Tuscany Wine Estate Resort – Pokolbin

This property has a beautiful, peaceful outlook over paddocks and vines. Our room had a small terrace with table and chairs overlooking this view; perfect for travellers looking for a country escape. Although […] there was a night wedding and the music drifted across to the accommodation, our bed was so comfortable that we drifted off despite the low-level noise. we were only staying for one night before we moved on to meet up with friends. The rooms were nice and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. On the premises there is a lovely opportunity to wine and dine, a nice relaxing tapas bar and a nice relaxing views. I would go back!

Overall everything was fantastic. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was great, the pillows- not so much. The breakfast was excellent, apart from the scrambled eggs which were almost like soup with so much milk added. We had booked for three but the room had only been set up for two, evn though this had been confirmed twice. When we got into the room the floors had not been cleaned and there was dirt all over the entry way. We went to make up the third bed and when the doona was pulled out a lighter and used napkin fell out. When we complained and asked for it to […] be changed we were told that they were not sure if they had another one, although she did come and take it away and return a short time later we were told to take a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience. When we checked out we were asked to pay for the room again, even though it had been booked though expedia and paid in advance and we were billed for the bottle of wine as no note had been left. Staff seemed very unconcerned about the state of the room. Also the room had large cracks down the walls which appeared to be moldy and had large cracks around the doors. The situation of the hotel and the bathroom were both very good, and the staff in the restaurant for breakfast were very friendly. Lesa meira

Nice enough accommodation but far too expensive for what it is. Also, ate at the restaurant and would not recommend it......took over 2 hours to have 2 courses and the main course was so salty it couldn't be eaten.

The views from the rooms are splendid. The room is clean and spacious, and the shower is perfect! Pitty the kitchen was shut by 845pm but overall, great stay and would def recommend to others.

Enjoyed our stay, staff a bit vague at times, housekeeping forgot to replace toilet paper and no spares in room. Restaurant and staff excellent , food great and the view wonderful.

Would not class this Hotel as a 4 star! The accomadation is very tired and basic. We did have a lovely meal in the Restaurant. Seeing the Kangaroos so close to the accomadation was lovely.

A lovely location. Seeing kangaroos grazing and watching the hot air balloons float past in the early morning was lovely. However the cost of a room was very expensive for what it is. I guess the fact that it was a concert weekend meant that the price was inflated but i would not stay there again for that price.

Hotel had everything we needed and even threw in kangaroos that come out in the late afternoon. Only two issues we had was the hard bed and the air conditioners placement. The hard bed where we felt the springs is self-explanatory and made for an uncomfortable stay. The air conditioner was mounted on the wall above the bed and blew directly on the bed. […] A bit rough to be under direct cold air. Otherwise a great find in the Hunter Valley. And great views. We'd stayed here last year but had forgotten the name, so before we headed up to the Hunter Valley again we checked out all the Hotels in the region, and selected this one based upon convenience/location, looks and price. Lo and behold as we got closer and eventually up to the front door, we realized we'd stayed here the year before. Great stay - again […] :) This year the vineyard view as opposed to the other side last year, but equalky good room. There are also a couple of great restaraunts in the same complex, one that is greatr for Tapas, Pizza, Ice cream etc, and the other a beautiful restaurant (where breakfast is served). This hotel is terrible...you would think with the price you pay that it would be of a high standard, but it is not much better than a motel. The walls are so thin you could think that your neighbours are inside your room. Some of the staff were helpful, but the staff in the restaurant at breakfast are terrible...at one stage we had to go and find the […] coffee ourselves to fill up our cups. Will not be returning to this hotel, and will be telling others that it is not anywhere near good enough for the money you have to pay. Lesa meira

nice room for family, enough room once we opened up the sofa bed, my daughter enjoyed seeing the kangaroos at morning and sunset. Happy with breakfast

This resort is in a beautiful stretch of Hunter Valley, surrounded by vinyards.. The hotel has several wings of rooms, all at ground level, all facing a lovely garden where one can watch the kangaroos graze at sunset. Each room has a small private terrace with table and 2 chairs overlooking the lawn and pond. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. […] There is a swimming pool, and restaurant for breakfast ( make sure it's included in your room rate) and dinner. There are also plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, plus, many wine estates that offer wine tasting. The rooms also have enough space for a pull-out bed to accomomdate a family of 4. We stayed there twice, both times we had a marvellous time. We highly recommend it. Lesa meira
