Really enjoyed our stay there. Everybody was lovely and although Marrakech is a lovely place, it was nice to get some peace and quiet in this riad.
"Poor"
This hotel is certainly not the star rating that is claimed by many websites. At most it is a 3 star hotel, and there are many aspects that are below that standard, such as the location, and the fact that much of the hotel is in need of repainting and general maintenance. Stay, but expect funny smells, peeling paint, relatively expensive rides to and […] from the city, overpriced food (included breakfast is limited). Also I had weird flea type bite marks appearing for a few days after staying. The staff were quite pleasant, if a little unresponsive. Overall, try somewhere else. Lesa meira
"Very pretty hotel but ...."
It is very pretty with friendly staff. We booked a standard room and this fell far short of four star standards in our opinion. It was very small and felt claustrophobic with no outside space. We asked to change rooms and were given a nice suite with a small balcony (although too small to sit out on). The hotel is as stated by many people literally […] in the middle of nowhere and if you don't have a car you are completely dependant on taxis or the unreliable shuttle service that left us stranded in the middle of Marakech in intense heat! The hotel charge a government tax at approximately £3 per person per night, which they don't tell you about and if you are a family and are there for several nights could work out quite expensive, I feel they should inform guests either on arrival or it should be made clearer when booking. We booked half board and the food was quite good, however, and this was the main problem to us the drinks are extremely expensive, approx £2.75 for a can of diet coke, £4 for a small and only 3/4 full glass of wine and £16 for a bottle of wine! The bottled water was very over priced too which is very unfair as you need lots of water in the extreme heat of Marrakech. It would be a good idea if the hotel put together a drinks package or looked again at their prices. Marrakech itself was as expected, completely mad! Be prepared for the most hassle you will have exerienced anywhere, we have travelled lots and are used to being harrassed particularly in places like Egypt and Turkey but this was far worse than anything we have experienced. If you can ignore all this then the medina is a fascinating place. If you are an animal lover you may find it really difficult, we saw monkeys on chains, very under fed donkeys and lame horses being cruelly whipped. This hotel is a lovely escape from the hustle and noise of Marrakech. We were initially apprehensive about the location (as it is 15 minutes away from the town centre by taxi) but found that we appreciated the quiet surroundings and space that the hotel grounds afforded. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly and seemed genuinely concerned […] about the quality of our stay. The hotel facilities were in good condition, with the pool area a particular highlight. Our room was spacious, comfortable and cleaned daily although more storage space would have been ideal. We ate at the hotel restaurant a number of times and were impressed with the quality of ingredients - the lamb tagine was the best we sampled throughout the holiday! Breakfast was equally good with a varied mix of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, pastries and bread. Overall a very happy stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to be close enough to explore Marrakech but wants a relaxing retreat to head to at the end of each day. "fantastic hotel"
I love travelling though am very critical of hotels.However could not fault this one! We stayed here for four days and really loved it. The rooms are amazing, we were all lucky enough to be upgraded to suites which had lovely plush furniture and decor and a great bathroom. The hotel is great value for money. It was very clean, staff were all very friendly […] and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. To get into town you can take the hotel's shuttle bus. It is 25-50DH per person(depending on number in group)It only runs till 8 at night but we used the local taxis to return.(Do not pay more than 100dh for this).A useful tip is to take a hotel business card with you with the hotel address written in Arabic on the back(Staff very happy to assist you with this) as it is a little out of the centre. Marrakech is such a busy and hectic place we actually enjoyed the fact that our hotel was a little out of the centre as it was a calm retreat to return to after a busy day taking in the sights. The hotel is beautifully designed and built with great respect for the natural vegetation and the original olive grove. It is out of town which in the case of Marrakesh is an advantage in terms of space, silence and peace after a day of sightseeing in the buzz of the city. It is lovely to wake up in the morning and have breakfast in the garden or on […] your private terrace. The Hammam is excellent and very well staffed. Generally the service was outstandingly good, caring and friendly. The only change I would recommend is in the lighting of the rooms, where the generous living areas were quite somber in the evening and some more transparent glass in the doors & windows to the outside to get more natural light in the daytime. Highly recommended particularly to travelers with a car. (We did not experience the public transport options to get to and from the hotel.) Lesa meira
"La Maison Des Oliviers - tranquil and beautful"
A beautiful hotel, very peaceful despite being fully booked while we were there. We booked the cheapest room, but it was still stunning - very roomy, decorated in a traditional Moroccan way and with our own private garden complete with olive trees. We were really shocked that we'd found such a lovely place for such a low price. The pool is beautiful […] and never got busy, and we liked that the hotel was a bit of a maze with unique rooms dotted about everywhere. Multilingual staff were always happy to help, and were very friendly and relaxed. The hotel is a 15-20 minute drive out of town, but the hotel's shuttle bus can be booked through the day and is relatively cheap - taking you to Jemaa el Fna (or another city centre location if you ask nicely). The last shuttle leaves at 8:00pm but taxis will take you to the hotel after that. Make sure you have the hotel address with you because it's not a common place for the taxis to go to. Even when getting back in the early hours of the morning, the staff are on hand to let you into the hotel grounds. We did start to feel a little unsafe when in the city after about 11:00 pm, and the hotel seems to shut down after this time, so we generally tried to be back by then. We had massages and gommages in the hotel's hammam and we'd thoroughly recommend them! The food at the hotel is quite expensive and there aren't any shops nearby, but the food in the city is cheap and good quality. We had a lovely holiday at this hotel - we'd recommend it to anyone. Very warm welcome by friendly family run hotel, the people couldn't be more helpful.. Rooms ok with beautiful big double showers but use the showers and because of the wall attachments they spray all over the bathroom, so then hold the shower head in your hand, that doesn't work either because the floor floods anyway with blocked drains. The other problem […] we found was that being in the middle of no where, we struggled a bit with the hotel bar being closed for for the afternoon, between lunch and dinner-and not opening til 7.30pm and my last moan was the pool bar food could be so much better...especially for the price...lovely pool though, not as big as we thought but still nice. Restaurant food not too bad and breakfast was yummy, with lots to choose from. Overall view, definately going to stick to the riads in town if I go to Marrakech again :) Lesa meira

Really nice hotel,staff are friendly and helpfull.We didn't like the standard room,as the bathroom wasn't to our standard,so we upgraded to a suite. This is well worth doing,as you will get double shower,balcony and sofa.Pool area is really realaxing and clean. Hotel provides pool towers,so don't take them out from your room.

We stayed here for one week and really loved it. The rooms are amazing, we had a senior suite which had lovely plush furniture and decor and an amazing large, stone bathroom with a double shower. It is a great value place and I would recommend upgrading to half board as even if you want to go out of an evening you can use your half board for either […] lunch or dinner and what I loved so much about this was the fact that you could order a la carte which is quite unusual for half board. The steak and duck were delicious. The hotel was very clean, staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The mojitos are delicious and there are also some great wines. To get into town you will need to pay for a taxi but it is only 50DH per person on the hotel's shuttle bus and Marrakech centre is such a busy and hectic place we actually enjoyed the fact that our hotel was a little out of the centre as it was a calm retreat after visiting the centre. The new owners are also a lovely couple who paid a lot of attention to us and made sure that we had a wonderful stay. Lesa meira

This is an amazing hotel if your aim is to relax and isolate yourself from the busy city. Very luxurious, clean, friendly people, very quiet. If you have your own car, this would definitely be the best hotel to go to, otherwise it could cost you around 10 euro's pp for transfer from hotel to city. This is not because its so far from the city, but more […] because normal taxi's don't go there so you would have to go with the transport the hotel arranges for you. There are no shops nearby. It is really isolated, but you can eat and drink at the hotel obviously, which is around 20-25 euro's for a full course dinner. Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce très bon hôtel. Certe l'emplacement et le quartier ne sont pas terrible mais l'hôtel en lui même est de très bonne qualité. Le service est irréprochable. La piscine très belle. Seul le restaurant mériterai d'être mieux insonorisé (ça résonne énormément)

Jeg og min veninne bodde på Maison des Olivers i tre netter og følte virkelig at vi var på ferie! Dette hotellet er virkelig som en avslappende oase i utkanten av marrakesh. Eneste ulempen er beliggenheten, men for 25diram blir du kjørt inn til sentrum på kun 15minutter. Flott basseng, solsenger, og restaurant. Alt samsvarer med bildene på nettet. Frokosten […] synes vi også var svært god, spesielt i forhold til alle det var så mye forskjellig. Resepsjonen var veldig hjelpsom, i tillegg var alle andre som jobbet der også veldig smilende og hyggelige. "Eine erholsame Oase am Rande Marrakeschs"
Das Hotel ist ca. 6 km außerhalb des Zentrums von Marrakesch. Die letzten 400 m der Zufahrt sind etwas befremdlich (eine bucklige Staubpiste). Innerhalb des Hotels meint man sich in eine altmarokkanische Kasbah versetzt zu fühlen, allerdings mit dem Luxus eines 4-Sterne-Hotels: Geräumige Zimmer, riesige Badezimmer, Terrasse und beheizter Pool im gepflegten […] Garten. Das Frühstück war eher durchschnittlich. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Lesa meira

Dette hotellet ligger 6km utenfor marrakech, det er ingenting spesielt rundt det og ein må bruke taxi for å komme seg rundt. På siden står det at det ligger 700m fra sentrum.

Nous avons sejourné dans cet hôtel pendant 4 jours, nous avons choisi une chambre standard, je vous la déconseille car pas digne d'un 4 étoiles, nous avons demandé de changer de chambre contre un supplément pour une suite, dans un premier temps le receptionniste a refusé disant que l'hôtel etait complet, 1h après nous sommes revenus demandé à changer […] mais cette fois ci au gérant qui nous a gracieusement surclassé dans une suite qui n avait rien à voir! Merci encor! Pour la restauration c est vraiment très bon mais les prix français, le menu 25€! Pour le Maroc c est abusé. En terme de proximité, c est loin de partout, il y a une navette qui nous dépose et nous emmene au prix de 2,5€ par personne mais elle n'etait jamais disponible et fonctionne que jusqu'à 20h! Et 1 taxi de l'hotel à la place jemaa el fna c est 10€ min !!! Ca fait 1 sacré budget transport pour 1 week end! Hotel à conseiller pour rester à l hotel et surtout prendre la demi pension ca revient moins cher mais vraiment loin de tout minimum 15 min en voiture pour aller à la Medina! Lesa meira

Very nice hotel for a very nice price! All services available and personall is very friendly. Location of the hotel close to Marrakech, in quite environment. The location seems to be located near cheap subburb but will not harm you at all. Next time I will choose again for this hotel

Maisons d'hôtes absolument charmante répartie en plusieurs Riads dans une ancienne olivereraie. Les suites sont spacieuses et bien aménagées avec une salle de bain magnifique, des produits de bain de grande qualité. Petit jardin privatif avec sa piscine semi-privée partagée avec 2 autres suites. Par chance nous y étions seuls, un vrai plaisir. Une autre […] grande piscine est à la disposition de tous les occupants et les repas du midi y sont servis. La salle de restaurant du soir et du petit déjeuner possède une grande terrasse ou il est très agréable de manger au pied de fontaines. La restauration est excellente et d'un tarif très raisonnable. Le personnel charmant est toujours très disponible à toutes heures. Une navette est à disposition pour l'aéroport (15min) ainsi que pour les ballades à Marrakech ou ailleurs. Il suffit de demander à la réception pour réserver. Tarifs de la navette très corrects. Nous n'avons pas profité du SPA mais si celui-ci est du même ordre que le reste ce doit être fort agréable. Nous y avons passé 3 jours très agréable et nous recommandons la Maison des Oliviers sans hésitations et y retournerons avec plaisir Lesa meira
Nous sommes arrivés à 19h à l hôtel, le taxi ne nous a pas déposé devant l hôtel mais à 400m plus loin, car pour y accéder il y a un chemin de terre en très mauvaise état ! On a du se rendre à pied avec valise, nuit tombante sans éclairage et ai milieu de nullepart , se demandant meme si nous étions au bon endroit ... Taxi et navette un peu trop cher […] ! 20 € en taxi et 10 € en navette aller/retour ! Hôtel très jolie ! Très calme et reposant . Personnel très souriant très sympathique . Méfiez vous de la chambre 502, le ballon d' eau chaude fait un bruit de claquement toute la nuit ! Heureusement pour nous , nous n y avons passé que 2 nuits ! Lesa meira

Hotel trés charmant qui correspond parfaitement aux photos. Trés moderne,typiquement marocain. Complétement ravis de notre séjour, le personnel est au petit soin avec nous ,d'une politesse extraordinaire. L'hôtel est situé à environ 10 minutes de voiture du centre ville mais une navette (payante) est là pour tout nos déplacement. Il y a deux restaurants: […] un le midi à coté de la piscine et l'autre le soir dans un autre cadre qui reste trés charmant. je vous conseil vivement cet hôtel si vous voulez être au calme, dans l'univers marocain. Bodde på hotellet 1 vecka. - Hyfsat fräscht men tråkig slumaktig omgivning. - Maten var OK, dock var servicen i vissa fall klart undermålig och direkt otrevlig (2 av 4 i servicepersonalen var värdelösa medan 2 helt OK). - Mat bara under begränsade tider på dygnet och utan möjlighet till alternativ från närliggande platser. - Bra shuttle service […] till flygplats och in till staden. - OK hammam/spa. - Bäst för vistelser upp till 5 dagar Lesa meira

Le restaurant : une carte variée et de bonne qualité, en particulier le croustillant à la banane au chocolat, ne partez pas sans y avoir gouté !

Bonne adresse, l'arrivée est surprenante car tout était en chantier un peu comme une décharge ! J'ai séjourné dans cet hôtel fin avril 2011 avec 2 enfants. L'accueil, la disponibilité, la gentillesse et le professionnalisme de toute l'équipe nous a permis de passer un agréable séjour. L'hôtel à taille humaine est harmonieusement décoré dans la tradition marocaine, la piscine avec son bar et patio nous a permis de nous détendre dans un cadre verdoyant, […] la chambre (suite) était très propre et spacieuse. l'hôtel propose un hamam très relaxant. Pdej copieux et varié au restaurant ou sur la terrasse. nous avons passer un agreable sejour , tres belle hotel , belle piscine , restaurant tres bon le prix sont relativement élevé. The title says it all, This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed on in this price range. All the receptionists are very friendly, humorous and gives excellent service no matter what problems you may have for them! During my stay I was in two different rooms wich both exceeded all my expectations considering the price I payed for them. […] Every detail of the rooms are well thought throug so the rooms appear big and beautifull. The cleaning personell does an outstanding job every single day so that you never have to feel unfomfortable. As the spring water in Marrakech is not the best for drinking thy always make sure that you have a bottle of water in your room. The hotel has a shuttlebus option that works excellent! The driver does not understand a word of english but are very friendly and tries to keep the conversation going anyway, he always arrive on time! The hotel restaurant serves delicious food, and the waiters gives excellent service! however the restaurant is also the only thing I have a small complain about! The food and drinks are a bit expensive and they dont have a large menu. The hotel can arrange cheap excursions for you wich i really reccomend that you take advantage of! That was one of the best experiences I had in Marrakech! I like to thank all of the personell at La Masion Des oliviers for making my trip to Marrakech a dream vacation! Lesa meira
"La Maison Des Oliviers - trevligt och prisvärt"
Vi var mycket nöjda med vår vistelse på La Maison Des Oliviers. Personalen var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Rummet jättefint och fräscht (vi blev uppgraderade från ett standardrum till en svit). God mat i restaurangen om än något dyr (särskilt jämfört med vad man betalar inne i stan) men frukost ingick och var väldigt bra. Shuttle in till stan för bara […] ca 40 kr t/r per person. Tog ca 15 min att åka. Fin pool, tyvärr iskall eftersom den inte var uppvärmd. Hotellet låg ju mitt ute i ingenstans så runt omkring fanns inte direkt något att göra men perfekt för att vila, läsa och ta det lungt och det var som sagt lätt att ta sig in till stan. Enda minuset var kylan i rummet. Det blev iskallt på kvällarna och den uppvärmning som skulle finnas hjälpte inte mycket. Men på det hela taget var vi mycket nöjda med vistelsen här som vi kominerade med några nätter inne i Marrakech. Lesa meira

"Volveriamos"
Grupo de familia numerosa con tres hijos mayores 17 15 y 11, y una pareja de amigos. Por lo que el servicio de recogida en aeropuerto , se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo y luego son tres viajes los que haces al centro te sale bien de precio. Habitaciones suites fantásticas ,camas comodisimas, incluso las almohadas para exigentes como yo. Mi hija la mayor […] tuvo que quedarse con la cama supletoria que es el sofá de una suite, por un suplemento de risa. Y durmió fenomenal. Al Hotel le falta esa media estrellita pero se lo trabajan, servicio muy bueno, volvería Relación Calidad / Precio. un 10. Y digo en suites pero vale la pena con el bullicio de la medina y alrededores. Lo único desayuno a base de dulce mucho crepes etc, falta salado, pero se esfuerzan e incluso nos hicieron tortillas frescas al gusto. Habitaciones de las mil y una noches...lo peor, la situacion en medio de la nada, pero no la necesitas el Hotel es grande para pasear y es detallista en todo el restaurante, sorprende. Lesa meira

It's a very nice hotel. It's 6 km from Marrakesh but they have a shuttlebus arrangement. It's easy to go to the city. NIce people and great room.

Très bel hôtel peut-être loin du centre de Marrakech mais ils ont une navette moins cher que les taxis locaux. Sinon, c'est un établissement tout droit sorti des mille et une nuit ! très romantique ! le service est souriant et de confiance !
"Un très bel hôtel dans la tradition marocaine"
C'est un très bel établissement, conçu comme les constructions traditionnelles, dans le style et les couleurs de Marrakech : un ensemble de riads, de patios, de fontaines et de verdure, agrémenté d'une piscine. L'accueil a été chaleureux et on nous a offert un surclassement dans une suite spacieuse, agrémentée d'une superbe salle de bain, aménagée […] avec confort et tout le charme d'une belle décoration à l'orientale. Etant en demi-pension, nous avons également apprécié le restaurant : service accueillant et professionnel, décor original, ambiance feutrée et une grande qualité de cuisine avec de belles et bonnes assiettes. Enfin, cerise sur le gâteau, nous avons réservé en fin de journée une séance de hammam et un gommage au savon noir dans la plus pure tradition : un vrai plaisir. Le seul point qui peut étonner un novice à Marrakech, c'est la localisation de l'hôtel à la sortie de la ville, dans un endroit qui ressemble a priori à un no man's land. Ce qu'il faut savoir, c'est qu'à l'exception des riads dans la Médina (vieille ville) et des grands hôtels - dans tous les sens du terme - du centre ville, de nombreux établissements récents sont dans cette situation car la ville, en plein développement, s'étend très rapidement avec une alternance de nouveaux quartiers d'habitations et d'infrastructures touristiques. L'hôtel propose des navettes vers le centre ville, l'aéroport et les lieux touristiques ; ou mieux, vous pouvez louer une voiture pour circuler dans Marrakech - c'est un peu sportif mais on apprend vite - et surtout faire quelques circuits dans les environs, l'Atlas et les villages berbères, qui sont un complément indispensable pour avoir une vision plus complète et plus contrastée de cette superbe région à la population si accueillante.
