it either--had to turn it on and off manually. "good place"
I have stayed here many times, and the rooms are very comfortable. Resturant is open 24 hours which is very helpful. The blowdryers in some of the rooms are from the 1950s and don't work really well, so I have learned to bring my own. The hotel is nice, a little spendy for some of the older rooms, but comfortable and worth it.

"Hotel in Poor Condition, Service Poor, Room Great"
I chose this hotel because it was the most expensive in the area hoping for a nice stay. The hotel is in very poor condition, floors falling apart, nothing works right. I had to walk to the front desk 4 times because my key wouldn't work! I even had to walk around the building in 30 degree weather because i couldn't get in! I went to the vending machine […] asked for water and got orange powerade, change machine wouldn't work. But the room was nice and the bed was amazing. So i guess once you get in the room your stay is nice, but getting there was a real challenge. Lesa meira
"AVERAGE ROOM"
I got a cheeper room then I booked and paid for. the hotel did NOT save a room for the night before as we reserved and were told we could NOT get one for this night also, so I booked online. As it turned out, they lied, as they had plenty of rooms, but I overpaid by going online...what a joke.
"If you don't mind it dirty..."
The airport shuttle, though notified one hour prior and again when the flight arrived, did not arrive until the airport was all but deserted. This is a very small airport and the hotel is just across the highway. The renovations boasted about in this hotel's webpage had nothing to do with my room. There are many great old hotels, but this one is shabby […] and not very clean. Peeling rust on the bottom of the bathroom door; a bathroom fan that is so loud it sounds like an egg beater on crack! The carpet had little piles of dirt in the corners and along the beds (including a couple of straight pins!). The mirrors were streaky and fingerprints were apparent on door, drawers, and other surfaces. Layers of dust on the bed headboard and dust and cobwebs on the lamps. If I could be present when housekeeping showed up some improvement would occur. Talked with the front desk about changing bed linens, getting an extra luggage stand, and getting more than two sets of towels with 3 guests registered to the room. Result? During a 9-day stay, we got clean sheets twice; no luggage stand and we were told that towels were difficult to come by because they were at capacity, but that some towels were presently in the wash and would be available later. We all just waited until that evening to have a shower. Upon departure I asked for a receipt and was told that because I reserved the room online I would get my receipt by email. I have been home 4 days and have yet to receive a receipt of any kind from the hotel. Lesa meira
