The Villas of Grand Cypress – Orlando

This became the place I'll stay with every trip to Orlando. I'm almost afraid to say how much I loved and enjoyed it because I don't want it to be fully booked the next time we go back! The Villas are set back into gorgeous golf course landscape, but still close to everything to be easy to get around. The service was impeccable and the room was large […] and beautifully decorated (I came back with new ideas for a bathroom remodel at my own place) Our next stay will be longer for certain, because we didn't even get to use all the lovely amenities the property offers. I just felt removed from Disney parks. The office was not an easy walk from the room. There are golf carts, but it seemed odd to have to use a cart. It was very quiet! The golf courses looked nice! We were there with children. I think it is better suited for adults who want to golf.

Fantastic service! Almost scary how efficient. Bathroom needs updating.. but ive heard they are scheduled to update all the villas by Feb 2013. Only 2.5 miles from Downtown Disney, and perfecting secluded from the fast-paced Orlando. Overall, fantastic service and experience.

The rooms are very out of date. Our room and bathroom hadn't been updated since the 1980s, and it had the tackiness and grime to show for it. There was hair in our shower and bathtub, visible dirt and grime in the tile grout (again, it hasn't been updated in 30 years) and just in general everything was so dated it just felt gross. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The surroundings were peaceful and serene. Bathrooms large and accomodating, beds comfortable and kitchen a definite plus. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Excellent service. Beautiful and relaxing location. Very roomy rooms. The only drawback was that the rooms showed some wear and could have used a bit of an update, but not a reason not to take a look at this property. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Could not fault this part of our recent trip to America. The complex was stunning, the staff extremely helpful and courteous. Our villa was simply amazing. Close to local shops and quite close to the interstate for easy access to the rest of florida. Will absolutely be looking to stay here again when we go back to Florida.

The room was spaciouse, very clean with breathtaking wiev on the golf course. I was actually pleasuntly surprices, since it wasn't expencive. Restorant on premises I whould not recomend though, it had a funny smell and the staff was not friendly.

This is a great place for older couples looking to get away from all the noise and hubbub of the tourist attractions. Upscale and quiet atmosphere.

Hotel was easily accessible to the Disney parks, offered shuttle service to the transportation areas for the parks, but not to Downtown Disney, which would have been really nice. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about our stay. The room was very nice, staff very helpful in showing us where things were, climate control location and use for the room. […] The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. Ok, as a matter of ethics I have to praise the Villas of Grand Cypress, even as I fear its popularity and rates will explode with its pending remodel/update. We've stayed there 3 times and can't speak highly enough about the service--staff so friendly and responsive, seem to love their work, and many have been there over a decade. Good pool plus access […] to insane Hyatt kids' pools at hotel next door (free shuttle) and acres of bike riding trails w free bicycles (incl bikes w training wheels and child carrier seats), pitch n' putt golf at Hyatt also for kids. The hotel was not verry kid friendly. The shuttle was nice, and was able to take you to their other hotel. The hyatt had a super pool. My family and I spent most of the time at this hotel instead.

This was my second stay at the Villas. I absolutely love this place! It's very quite and relaxing and I love being able to get away from all the craziness of Disney. A true gem and I would recommend it to all couples and golfers who want a little piece of heaven right in the middle of Disney. Also, the golf courses are off the chain!

Great hotel, the whole staff from the security at the gate to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful.Everybody would greet us with a smile they would always ask if we needed anything. Would defintely visit again and will recomend to fiends.

I was very pleased with this resort. My husband and I always stay at Disney deluxe resorts and thought we should try outside of Disney and we were so pleased. The rooms were huge! The king size bed was so comfortable and the view of the lake and golf course breathtaking. Breakfast was top notch too!

We were traveling as a family of four with two kids, The hotel is set on a gorgeous golf course and the grounds were exquisite. They take great pride in their property and it shows for sure all around. It also has a 24 hour guarded gate which I like for security reasons. During our stay, we stayed in two different rooms. The first room was great and […] comfortable and I was VERY happy with it. Great proximity to the pool and it was very clean. The second room, however, I wasn't pleased with at all. Although it was still clean and everything, the beds were WAY TOOOO SMALL. We changed rooms because the first room only accomodated two guests in a bed and two on a pull out couch. I didnt think that sleeping on a pull out couch was acceptable. They moved our room to one with two double beds and these beds were totally INSUFFICIENT and WAY TOO SMALL for two people to sleep in. Although I loved the first room, they didnt have any of those types of rooms available to switch back to so we had to suffer in staying in the room with two double beds. I wouldnt recommend this type of room. The pool was very nice and the staff was very accomodating and one of the friendliest staffs I have ever come across. VERY friendly and helpful. This experience was the closest to feeling to living in a suburb (if you live near a golf course). The staff was very welcoming and offered us a beverage after a long drive. We were escorted to our temporary residence via golf cart. We were looking for a cozy place away from the hullabaloo of Orlando. The good: Guard gate, well landscaped grounds, open spaces, peaceful, pleasant...the villas are clustered in the center in multi-unit buildings. Close parking, private entrances, spacious layout of the two bedroom unit (two story), rear patio nice, clubhouse restaurant good but overly expensive, located very close to Disney without being in dense surroundings, […] overall good value. All the staff was very friendly around the whole resort. They also had free bike rentals available. We also had access the Hyatt Grand cypress resort which had a much bigger kid oriented pool with two slides, bikes, canoes,and paddle boats to use. As I mentioned at the beginning they staff was extremely friendly and helpfull and the rooms were nice. […] Our only complaint we had was that we had a villa directly on top of us and we could hear every footstep taking. Being used to crowed hotels in Orlando, even nice ones, the Villas of Grand Cypress were a wonderful surprise. Situated on a golf course just north of Disney's resorts, driving in is like arriving at a remote resort in the Caribbean. There is no indication that you are in Orlando until you drive away again. Our experience started off rocky. Our room wasn't ready on time - it was 6:00 before we got in our room. Then our keys didn't work. The people above us were heavy walkers and loud talkers; and there was no refridgerator. The stay got much better. The scenery was amazing and we always returned to a really clean room. The bartender at the poolside bar […] was extremely nice and delivered cold water to those at the pool. We would definitely return. We didn't golf, but used the driving range and practice greens. Rooms need a serious updating. Sinks and tubs rusted. Had to call maintenance twice to fix tub. Have access to facilities at the Hyatt but if you drive there you have to pay $11 for parking. Nothing within walking distance either. Good hotel for a group of golfers but that's about it.

We stayed for 2 nights. Although at 1st night we checked in around 01:00 in the morning, Michael the receptionist was very nice, he even allowed us to do room service (we ordered pizza). WE left early morning around 0730 am and came back at 12:00 at night. I do not understand what the resort fee was, when we were there just for a place to sleep. But […] I requested a nice view which I got. Very Nice. The room was very spacious. The room is not very modern, but the TV is flat screen and HD wc is enough.
