Antoinette Hotel Wimbledon – London

The Hotel is fine, I'd guess it's a 90s build. It was very quiet while I was there, in fact I saw no other visitors. Receptionist was friendly and efficient. The room was clean but quite small, however I have experienced smaller in London ! Overall a reasonable experience .

Paid an extortionate amount to stay in a dive but have learnt my lesson. Paid for an executive room and stated I was disabled yet the room had a bath which obviously I could not use. When I asked to be moved I was told that the only other executive room was above the function room and there was a DJ playing for 2 nights so was pretty much given the […] choice of no sleep or not to wash! When we were finally moved after 2 days the room was a quarter of the size and seemed to be a standard double yet I was still charged the executive rate. Breakfast was very average. Our room was not cleaned on one of the days either. If you are disabled DO NOT stay here. Even when we were moved it was a shower with a step up into it not a wash room and we still had to go up and down 4 stairs which for me is impossible. Also the left only holds one person at a time and would not fir a wheelchair. Staff were all very pleasant but that is about the only good thing this hotel has to offer. Lesa meira

Have stayed at this hotel before and it was fine. Whilst not a plush 4-star hotel, the bedrooms are quite nice and large, and the staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful. However, on this occasion, for both nights, we did not sleep well, due to noisy rowdy fellow guests outside on their balcony at 4am. I had a great experience a the Antoinette. It is a great hotel with a good location and clean facilities. The breakfast is good and there is free internet.

My room, though a different one from first visit, again was like a cell. Grubby paintwork and no access to window without climbing over the bed as not enough room to walk round it. I have not been in such a small hotel room since student accomodation 30 years ago. Tiny shower room was clean though and nice hand and shower gels. For two grown -ups the bed is 1.40 m. . The floor was filthy, bathroom okay but the room was without any decoration. Walls very thin, one hears everything next door. The breakfast, a horrotrip !!!

Room was adequate but there was nothing exceptional about any aspect of the hotel. They advertised having a restaurant but it was actually next door, with a £5.00 delivery fee for their overpriced room service. The fitness center was a few blocks away. It's ok for an overnight, nothing flash. Rooms are small and basic. Staff weloming and helpful. Car parking an absolute bonus.

The hotel rooms have been well modernised and the staff were really helpful, polite and generally pleasant to deal with. The common areas are a bit dated and the corridors upstairs a little narrow with odd little staircases all over the place on the 1st floor. breakfast was plentiful and it was a pleasure to have eggs cooked freshly rather than the […] usual congealed hotplate-full that you normally get. This is a very good, value for money hotel in Wimbledon. We booked it for three nights in June. The double club room was basic but very clean with all the basic amenities. The staff is polite and courteous.

The hotel was cleanish, and in walking distance of the tunnel and many shops and pubs. Its location next to the YMCA was not ideal as I was approached by multiple drunks asking for money. All in all good for the price.

I always enjoy staying at this hotel conveniently situated between Kingston-Upon-Thames and Surbiton. The staff are helpful and the rooms are simple but comfortable.

Stayed here because of location. Visiting our daughter who lives very close. Refurbishment badly needed. Also, disappointing that items such as shower cap and tissues not provided.

Pictures of the rooms were misleading, very small room but served it's purpose as it was very close to Wimbledon Theatre where we had to be early morning, requested a room call but never got it, good location for all amenities.

The Antoinette is somewhat like your basic 'Super 8' in the USA - not a great luxury (or even upper end) hotel, but functional. Beds are hard and lighting in rooms is dark. It is, however, very convenient if you have business in Wimbledon and is in a safe neighborhood.

The Antoinette is the only regular hotel in the Wimbledon area, apart from a luxury country house hotel and a few small bed-and-breakfast establishments. But it's quite well situated, 10 minutes from Wimbledon and South Wimbledon stations and on several bus routes, with a reasonable car park and easy access from the A3. Breakfast is more than adequate and reasonable value for the London area, and there is a small bar area. Just outside is a bar/restaurant, and a number of alternative choices on the main road towards the town centre. The street outside can at times be a little noisy, but this is the London area and there are few tranquil spots. Having used this hotel several times, we're quite happy to use it as the only realistic option, and it's clearly popular with business and leisure guests from all over Europe and beyond. Lesa meira

Having read previous reviews we opted for their most expensive rooms which are situated at the back of the hotel and are very quiet. The room had recently been refurbished and was clean and spacious. Convenient and well priced for Wimbledon. CLean and comfortable. £10 for a cot a little disappointing... But free car parking in a town centre location makes up for this.

The room was basic but very clean, decor was a little dated but the room had tea and coffe making facilities and a TV. The Hotel also had a dining area with a good menu as well as offering a discount at the resteraunt next door. The staff were very polite and informative, overall a very pleasant stay.

We were visiting our son who lives in Wimbledon. The hotel is very convenient and good value for money. We would recommend it. The only downside is that the local nightclub kept us awake on the Friday night until the early hours of the morning.

Your reception and dining room staff are lovely. We stayed in rooms 401 and 402. Both rooms are small and scruffy - could do with either a proper clean, walls, skirting boards etc or a coat of paint. The lighting is dreadful - you can't read in bed and neither can you read a paper in the dining room - too dim! You need dedicated reading lights in the […] bedrooms and a fridge. The hotel was ideally located for us as we were in the area househunting. Some great little local shops and an absolutely fantastic Italian restaurant within a 5 minute walk called Al Forno - very reasonably priced with exceptionally good food and great wines plus friendly very efficient service. Hotel was clean and bathroom appeared to have been refurbished but hotel was very basic. I was in a single room which was very small. Had to get out of bed to swith the light on or off! Walls paper thin - could hear everything in next room. Quite noisy - when room doors being open would think they were trying to open mine.

Club Roomに宿泊しました。部屋は若干狭いですが清潔感があり、洗面所・シャワーブースは比較的最近改装されたようでとても綺麗でした。値段相応の内容だと思います。 場所はWinbledon駅から徒歩10分程度で、ホテルの前にバス停もあります。駅からの道中には大型スーパーがあり、買い物には困りませんでした。 ただ、ひとつ残念だったのが、ホテルの１階にあるバーが遅くまで大音量で音楽を流していて、それが客室にも響いていました。音が気になる方は気を付けた方が良いです。

유럽 호텔들은 무척 작지만 여긴 런던 도심을 벗어나서 그런지 방은 넓은 편이네요.(물론 동남아 호텔보단 작지만) 아침식사 포함이 아니어서 따로 지불했지만 그래도 아침은 먹을만 했고요. 식당 직원이 부지런히 다니며 세팅하고 계란을 스크램블러 먹을지 다른걸로 먹을지 물어보고 갖다주고 아침은 여유 있게 먹었습니다. 엘리베이터는 무척 작아서 큰 캐리어는 한사람만 겨우 들어가더군요. 그나마 얼마전에 주인이 바뀌면서 내부를 수리해서 방이나 욕실이 낡았다는 느낌은 들지는 않았고요. 저처럼 윔블던에 있어야 할 사람이라면 괜찮은 호텔 같네요. 지하철을 이용하지는 않았지만, 윔블던역과 사우스 윔블던 사이로 기억합니다.
