"If you like Vegas, it's great. If you don't. . ."
After a vacation to several national parks (which tells you about our vacation priorities), we decided to stay on the Vegas strip one night to see what it was like. The Palazzo is very pretty, and (of course) completely artificial. Our suite was luxurious, but little details weren't taken care of: grime on molding, sticky fingerprints on the TV in the […] sitting area (and the remote didn't work), carpet by the bed hadn't been swept. Of course, the fridge was for hotel-provided liquor only, so we couldn't even put our Nalgene bottles in it. The hotel is connected to an indoor mall, which was fun to walk through once. After walking the Strip and losing a tiny bit of money, we were more than ready to head back to the wilderness. The Palazzo was an experience, but not one we will repeat---Vegas just isn't our thing. "Exceeded expectations"
The room was amazing, very luxurious. The front desk staff were very helpful. The artwork and decor of the public areas was outstanding and we enjoyed the entertainment that was happening all around the property. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. It was also nice that the resort fee was "optional", if you weren't planning on using the […] internet or fitness center, you could opt out. Breakfast service at "I love burgers" was not the greatest. We were the only guests in the place and the server was very busy stocking supplies to pay attention when our order was up, so eggs were not as hot as they could have been. Since there were more employees than guests in the restaurant, one would expect better service. I guess they are not used to folks getting up early enough for breakfast. "Very nice."
Complimentary Valet parking was great. Check in was easy, friendly and accommodating. Got a room on the 40th floor with a great view. The only complaint I had was that the entire floor and section where my room was located smelled of marijuana, but that's not really the hotels fault.Ósvikin umsögn gests á Hotels.com

"Close to all the action"

"Why do I ALWAYS get terrible views from my room?"
Everything except the location/view from my room was great. It seems like the hotel always puts people who book outside of their website (like expedia, etc) get the worst rooms available? I guess since they are being discounted the hotel gives us rooms that normally would be empty. My view was of the air conditioning units on the rooftop of the casino […] floor. Rooms were a nice large size, and very well kept and decorated. I really felt like its one of those places you stay if you are trying to go all out. Casino is beautiful, so is the pool and the staff is very friendly. They could have splurged a bit more on the mattresses, but I guess if you are doing Vegas right you will pass out anywhere. I also think […] room service could have been faster but the food was good. I was disappointed with their guest services team because they would not honor their price match guarantee due to a technicality and upgrade my room so I ended up booking through hotels.com instead and saved some $! Checked in with free valet around 2, but the room wasn't ready and when I checked again at 3, they moved things around and got my room. TIP: They will charge you $25/day for a resort fee, but I read the fine print and you can waive the fee. It also includes some coupons, but I didn't use all of them, but if you want to use the gym or spa you pay regular […] price, pool you just need to show your key. Got the luxury view room and it was PURE LUXURY, worth every penny! Only thing I noticed was that the wine glasses they provide had lip stains. Also, when I got my car back from valet, I felt crumbs on my steering wheel. Room had a great view of the pools and TI to watch the sirens show from the room. I would stay here again and again! The Palazzo & Venetian can't be beat. All suite rooms with great decor and every amenity you could ask for. What I like best is that there is so much to do, you don't ever need to leave if you don't want to. Staying at one hotel gives you access to both.
