Hampton Inn & Suites Barstow – Barstow

We were driving from Albuquerque to Los Angeles and reached a point where we had to stop. We weren't expecting much but this hotel was awesome. The front desk was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, clean and quiet and the breakfast was very good with quality, healthy items. If necessary, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I had high expectations after reading the good reviews and decided to take it. Well these expectations lead to some disappointments. Before my complains, I would like to give credits to the staff -- they were all friendly. A fat cockroach greeted me when I stepped into the room. The front desk apologized and switched me to a different room. What is […] called fitness room has just three cardio machines -- one eclipse, one bike and one treadmill. Skim milk of the breakfast tasted funny. A staff member quickly acknowledged it and brought new milk. This made me wonder they knew the milk might be problematic and wishfully thought things could be okay. The sliced fruits also tasted funny and were definitely NOT fresh. Oh one more thing. A fairly new hotel and found the room to be very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was modern and in very good condition.

The only thing negative I will say about the stay is I couldn't get the view I had requested, the person behind the counter was not very friendly.

The hotel was very clean and the staff extremely helpful. The room was clean, the HD TV worked well and the complementary wireless service worked well. The hotel is located close to an Outlet Mall and a number of restaurants. For my wife and I, this was a stop-over point on a multi-day trip. I am sure we will use this hotel again for future trips.

Stayed here for Black Friday shopping at Outlet Malls was close to everything.

Very nice hotel and great staff. Enjoyed the complimentary snacks upon arrival. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi after the long drive.

Cannot complain, very comfortable room, so good we stayed on the way to Arizona and back from a big trip. Would stay there again no problem.

There's something about coming in from a long road trip and walking into an extremely clean room. You can tell that the housekeeping at this place has been trained well. They just clean on a different level and everything was perfect. It was a totally enjoyable experience. Huge room too. We got the two queen suite and it was really spacious.

My highest compliments go to the hotel staff. Each and every one that I encountered was herlpful and friendly. The hotel was SPOTLESS, the service could not have been any better and the decor was perfect without being overdone. If you are in the area this is a perfect place to stay.

We had the suite, modern looking, clean, large room! Quiet room and nice mountain view. Hotel is located next to small outlet mall. Not much to do in the neigbourhood but shopping.

Upon check-in we were upgraded to a suite because I mentioned we were a party of 4 adults. Awesome! They also serve cookies, ice tea, water and lemonade all day and into the evening. Nice touch!

On the road all day, nice to see the Hampton sign, check-in good experience, was able to get list of local eateries from the front desk, very nice breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend.

Our room was big in size, so we could spread out. The bathroom was clean & fresh. We had a lovely view. The pool was a welcome relief.

Everything about this hotel was a pleasant surprise. We picked it because it was half way between home and our destination. It was a great deal more than just a good bed! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, they greeted us with lemonade and cookies, and helped us find a dinner restaurant that was nearby and had what we wanted. It is located in […] front of the outlet mall, but was not noisy or too busy. We even walked over to the mall to check it out- something I certainly did not plan on doing. We were traveling to Texas and stopped in Barstow for the night. The room was clean, staff was courteous, beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was just what we wanted. I definitely liked the fact that they even had bagged breakfasts for you to take with you.

Room was very clean. The bed very comfortable. The staff friendly. The breakfast was just ok. The oatmeal was not cooked properly and the oats were under cooked and the pot full of water. They ran out of the tea I drink.

I am traveling with my 80 year-old mother and had requested a handicap accessible room with a bath seat for the shower. Pam the manager was kind enough to escort me personally through the rooms she had available to best accommodate my mother. She didn't have to do that and the room was great. When my mother accidentally left her dental bridge in the […] room she made arrangements to have it to sent to our hotel in Las Vegas.
